A few of our most beloved celebrities. Sadly Michael Parkinson passed away not long back, but he is such a huge household name in the UK. David Attenborough is almost in a league of his own in terms of being adored and respected. Lovely to see them all sharing laughs.

Sir David Attenborough is arguably the world's most popular conservationist. Beloved by millions all over the planet. A man of grace, humour and great knowledge. His poetic narrations draw us into the deepest dives into the natural world. His documentaries are extremely educational. Ideal viewing for adults and children.

Seriously guys, even if you don't do a reaction video on them, do yourselves a favour and watch some of David Attenborough's natural history documentaries. I recommend both of his Planet Earth series and the Blue Planet series, plus so many others. His voice, paired with the breathtaking wildlife and the gobsmacking work of the film crews that capture the images, it's pretty much perfection.

Sir David Attenborough is a national institution(that's a level up from a national treasure). It's almost certain Nick and/or Jodie will recognise his voice from his decades of work with the BBC's natural history unit making iconic nature and wildlife documentary series par excellence, that are shown all over the world. In the UK, David Attenborough's voice is practically synonymous with nature programs, almost to the point that they just don't feel right if they're being narrated by someone else. It will be a nigh on impossible job to find a worthy replacement for him when the inevitable finally happens.

LOL - that "other guy" is Sir David Attenborough and of all those national treasures, he's arguably the only one that remains relevant (long may it be so).
Still loving the Jodie/Nick switcheroo number!
Thanks for keeping us all company in 2023 - Happy New Year xxx

The other guy is David Attenborough. He's quite a consequential figure for television, not just with the monumental natural history programmes he's produced but also by the fact that the commissioned the epic 13 episode series 'Civilisation' presented by Kenneth Clark in the late '60s which became a benchmark series that influenced, among others, Carl Sagan's 'Cosmos'.

Thanks for this and your reaction Guys You have heard of a few select people being "National Treasures" Well this Guy is next level and a British Institution. A quite extraordinary Man..He is the most famous Naturalist in The World and still is at 97 years of age. He is a British broadcaster, biologist, natural historian and author.
"Parkinson" show was on for a very long period in various forms from 1972 to 2014 with his "MasterClass" series. He was famous for hour-long ONE YO ONE interviews. Peter referred to "Rod Hull" who had an act featuring an Emu who, famously, attacked Parkinson, who ended up disheveled on the floor and it was not scripted. Far from it:)

the beauty of parkinson over the years, and his strength, was he let his guest run the show for that short segment, that was his genius, until he met grace jones, her attacked him, he has had the legends on, some names you will know know, muhhamid ali, was on with freddie star, you watched the vincent and the singing with the tapes, great episode,
but michael strength, was to allow the guess to perform, you have seen billy conolly, it was 10 minutes of michael asking a question, billy would go into a story, the guy was a legend, and to be honest we have many in the UK, some passed, some in full flight and some newcomers,

Parky go Billy on at the start of his carear, most people in England did not know him. BILLY told 1 joke that made him famous and loved all over the UK. I am smiling remembering it ,it is on you tube, it was about a man who murded his wife and buried her withe her bum sticking out. Amazing that 1 joke made Billy a house hold name, the D.I.V. O. R. C.E. song followed that it is extreamly funny about his dog.
Billy and Parky were great drinking mates, they had 6 weeks in Auz and somehow survived, ledgends.

Michal Parkinson was the UK equivalent of Johnny Carson but much better. He was a trained journalist and worked in journalism for a number of years before he became a TV host. As such he was really good at interviewing people knowing when to talk and when to shut up and listen. He also did meticulous research on his guests before they appeared and knew which areas to avoid and what he could question them on. Because of this he could get huge numbers of people to be willing to appear on his show and unlike todays talk shows his guests appeared not to plug a new movie, book, TV show etc but to talk about themselves. As was mentioned he had people like Fred Astaire on his show along with people like John Wayne and Orson Wells. Virtually every big name Hollywood Star would have been on the show. An example of how he could allow his guests to be themselves can be seen in the clip of Muhammad Ali and Freddie Star which I very much doubt any other talk show host would allow to have gone uninterrupted ua-cam.com/video/xqr_FtlJEcg/v-deo.html
