    We eat this too in Togo I think Togo and Ghana has a lot in common in terms of culture and cooking

    In Nigeria especially in yoruba tribe ,we call it Aadun.used in naming ceremony,some traditional wedding's. Thanks for dis recipe.craving for it already

    Omg, I think this is something from my childhood. I am from Guyana 🇬🇾 and my grandfather used to go to the market and buy something looked like this, I was very small and don't know the Guyanese name for this. Tkx for sharing I will try yours.

    You just triggered memories oooo!!! My parents got me dzoowe to put in my chopbox in secondary school and that was the exact story I was told on why I needed it.
    I always get my Tom Brown mix from Ghana because I love it when is fresh from going through the 'gate' 😂

    I so love Alakowa. That was how I knew it when I was young especially when it's hot and a bit spicy. I'll try it now but my problem/downside for me is, if we don't have a coffee grinder, does it means we can't make it to get the smoothness of the dry ingredients? Thanks.

    How did you get the cornmeal flour? I'm not home, and the cornmeal available at the African/Caribbean store where I live doesn't have the tom brown flour texture.

      +Akpene Maxwella This is tricky if you can't get hold of the authentic corn meal. If you at least had the milled dried corn, I'll have advised you roasted it in the oven😥

A little research from these individuals will highlight the similarities and differences in most cultures across the continent. Every tribe has its own method and ways of cooking the same ingredients. They’re happy exhibiting their intolerance for other tribes rather than seek knowledge. 😘😘
