its not about the affinity part but the hard part was leaving one enemy alive cuz they had rakunda on and they leave just to bring back the same reinforcements. fail this once and youre wasting some turns recovering from the damage. In other words bring Haru or else the last reinforcement is a bit harder to deal. Part of the reason this was hard for me cuz i kept messing up to actually guard the big bang blast and rakunda did not protect joker enough
I literally could not figure out how to take down the green robots. 4 Super tanky targets, and only one turn to take 'em all out? wtf? My solution after two failed attempts, of course, was to destroy them with myriad facts & logic
@@veryloudcat8839 I had to grab a sticky note amd write down every weakness (each robot has two). Then I had to use consumables of those damage types to build up to Joker using a Mark 4 Baton Pass to double-strike group curse damage And sometimes evem that wasn't enough
I've been playing unga bunga up till this boss so the difficulty spike definitely caught me off guard. Made me realize how important utilizing items and baton pass can be
I almost beat this boss 1st try... then the game crashed on me and I had to do it again. So I got back to where it crashed, I progressed until robo Haru aaaaand it crashed again. For the 3rd time, went back to take Odin (was in NG+, he's my most powerful persona in my 1st blind run), lowered difficulty to Easy just to breeze through it. Okumura boss, the worst fight ever, for a completely different reason.
Oh and what were you originally playing it on? I played through easy only coz I hate grinding and it just took a long time coz I was killing like 3 (one with a defense boost)
@Medhansh Jani tbf you dont need to grind on hard mode if you just beat every enemy at least once, which is standard if youre not rushing through. I tried easy and it removes the feeling of danger entirely. Have you tried hard difficulty yet? You should if youre planning a run in new game+
the first and last time a boss forced me to use bomb-type items so I could chain a max. lv baton pass TWICE IN EACH TURN just for a somewhat solid chance to wipe all those green-bots before Okumura reseted the whole damn wave again

Yeah, I had the same issue. Actually took me three try’s cause the first time I didn’t realize that you had to clear them all at once so I sat there for 30 minutes killing an endless wave of enemies.
And don't use multi hit spells right away, because of 1 more you can optimize the damage by downing everyone except one robot to use the multi hitting spell and them again
@@kauanjos3199 Can you do a 4x baton when starting with the one who has the multi hit spell (if no one else has it)? Or are you then limited to only an attack that doesn't hit a weakness and then do a 3x baton back to person that has the multi hit?
@@derblaue If you use single target moves that target the weakness, then every party member gets to pass the baton. That’s why everyone is mentioning using items for the characters that don’t have spells to target the weakness.
Futaba gave me Moral Support right when all the other enemies died and it was only him left. It's like her scanning Mementos just to find it is a straight path🤦♂😢
Same man. I haven't played that many Turn-based RPGs before, so Persona and, more specifically, Okumura really humbled me. Before this, I was just playing Action and Story games, and Gacha games, so I was definitely out of my comfort zone. It was very fun though, from the start of the game to the end, endless fun. Hopefully P4G will live up to the hype as well! Don't know about P3 though since I've heard that the ending is quite tragic, and I'm not that fond of non-happy ending stories.
Well placed, Okumura never knew what hit him, well, hit his employees. If I remember right for my first Merciless run, I ended up using the Haru, Morgana and Makoto. Morgana nuked the first wave, Haru for the 2nd, Makoto for the 3rd, Joker + Morgana for the 4th, Joker + Haru for the green boys. Your way worked really well as well, beat him in less than 6min.

This fight frustrated me so much that I grabbed Messiah from the velvet room (I had the free DLC) and just spammed megidolaon the whole time and that's how I won
Fought him like three times but I just didn't had the damage to kill the last round of roboemployees (using my best attacks of course, using charge and buffing my attack) in two turns before they ran away After going back to the real world I farmed some more in mementos and found out a cristal stone which I used to buff Haru's psy attack 50%, after that I destroyed Okumura easily, I don't think his roboemployees had even one chance to strike back

@@ismaelrestrepovelez894 I think there were a couple or so times I actually died because I made mistakes when fighting the big green ones or the giant one, but regardless, 10*30 = 300 and 300 minutes into hours is 5 hours, so I spent more or less 5 hours fighting Okumura. I struggled, but my strategy worked in the end. I did have to go back and grind though, and relied on luck. I went to play darts with everyone to get their baton pass up to max and then I played through the majority of Okumura's Palace again to grind.
Well, I thought you were going to bust out some Tarukaja Concentrate Megidolaon shenanigans on the big robot, but I guess using dlc personas is the correct way to get this annoying boss out of the way
I struggled for hours with the last wave of bots until I stopped trying to hit their weakness with joker (my one psy persona at the time didn’t have multi-hit past first tier) and just went straight for the Megidola. THAT got em good
I stayed in Hard mode to beat this fight. Absolute hell, you have to baton pass and use items or you simply aren’t going to be able to take out the waves before they disappear and you’ll end up wasting tons of MP.

Queen, Noir, Mona. Farm technicals and use psy magatamas on the green bots. If your weakened a neo cadenza really helps. Baton pass Rising slash on fox for the executive bot. I never really used any of the dlc personas fromt eh directory, I just fused them. Some good ones to fuse are the neo cadenza version of orpheus picaro and tsyukiomi which I see you have. They’re easy to fuse but you could always just claim them for free if you don’t find anything wrong with it.
Listen…I didn’t save, didn’t have any heals or anything, no extra mp hp nothing. I was dead tired and I couldn’t think straight, Makoto saved my ass on the final boss. You will not believe the relief I felt when the final green pixel depleted on that fuckers health bar
I mean before this point players probably just used baton pass as a way to switch to the party member with the right element to get an all out attack. However in this fight when all the minions are knocked down, there is no all out attack, they just get back up. So you realize to maximize damage, you need to abuse One More to get as many turns as possible by only using single target spells first. With every additional turn, Baton Pass to rack up the damage multiplier. Then on your last turn, hit all the enemies with your best multi hit spell.

Buying the weak psy and curse equips helps a lot here for baton passes which hes built to make you learn. Also having makoto to dekunda the defense buff away
damn, if I had known I could use items to hit their weakness and trigger a baton pass at the time, this battle would have been a lot easier. Kinda wish I knew about a lot of things going into this fight lol
I grinded in mementos for four hours, and fused Odin and Zaou Gongen beforehand. I used elec break on the green robots then nuked them with Odin, and used Zaou Gongen for last two waves, ez game.
Okumura wasn't difficult for me, just tedious. I never felt I was in any particular danger of losing the battle, but more so getting annoyed spamming the same moves over andover
since I played in the switch version, I had all the DLCs on if I wanted but I decided not to just go to the compendium and get them. okumura made me change my mind, I just spammed Doors of Hades to even stand a chance
Ive played twice, once on non-royal version without heavily out leveling him, I believe I was on normal and didnt have too much trouble ( no baton passes were used), my second time was with royal on hard and by that point I had already grinded the reaper to level 99 with izanagi no okami, so I used Myriad Truth each turn and oneshot each wave.
OMG DUDE. I did the exact same thing at the end by mistake, i hade already finished the game before and forgot that he basically died at one hit in the end so nonchalant i just pull my gun out and shot him with it but then remembered what happens next and i LOST IT i had like a moment
When I first fought this boss, I was raging because I just could figure out how to beat those goddammit robots who just ran away!!! It's different now that I know the strat to use against him. But this video is satisfying nonetheless
After over 20 tries. I gave up and summoned Izanagi-No-Okami. Wiped my ass with Okumura. Its too bad its such a pain to fight because the story gets really good after this boss. (no spoil plz)

This boss teaches you to abuse Baton Pass and in that respect I think it's a pretty cool boss
And then the next two bosses have no weaknesses and block all status effects, so you can never do it again.

damn, if I had known I could use items to hit their weakness and trigger a baton pass at the time, this battle would have been a lot easier. Kinda wish I knew about a lot of things going into this fight lol
I grinded in mementos for four hours, and fused Odin and Zaou Gongen beforehand. I used elec break on the green robots then nuked them with Odin, and used Zaou Gongen for last two waves, ez game.

Okumura wasn't difficult for me, just tedious. I never felt I was in any particular danger of losing the battle, but more so getting annoyed spamming the same moves over andover
Yea I don't remeber him being even a tiny bit difficult even without dlc cheats.

since I played in the switch version, I had all the DLCs on if I wanted but I decided not to just go to the compendium and get them.

Ive played twice, once on non-royal version without heavily out leveling him, I believe I was on normal and didnt have too much trouble ( no baton passes were used), my second time was with royal on hard and by that point I had already grinded the reaper to level 99 with izanagi no okami, so I used Myriad Truth each turn and oneshot each wave.
I've been stuck on this prick for a while now, so this will be useful

OMG DUDE. I did the exact same thing at the end by mistake, i hade already finished the game before and forgot that he basically died at one hit in the end so nonchalant i just pull my gun out and shot him with it but then remembered what happens next and i LOST IT i had like a moment

When I first fought this boss, I was raging because I just could figure out how to beat those goddammit robots who just ran away!!! It's different now that I know the strat to use against him. But this video is satisfying nonetheless
After over 20 tries. I gave up and summoned Izanagi-No-Okami.
Wiped my ass with Okumura. Its too bad its such a pain to fight because the story gets really good after this boss. (no spoil plz)
