Apparently Vanilla MH4 (which we never got in the west) didn't have Shield Charging, Guard Points, nor even SAED! So I can see their intention of the early version being fairly basic. According to GaijinHunter it was like playing 3rd gen LS.

@@stonaraptor8196 I wouldn't count on them completely remaking these games with "PC graphics", I think it would just be basic remasters like Monster Hunter 3 on Wii-U
Bring back underwater combat for Wilds, please! Since MH3, the series got a faster movement speed thanks to World and a proper joystick to control the camera (unlike PSP and 3DS) it will feel better than ever.
There was actually an adapter to add an extra joystick on 3ds for the camera and they later ended up putting a small joystick sensor on the newer 3ds's for the camera but yea if you didn't have the adapter back then playing 4 on the 3ds wasn't as convenient let's say
I would love to get underwater battles again AND the vertical segments of MH4 and 5. Underwater might need some refinement since not everyone like it but to me it was fun.
With all the great thing they doing i really hope they complete the circuit with underwater battles again that gives the game a whole lot more freedom and size
@TitusMH yeah it wasn't perfect even among my group some of them hated them others enjoyed them, but now that the games has improved soo much that aspect might have too, either way I'm looking forward to what's coming
Monster Hunter Tri was my first game in the series and I had great memories of just discovering how awesome this series is. My friends had no idea what MH was and I felt like the indie kid who played the cool stuff before it became popular, but I’m so happy to see how big MH has gotten over the years.
Tri was my first one too, I was in the complete dark on how to play it (having no friends or internet to ask for help). I didn't even learn that potions were a thing you could make till I got to the Flooded Forest, till that point I relied on the first aid meds and the camp bed for healing. There was a lot of frustration but I kept coming back every now and again, when I eventually got internet access and was able to find out about the mechanics of the game (like making potions). That's when it really sunk it's teeth into me and here we are now.
Same I bought it randomly because I had a good grade and my father was like "pick a game". None of my friends were playing it and now I'm probably the one that has the least hours on any MH out of them.
this comment are filled with CB mains trying to make their favorite weapon sounds more accessible, or people who picked up CB, spam one thing, and never truly understand it. either way, it's a great weapon. and yeah their comment is pretty hilarious, since CB is considered as one of the -if not the, most technical weapon in all of monhun.
The cashier at our local gamestop gave us the demo and said "check it out, the game is pretty good". Pretty good was an understatement. MH3 was my introduction to MH. Initially, I was baffled at how to play because I had no experience with the weapon mechanics or monster behavior. But, over time I figured it out and I started playing religously. Done with homework? Play some Monster Hunter. Got spare time? Play some Monster Hunter. Eventually MH4U came around and I got into that and I fell even more in love with the series. MH4U is the only game I maxed out my rank, with 1300+ hours and HR999. It's still my favorite game out of all of them, with MH3/U coming in 2nd place and MHGU in 3rd.
Ah yes, Monster Hunter Tri. That's where I started with the series. I have a lot of great memories about this game especially about Loc Lac, the city that served as the games online hub. I would love to see that city returning to the series.
Please, Capcom and the MH Team, port Double Cross over to the PC. It has so many unique and classic monster that no one that has only played World and Rise has been able to enjoy yet. Plus the customisation is still THE BEST in the series. Let the whole world, old and new fans of the franchise, be able to enjoy what it really means to play Monster Hunter. Please, Capcom!

It's really a shame that the last of these will be going dark in April with 4U's servers shutting down. I started with World and I've grown to love 4U and even as far back as Freedom Unite. What I wouldn't give to be able to play them with friends in the future. I don't want to say I'm begging but, I'm begging that at least some of old gen can get modern ports, it's the 20th anniversary after all, I'm sure plenty of fivers out there would like a taste of the old world, I know I did.
Bring back all the titans like dire miralis, the jhen mohrans & dalamdurs pleeease😱 throw kulve in the mix too maybe make el dorado a new expedition map in wilds ???🤌
so what the monster hunter community really want is playing monster hunter on mobile device? bro i respect you, but you're representing a very tiny community there 😂 good luck to you all, nevertheless.

I mean I respect Fujioka-san but after trying out MHWilds beta, it just not the same as it was before when he said that.
Tri was my first MH. I played it with the Wiimote and nunchuck because I didn't had a classic controller pro. It was kinda terrible playing like that so I stopped for a while and then 3U came with the Wii U I kept playing there.
I think charge blade could do with actually being a bit simpler. Not that it's tough to execute. But having to charge up vials, shield and sword while dodging a wild monster is... challenging. I enjoy the weapon, but every time i charge everything the monster up and runs. 😂
