When you hear Mickey speak about this despicable act that he was a victim of you see how and why he was such a beast inside the ring. It takes inner strength to comeback from such a tragedy. It's odd, perhaps, but the anger goes away with time, as we learn that the guy who molested us, was most certainly raped himself when he was a kid. It's what causes the disruptive thoughts, the, 'Well, I"M okay, so it must be good for boys to be molested by another man' twisted logic that goes through their minds. When you add that, to the lack of any social teaching that boys never get, it makes us so awkward socially that those who now believe that it's a good thing, then instead of pursuing women, turn to young boys for the only source of affection they can get, because they know how THEY were tricked into it, they just perpetuate the same behavior onto another boy. Yes, I wanted to kill my molester from about age 15 through 25, but as I learned more and more about psychology, the anger went away. I suppose that Micky may have come to similar understanding; we won't kill them. But we would want to stop the huge number of child molesting which are still going on. I would forgive the guy who molested me, but he shot himself in the head when he was 50. Why; was it because of what he did, or because of the chronic pain he had to endure from being shot himself? We'll never know.

Oh my god micky was on your show!! He trained at my papas gym the ramalhos west end gym. He fought with my dad and all my uncle's he is such a great guy. The only one in the family who turned out to never touch a drug and follow everyone else. Wow I cant believe he was on shay!! It must of been an amazing experience you guys are so positive and supportive.

As a child victim I know how you feel Micky. I have sons and after my divorce I refused to bring any man into my house so my sons could grow up without being molested / raped. They are worth it - thank you Micky for coming forward and showing people you can get past the pain.
I know this is two years later and I hope your sons are good but boys NEED a man in the house, it doesnt work with just a mom.
I was addicted to heroin, do you know the one thing me and all my using buddies had in common? Only having a mom in the house. If your sons arent enrolled in a big brother program I highly suggest it and get them into nerdy stuff (magic the gathering is pretty cheap and nerdy) because most of the people there will be college bound instead of prison bound

My adopted mom also raised my older brother his father died when my brother was 4 , my brother has no issues other than being to sad to take up drumming again. Same happened to me at the same age. When he asked what happened Micky kinda dogged the question. Most likely because he feels like he should have known better and at the time he didn’t really have a problem with it. I went through the same thing.

Kudos to Micky for having the courage to come forward with this; the few adult men that I told, all treated me almost like it was my fault for being molested. I had to wonder; maybe THEY had abused a child? I couldn't understand why anyone would blame the child. I recovered; I lived a somewhat normal life, and remain on call for boys who come into the crisis center who have been abused (I'm a male nurse).
