    Great video its good to see the comparison, I guess at some point the floating docks will need cleaning or barnacle scrapping below the water level

      Yes. They all claim nothing grows but that's BS. Every few years, needs couple hundred dollars of barnacle cleaning guys.

    How would you launch the PWC on the JetDock if you do not have a wall to push off of? I noticed that you did not have to push with your legs against the wall to launch the PWC on the EZ Dock. It is a shame that the configuration for the EZ Dock was not the same size as what you have for the JetDock. You would have had a much better comparison. If you will make your EZ Dock the same width and have space for two watercraft, you will increase the stability of what you have considerably. Launching from the EZ Dock seemed much more effortless than what you had to do with the JetDock.

    • @tanyabarnes792

      yeah but if you had an extension on the side, that jet dock if you noticed is almost 3xs the size of the 2i, so if you had a PWC 280, which 2 of the PWC 280s would be the same size as his double Jet Dock; you would have that amount of room and more to walk around your water craft.

      This JetDock is very old at the time of filming, I think 15+ years old, and the rails are no longer seated properly. The ski slides more easily when in a proper condition.

    The EZ-Dock is nicer looking and you can get it in different sizes so this isn't an apples to apples comparison (size wise). Also you can get the EZ-Dock with cleats to tie it up. The Jet Dock is very nice with the built in winch. I just don't like the black color and I think it's the only color they make it in.

    Now that you've had both for several years what do you like best? It seems like the one with slides and no rollers would really scratch up the bottom of the ski...maybe even cause gouging. Do you ever get big waves? I'm looking at these and trying to decide what's best when you have decent sized waves.

    • @MrElussive
      @MrElussive  2 роки тому +4

      You're being too technical. Neither one scratches the ski as long as you follow procedure I mentioned in the video. As for waves, both systems are best suited for calm waters. Windy waters okay, but if you are getting constant bombardment of waves due to boaters going by fast, you may want to consider an out-of-water system such as a lift, but I really don't like lifts except for long-term storage. If you know the cons of a PWC lift, both systems are excellent. Sorry this is not a sponsored video, I am just giving out information to help people make a decision.

      @@MrElussive thanks for the info man! Greatly appreciated. We typically get waves 2-3 feet on weekends with a lot of boaters out. I wonder if there's something like a EZ dock platform that I can easily drive on/off that I can put my extra boat lift under it to lift the entire dock out of the water....interesting idea. Man I appreciate your feedback...thanks a ton!

    I FINALLY just building my jetdock that ive been piecing together all winter from random cubes for sale. I have mine setup in the exact configuration as yours, two rows up front, two rows on the sides and 3 down the middle . I love how much room it will have . I just have to launch it once I work out how I want to mount it to my main floating dock. BUT my question to you is, how important and necessary are those bunk tubes down the center. I couldnt find those anywhere and now im a little worried it might be a little tippy without them. My skis are FXHO's though so my hulls arent as deep of a V as your GP.

    • @MrElussive
      @MrElussive  3 місяці тому

      You need those man, those allow the ski to slide up and down the ramp. They should be sold direct from JetDock.

      @@MrElussive I HATEEEE dealing with the jetdock people. unless youre buying a new system , their customer service is HORRIBLE. ive done the "chat" on their website a few times already inquiring about a few different things, and not only are they suupper unhelpful but, they just one word answer you and then end the chat on you mid conversation. I just went on again to ask about the bunks and if I need them , and his answer was "i have no idea, our R&D team would have to evaluate your used system and tell you what you need, its 350$ for them to evaluation your system" I said its 350 to just tell me if I need bunks for my skis or not and he hung the chat up . WTF is with these people. Im just installing my new winches this weekend then I should be able to launch the jetdock into the water and try my skis on them . if I do need bunks then Ill have to just make my own out of something bc im not dealing with these jetdock people again. or giving them my money lol.

      @@MrElussive yeaa na, they definitely just have bad customer service. I didnt explain any of the piecing it together because that was irrelevant to my question for them . what I told them was exactly this " Hi, I have one of your double XL PWC jetdocks for 2 skis and ive seen pictures online and some of your pwc docks have bunks and some dont. I have 2 yamaha FXHOs could you tell me if I need bunks for my setup?" a normal business customer service rep would try and be helpful and maybe ask a few follow up questions, not just say idk , you need to pay us $350 for us to tell you that and then ended the chat when I asked him "i need to pay 350 for you to just tell me if I need bunks" no other questions nothing. this is the 3rd or 4th time theyve responded in their chats like this. I think this company could be so much bigger then they are but their website sucks , theres no prices, you have to call or chat just find out simple answers that could be on their website and then their reps are horrible with dealing with their potential customers .

  • @tanyabarnes792

    EZ Dock is the way to go; the durability is amazing; on and off so easily, you don't have to go fast getting on them, a little bit of throttle to get on and the wheels turn and take you on board, you can add and extend and have 10 PWCs and much more. I love EZ dock it's definitely the way to go. You can see in your photo how easy it was to get on and off, and you can add a wench to the 2i as well, I would add that before a rope, you can also add some couplers on the back and sides and tie you PWC down in bad weather or just to secure it. It's not the EZ Dock attracting all that stuff in the water, it is made from Polyethylene, I do believe it's just there in that part of the water, that comment made no sense to me.

      Never bought it online. Remove the winch and take it to your local boat and marine store. They should have a direct replacement in stock, if I remember correctly it is like a PWC trailer winch.

    Good video.
    These are great, but I don’t need a jet ski dock, I need a jet ski barge to pull behind a little 30 foot cabin cruiser….. the barge needs to be 10 and a half feet wide and have place to park two jet skis and be able to tie them down for a long trip….. I want to take my jet skis behind my cabin cruiser on a two year float around the Caribbean and maybe through the great loop……
    Anyone know of anyone making anything like that???
