    This is a perfect example of how EVERY Tutorial should be. Thank you for explaining with so much detail (eg the arrows, the circles around where you click), it is a lot more work for you but it makes your videos soo much more professional and easier to understand and follow. 10/10. Have a wonderful day, Sir!

      I think that with these aids it is easier for beginners, I also think it's good to add a lot of zooms since a lot of people see it from their phones, all help is good.

    Started working in VFX in late 90s and that Magic Mask that we have today is really magical. Without rotoscoping, without keying of green screen and get that quality results, just amazing!

    @kwyjibo33 Рік тому +5

    The one thing that always gets me is, in ALL these demos on UA-cam, the magic mask ALWAYS works so perfectly. Look at this! Done in seconds! When in practice, I've NEVER had a magic mask work so perfectly. I've always had to spend hours going frame by frame fixing it because something in the background ALWAYS gets picked. Or part of the body gets lost in some frames. I would love to see an actual video about how to fix your magic mask when it goes wrong, which seems to be the norm, unlike what you see on UA-cam. Don't get me wrong, this is a great video and I truly appreciate it! But, would love to see a 'when things go wrong' type of video to see how it's handled.

      The problem you mention in the other comment is a common problem, I don't know if they will fix it in the future.
      As a recommendation, if you have to modify or work with the clip in the timeline,
      you can export a video with only the mask in the following way: ua-cam.com/video/Ly9U4MahDKQ/v-deo.html

    • @schmutz06
      @schmutz06 Рік тому

      @@SergiomotaENG Thanks. And thanks for the other vid regarding alpha export, that'll work although I hope they will patch this soon. I've been making motion graphics (mostly Adobe AE) for around 17 years, so picking up resolve and having to figure out where the things I want are has been interesting. I've actually struggled to find some more advanced tutorials - ones that go at pace, like this, and throw loads of information at the viewer. I don't need to understand how keyframes and curve editors change the motion, I just want to quickly figure out where everything is lol. Love using Resolve so far, it's immediately made me enjoy editing again. Finally using software that feels modern and uses my computers resources.

    I just subscribed because: 1) you show us up front the end result we're going for here. That's huge. When skimming through 100's of UA-cam videos, it's exhausting to scrub thru them trying to find out what the h3ll they are actually going to show us. Thanks! (2) You lay out the steps in a manner that really resonates. Logical, nothing missing, great pacing IMO! (3) This video filled in the blanks I was missing re: magic mask! (4) Your production value, especially the audio quality and your voice too, is super! Your inflection, pacing, "framing" ... you sound like a VO artist! I really appreciate that. For, it makes hearing your tutorials a joy. Ooops! Now I see: "Voice-over by alancrookham." Excellent decision!! That dude knocks it out of the park, as we say in the US.
    For me, I really need a tutor's voice (and the audio quality overall) to be solid and absent of any glaring issues or I just can't listen. If I find a good tutorial video, like this one, I'll probably hear that voice for 45 minutes, an hour, maybe more as I go over your steps again and again and again, working in the muscle memory etc. Excellent production quality! thankyouthankyouthankyou!!!!!
    I would love to see a deep dive into all of the settings with in the Quality box. Maybe you would be interested in doing that some day? In the mean time, this video is more than enough to get me past an issue I was having in a little experimental project I'm doing.

      haha thank you very much Kelala Music! I also consume tutorials and I know that many creators would make this same video, 20 minutes explaining exactly the same things. 😅

      Most creators are talking while recording the tutorial.

    Thanks for the tutorial, and there's some good information here. One suggestion is to have someone proofread your scripts before you have them recorded by a narrator. Especially if the narrator you hire isn't going to correct even the most obvious errors, which seems to have been the case with this narrator. A lot of narrators offer proofreading and correction for a small additional fee, and doing that is definitely worth the money.
