Jason, you get to talk to the players and I guess management once in a while? Would you please pass this along. The Pittsburgh clubs will never have the money like New York and LA. No matter where I live, I've always supported Pittsburgh teams because I admire how hard they work to be as good as the goliaths. The pirates are breaking out and it's time for the managers to be the best managers in the MLB and the owner to be the most supportive owner in the MLB. Lastly, the players need to bring their a-game everyday. Team effort means more than ever right now. Attendance is up, so the fans are doing their part. Reward the fans by giving them and outstanding season to remember.
Hayes has a like 400 OPS vs. righties this year. If you PH him in a high leverage situation, with a righty warming in the bullpen, you're going to get a righty against him. Better off just having Tellez face the lefty.
Lance Lynn still has some good things going - all teams have mini batting slumps but for sure they need another bat. I think they want to have Dealy in the minors to ensure they have reasonable third string catcher. Tough to watch Grandal in multiple ways. Thanks for doing what you do.
Yes another wasted effort by the Pirates. Skenes knows he has to be lights out each start and eventually that is a mental toll that a rookie shouldn't have to carry. Who in the clubhouse will step forward and say this isn't good enough and demand better of the team. I am positive that any moves will be marginal at best and will not have any impact in the near future or long term.
Agree 100% on your take of the catching situation. Delay should have been up a long, long time ago. Grandall needs to be DFA'd TODAY!. Oh and has anyone else noted that Taylor has been riding the pine and Palacios moving over to CF. I think the handwriting is on the wall there.
When you have won 9 of the last eleven, and you are facing a division rival, and your freaking ace is on the mound, You continue to play who has a hot bat. It’s Dumb! And it shows you , that nobody is using their brain.
I wish their was somebody in that organization who can talk some sense into the GM and the owner on getting players that can help this team win NOW. It absolutely frustrating seeing this generational talent shove every outing and the offense do NOTHING to support him. I wish the players in the clubhouse would speak out against the GM and Owner. They have the staff to make a deep run into the playoffs.
Jason, starting your podcast off by saying its not a great day just cos the the Pirates lost last night man? Come on. 1 out if 162 an it's gonna be a great day regardless
@@thebourg honestly I expect there to be a move or two but I also expect there to be a couple subtractions cuz it's the only way they're going to make moves to get rid of Chapman or if they get rid of you know someone else.
Idk if you realize this, but hes batting leadoff, not really a spot known for driving in runs. Especially when your 7/8/9 is Hayes/Grandal/Taylor or whoever
@@bnzz58 He has a career OPS of .830. His career OPS with risp is .882. So he improves dramatically with risp. If thats not clutch idk what is. O for 6 is too small a sample size

Dollar Tree Bob not looking to add payroll i guess.
They need a 2 bats and another relief pitcher and they will be contenders for the Wild Card

Hayes and Suwinski for Brent Rooker make it f happen Pirates. A’s are selling, get a power bat 23 hr and .290 and make that wild card push

People need to stop blaming the GM. 100 percent bob nutting is to blame. Pirates will never sniff a World Series with him at owner
If he does, will it really help or be done to LOOK like he's helping?
Why not give Bae or Beer a shot

BRENT ROOKER MAKE IT HAPPEN
Hayes’ energy is bad. Trade him, give him a fresh start elsewhere. I’m so sick of seeing/hearing about his back.
so true, his value is crazy considering his defense. hes in a horrible drought
Hahaha, they were never going to add..
You know the trade deadline is still a week away

Cutch is one of the worst hitting with runners in scoring position. 13 hr's and only 26 rbi's. Never was a clutch hitter with guys on.
