I’d argue this is one of *the* most enjoyable videos on this channel. Cool airline in a lesser known country, very detailed, good and all and different flights and aircrafts…
I like Dan's content, even if he comes across as a bit entitled. He always said he's a soft product kind of guy and wouldn't mind Emirates 777 business class that people lambast all the time. If you want someone who I really struggle to gel with on aviation youtube, may I suggest someone whose initials are JC.
@@magnustan841Josh Cahill, well if you're talking about him then I can't disagree more. I love Josh's Trip reports the most and how blunt he is at reviewing airlines. Puts it just as is. Nonstop Dan on the other hand I've found to be more hard to like his vids over the years. Keep in mind I've been watching him since his early days in 2017
Been following your channel for a while but never mentioned this. Your intro is the best intros among aviator channels out there.. Great job on that ND of course your brutally honest opinions on your flight coverings Greetings from osloo,Norway
Suggestion. Fly Oman Air from Muscat to Khasab, no-one that I can find has done a review of the Khasab airport experience, it's the most amazing landing/takeoff, straits of Hormuz on one side and moutains on the other, you can even see Iran across the straits.
Air Astana is recognised as the best airline in Central Asia and the CIS Air Astana was awarded the Skytrax Award for the 12th time as “Best Airline in Central Asia and the CIS” and for the eighth time was awarded for “Best Airline Staff Service in Central Asia & CIS ”. The ceremony honouring the winners took place in England. New terminal in Almaty has done and works very well 👍 And More over Borat has nothing to do with Kazakhstan he is a Crazy comedian.
Very good review and Air Astana is probably one of the most underrated airlines out there. The food looked very well presented and not far behind from Qatar, I would argue. Josh Cahill is a big fan of Air Astana and now I have watched this video I totally get it. I would love to try them as well one day.
13:42 😂😂😂 23:59 why is this channel so funny hahahaha And yes I watched to the end, why wouldn't I, some of the best narrating on UA-cam at this point! Great video, I hope you enjoyed your trip 🇰🇿
I got the notification for this video right before I had to go to work this afternoon, so this was really nice to watch after a long shift. SCAT airlines sure sounds... interesting :) As expected, this was another great video from you. I'd love to go to Kazakhstan one day if I ever get the chance
I also want to write, I wanted to say about Kazakhstan, Kazakhstan is a very rich country in Oil and Gas and is in first place in URANIUM production, and Kazakhstan produces good, clean OSMIUM! Kazakhstan is a wonderful country!
I think Air Astana is truly missing on its potential. Kazakhstan is located in the middle between Europe and Asia, and since the closure of Russian airspace it could serve as a bridge between the continents. However they would have to settle on one hub and build and airport that is truly fit for international travel.
Refreshing, complete, you took the time fully describe the experience, which is the entire reason for the channel in my eyes. Yes, made to the end, and yes, I enjoyed it. Don’t think for a moment about rushing through anything to shorted the time. Three flights takes a while. It’s all good
I stuck around till the end 🙂👍🏻 great review of Air Astana services. I'm also not the biggest fan of the Almaty airport. Keep going, thanks for the video.
Stuck out till the end of the video? That's a given thing David. I love your videos, you nail every small bit without ANY nonsense. Just the right facts, details and shots. Truly every video is a masterpiece. Kudos to the team. Salam ❤
During my flight from Beijing to Almaty on the 29th of March, their breakfast options only consisted two vegetarian options but when my flight out had only beef and chicken options. Though both were fabulous, it was rather interesting to only have vegetarian options
I love these long videos, I love to fly and travel but am currently stuck in college, sometime I hope to experience these things also. Thanks for reviewing them!
Air Astana is way better than i would have expected based on this video, they really should have joined an alliance or simply offer more mileage earning opportunities for ffp members from other parts of the world.
Stuck around to the end and I am glad I did! Air Astana is not an airline I see myself being on in the future (not because I do not want to but just reasonably probably will not take just due to where I live, etc.) so it is so awesome to view it through your video!
Anyone else notice how he passed by an Air Premia 787 while departing Seoul, and then pulled in next to an Air Premia 787 in Frankfurt? 👀 Maybe its a sign to make a video about them next haha
As we had betrayed by Russia, which is still ill of its imperialism, Turkic nations are trying to provide its own security, economic prosperity, and peaceful environment in the near future. I watched the whole thing and it was amazing I remember the first video I watched from your channel, The Swiss C Series 100 from Paris to Vienna via Zurich and seeing how the channel has evolved impresses me! One day will I get to do this!
Great Detailed Video David. Solid in-depth Review done by you. Air Astana experience looks amazing from your eyes. I didn’t even feel the Video was long. It felt like I myself was traveling with you and enjoying the In Flight Travel Experience. Keep up the Good Work.
If you've done SIA Business with their narrow footholes before, I wonder how you'd compare these Air Astana ones to those. I'm quite impressed with the amenity kit in the final flight.
Watched till the end. Enjoyed the video. Almaty airport was the only place I experienced corruption where I was asked for money to take something I had bought in Almaty as a gift. He didn’t get money so I lost the gift. I’ll never go through there again.
2 flights that I would recommend you fly and review are both on Korean air! 1st flight is aboard the a380 from JFK to Incheon and the 2nd flight is from Gimpo to Osaka aboard the 737 MAX 8. I’ve been on Korean air’s a380 before back in 2018 and in my opinion they did super great.
It's a sad testament to American aviation when developing countries such as Kazakhstan offer a far superior domestic travel product. I cringe at the thought of flying anywhere domestically, yet I'm always eager to fly on a foreign airline. I wish Air Astana success in their future endeavors, they look very promising..
My fascination with aviation in Central Asia only grew with this vid. I believe there are still Avros and Maddogs in Kyrgyzstan or somewhere around there, Noel made a review of those.
I love/prefer to fly business n higher. Cutting back on spending, I've grown to love P.E. class. Especially anything under 8 hrs. Keep up the great work. You're the best airline reviewer on YT. You fly all classes
We can enjoy you rambling, so don’t worry, a lot of us stayed up until the end =] I prefer this type of videos so it was good to add another airline to the wishlist!
Love to see how much this channel has grown over the years but has kept one thing the same, the honesty in the reviews. Truly a rare thing today

Love the fact that you start the video in Incheon talking about air Premia and end the video by the plane parking next to air Premia!
I noticed that too, definitely a funny coincidence.
Paid actor 😂
I have flown Air Astana between Seoul to Almaty several times. The airline holds its own among the great airlines of the world.

Air Astana is very interesting, I wouldn't have thought a Kazakh airline could be so successful
Air Astana is half British owned. I think this investment is a huge part behind its expansion. Long may it continue
It was one of the few airlines that survived Covid without aid

Appetising food and a rare trip on a 767. Great seat pod. Really like it. 😊

11:00 This is the type of onboard service one enjoys so much, you wish the flight will not come to an end too quickly but should last a little longer.
This airline needs more attention. It looks amazing and it would be super cool to fly in an Astana 767!

I watched the entire video and enjoyed it all. You do high quality work focusing on the airline versus focusing on yourself like Josh Cahill does.
You explain everything with so much detailing. Just love it! Keep on with the hard work!
I like longer videos like this. I think it´ll be a good idea to visit Almatys new terminal when it´s finished, to see the difference.
Crazy to think that Air Astans's 767s are actually younger than some early 787s flying.
They also have 787-9s on order.
