What you also might want to look into is „XtremeFX2“ by UVI - similar to Krotos, you can create your own sounds from a variety of different scenarios, at no subscription cost!:)

Yeah, I cannot agree more and I have definitely spent more money on crappy softwares and plug-ins but this time it‘s a no-brainer, especially because this plugin is only out for like 3 months? I feel like this is going to be huge, with more add-ons they provide hopefully in the future!:)

I am not going to update the video! You can still get the free version for free, if you like it, you can upgrade to the full paid version (which is a subscription by now) but with over 100 and more different sound scenarios!:)

Yeah - to give a little more context here - Krotos Studio hasn’t been around for very long - when they first launched it, it came as a free ‚test‘ version with just a couple sound scenarios, then they launched the Genesis Pack which had more sound scenarios but it was a one time payment of $29 - then, they released Krotos Studio with over 100 and more different Sound Scenarios (and they add more on a monthly basis) which you could use if you upgrade to the subscription model which they launched alongside (that included the Genesis pack) - so basically everyone who bought Krotos Studio with the Genesis Pack will keep that forever as a one time payment, but now since the Genesis Pack is included in the Full Krotos Studio, they no longer offer it as a Stand-Alone one time payment. It‘s just the subscription now - but they didn’t force me to upgrade or anything! I Upgrades to the subscription because I really enjoy this software!:)

The free version is no longer available- this was an early adopters version, now they went over to a subscription model and they add updates and more sounds every month

Not yet, but I am in close contact with Krotos and they are currently working on exactly that! 🙌🏽

Hey! After you downloaded and installed the software, it is automatically installed in your NLE as a vst plugin!:)
Check effects library, audio effects - au / vst effects.
The last time I tried it, it didn’t work that good as plugin, that’s why I only showed the standalone version!:)

@@CabralCreates Yeah - you have to shut it down and re-open it again to get it working 😄 that’s what I experienced as well! I couldn’t get the audio to stop and ‚bounce‘ it to the timeline. However, I am (after making this video) in very close contact to Krotos and I got told they are working super hard on their ‚Pro‘ version where you can also import your own sound library and use it just like that to create even more sounds - it won’t be available to public until the end of the year, unfortunately! :(

Hi Sebastian, Thank you so much for this video and recommendation from Krotosstudio. I downloaded this and bought a license for the Genesissoundpack 2Gb !!! (€25). Nice to see you grow and how everything becomes more professional, such as your presentation and studio background. You can follow your pace well, because we have to translate everything into Dutch and participate / pause on the computers. Hopefully, despite growth, you will just stay yourself. Many fast-growing young UA-camrs become arrogant and then the fun is over, but I think this would not be the case for you. You're a cool guy. Once again thank you very much. BTW I made a post in the PersXpress community, you might like a bit of advertising.
You say this has no affiliation or sponsor, but your face is on their website and you're non-critically reviewing a piece of software and thanking them for it in the comments. Doesn't seem fairly unbiased in my eyes.
Hey Markus, I get your concerns.
However (as you might see in the description, it is NOT an affiliate link and neither did I get paid to make this video by Krotos.
I just simply found out about them, tried it, loved it, bought the ‚full‘ version (back then it was only the ‚Genesis‘ Bundle) - loved this as well and decided I‘d share it with my viewers.
Krotos then did happen to see the video (because I tagged them in the description, to just show my appreciation for the app - nothing wrong with that, right?) and they actually liked it a lot, so they decided to reach out to me AFTER THE VIDEO WAS ALREADY LIVE and ask whether or not they could use what I said about this plugin as a testimonial- nothing wrong with that either, right?
Since then they have asked me multiple times if I want to get an affiliate link (which I always denied, with the simple reason that I love this software so much, they should keep the earnings ad put them into further development of the app).
Send me an email, I‘ll happily share the convo I had with them with the dates.
Oh and btw, the video was a non-critical review because I had nothing to criticize. It‘s still available as a free test version with a limited (14, if I remember correct) span of sound effect scenarios that you can use forever. How would you criticize that? That they’re not giving away the full plug-in for free? Wouldn’t make sense I guess. Second is the „full“ version (back the , as I said only the Genesis plugin) was a 1 time payment of only $29 - how would you criticize that? That they aren’t charging you only $1?
Third point: the app is crazy easy to use and integrates perfectly into the sound design workflow - again, what could one criticize here?
Do you also know of a software that has the usual sounds that most youtubers use? Like the pop sound when texts shows up on screen and so on? Or does Krotos studio provide that as well?
Hey Prathamesh - unfortunately Krotos Studio does only provide "Interface" sounds such as Notifications, Error messages ad stuff like that! Maybe they'll add this in the future, but I don't know!
I get all my other stuff from artlist - they have in my opinion the best Music & SFX library (and I pretty much had "all" other options such as Epidemic Sound and Audiio as well)

The UA-cam audio Library might also be a good place to find music and sfx, just go to your UA-cam studio dashboard, on the left you can see the "Audio Library" where you can download music and sfx for free as well!

Okay „bruh“ let me clarify 2 things here: the time I made this video, Krotos had a free option (limited sounds)and a paid version ($29 / one time) for Krotos Studio + Genesis bundle.
A lot of people who had notifications on for my channel were able to download it for free.
And as Krotos added more and more sound scenarios every single month, they changed pricing to a subscription model - sorry for you being late to the party but I‘m not responsible for that, neither am I responsible for a company to change their pricing.
2. I discovered Krotos, bought the Genesis plug-in with my own money , thought it is worth sharing, created the video, Krotos saw it and contacted me if I would drop them a testimonial - again, you might not be familiar with that but that’s a common business practice to ask happy customers for a review / testimonial, which is exactly why my face is on their website.
Oh and 3:
After they contacted me, they offered me an affiliate link, so I get a commission for every sale through that link - which I declined as one could then - potentially- argue, that this was a biased review. To this day, I have not received a single cent from Krotos - and the link in the description is still the original link and not an affiliate link!
so everybody get the same sounds
Well, it‘s very hard to get the same sound as everybody else, except you manage to move your mouse to the millimeter exactly the same as another person. The sound is created by dragging within the field - depending on what area you are in the field, the sound is completely different
Annoyingly it's now a subscription service. Like everything these days
I mean since the Genesis Plugin (which was like $30 - 1 time) it has a missively increased library of over 120+ sound scenarios and there are more to come every single month - going for a subscription makes the most sense tbh and it really is affordable at $10/month - that’s like 2-3 coffees
@@SebastianFriedrichVisuals I appreciate it doesn't seem much, but stack together, Adobe subscriptions, music licensing, insurance, cloud storage, phone apps, etc You start looking at easily over £150 a month, to never actually own anything. With no cap on prices increasing.
