Any advice on a short term stint? Payments are irregular and only a few months project (don’t plan to continue “freelancing” or have a business” after this. Also , do you use an existing government gateway log in or have to start afresh as self-employed?
Very clear explanation.Liked and subscribed.
Awesome, thank you!
Thanks mate. I think I'll register just after 5th October. Lots of other things to nail down before then. Perfect as I already have a gateway account. Cheers fella
can you explain why after the 6th ?
Thanks for your videos! I'm already subscribe! I move recently to the UK so trying to learn. If I started working as a self employed in October 2021, when should i register? Before April 2022?? :S Thanks in advance
Amazing video, thank you so much.
Glad you liked it!
@@tax2ulimited just don’t pay Tax simple as that. I don’t blame people that do cash in hand jobs. As if I could I would. credit to them all for only accepting cash. that’s the way forward 👌
Thankyou for your help ❤
You're welcome 😊
What if some one in uk just wanna sell the imported goods from other country and its just start and no previous record then how one would get NOC for business imports?

Hello
I already have a gateway account for my full time employment, do I need another separate one for my sole trader business?
Hi . I started to work with Uber eats when I wanted to register as self assessment or self employed there asking me about company name and address which is confusing me and should I put a company name or Uber eats. Thanks
Thanks bro
So I’ve been self employed since January of 2023 and haven’t got around to registering on the site yet. When is the deadline? I’m confused
It’s asking me two IDs driving license and British Passport. I don’t have the British Passport.
I have been sent a UTR from HMRC when i try to log in with my private gateway number it says there is an error. Do i need to set up a new gateway ID for the sole trader business. This is just for my UA-cam income. Thanks in advance
Thanks man
your link doesn't work, bud.
I'm taking on a second job with how things are in the UK now, can you give advise on when you should register for self assessment and what to register as for someone with a second income?

Hello. While working for a Polish company but living in the UK, do I need to register as self-employed in order to file my taxes? I have a residence and work permit here.
Good question, it depends how long you stay in the UK. Your Tax Residence country will change based on how much time you stay in each country. If you spent 183 / yr or more days in the UK in the tax year you will be considered a UK Tax Residence in UK so you will need to register for Self Assessment . www.tax2u.co.uk/utr/utr-number
how should i get my self-employed account letter, anyone can help please
Hello, I work already for a company, I'm going to start my business now, and I want to register as a self employed, but everything is confused, because when I tried to register everything is completely different as your video. I want to get the UTR number I also tried to do the CWF1 form (this last said that I need to sent the form via Mail).
If you have tried to register as Self Employed though the HMRC website and you found it confusing, please try our easy from that we build to help people like you to register as self employed and get thier UTR number, here is the link bit.ly/utr-number
I just became self employed in nov 2022, what should I do? Do I need to pay for this years tax? Or wait for next year?
Hi there, you would need to submit a 2022-2023 SA tax return before 31 Jan 2024. Please email us at info@tax2u.co.uk with your details and we will help you
Hi, I am working as employed and a I want to work in same time as self employed in another job but worries if this affect in my first job, ( more tax) or no? Please.
I read you can be employed and be self employed without having to tell your employer.
I’m in the same boat what did you do ?
You can be empoloyed and self employed at the same time. And as far as, if you would pay more tax... you would probably do, the more income we make , the more Tax HMRC will require to be paid. But most people in the UK get a Personal Allowance of tax-free income. The standard Personal Allowance is £12,570, which is the amount of income you do not have to pay tax on.
:) yes you may have 2 or more jobs as employed and be self employed on the same time, and you will not need to tell your employer as long as you mange time wise to get all jobs done well.
I’m full time employed by a company, but I’ve got an opportunity to work for another company as self employed. How do I start? Do I have to register before I start working?
yes you can start working as self employed even before you apply for your UTR, though it is best to start the application online here bit.ly/utr-number
Hi I am already employed but I have done some extra work and I have earn more then fewK this is my first time. Can you help me. I have worked in 2022 and and still working extra. When do I have to inform and what do I have to do.
thank you.
You would need to send us your all your income details from 6th April 2022 to 5th April 2023 if that is the period you have started to work as Self Employed and based on that we will start the calculation and get back to you to confirm any eligible expense based on your time of work. You can email us at info@tax2u.co.uk and we will guide you step by step.
Do I need to have a separate bank account if I'm self employment
No
That is correct you not have to, though it is a good practice to separate your personal income and expense from your self employed ones. If you need help with your Tax Return email us at info@tax2u.co.uk with your details and we will help you.
its not even a page anymore
If I only buy and sell on eBay for example and only earn £12570 which is the highest amount you can earn before you need to pay tax do I still have to register?
I’m confused a normal job from an employer you get paid 12k a year no tax no NI
Self employed you earn the same but have to register? Even with the 1k trading allowance which would mean I only earn 11k a year
Please help me out
i think you should do the self assessment for revenue u make above 1k, you’ll only need to start paying tax once ur revenue exceeds £12571 but im not too sure about it myself
@@flufdude that’s what I’m confused about if I only make 12570 a year then I shouldn’t have to register as self employed as I’m not pay tax anyway
@@oliversudden9162 i think you need to anyways to declare it and that a record os made set, declaring it after you’ve made £30k lets say makes u liable to some fines and penalties as this money was made before the tax year and was not registered
You definatelly need to register as Self Employed if you earn £12k from SE Income
My account doesn´t show me that...
Can I register self-employed whit only 15-20 hours per week?
Yes you can, there is no min limit on the hours worked, here is the link to register online www.tax2u.co.uk/utr/utr-number
I marked that I have no UTR number. They asked to confirm my identity but I don't have the information they ask for... For example UK passport because I am of another nationality... What can I do?
I have the same problem
Send a copy of your British Visa or Resident Status in your passport and a copy of your Passport. Then send a copy of your driving License.
1. Copy of UK Visa
2.Copy of your Foreign Passport
3.Copy of your Driving License
This needs updating, the website is totally different now
Thank you for your feedback
What if you work for 2 months then stop being self employed?
That is a good question, it does not matter the time period you work , it can even be for 1 day that you work and you may still need to submit your Tax Return to HMRC. The condition that HMRC give is on the amount of income. You must send a tax return if, in the last tax year (6 April to 5 April), any of the following applied:
you were self-employed as a ‘sole trader’ and earned more than £1,000 (before taking off anything you can claim tax relief on)
you were a partner in a business partnership
you had a total taxable income of more than £100,000
you had to pay Capital Gains Tax when you sold or ‘disposed of’ something that increased in value
you had to pay the High Income Child Benefit Charge
@@tax2ulimited understood, thank you!
can we just hire an accountant to do this?
