- Authentic AGBELI KAKLO recipe ✔️ YUCA/MANIOC CROQUETTES -Ndudu by Fafa
Agbeli Kaklo or Bankye Krakro as known in the Ewe and Ashanti language respectively is made from grated Cassava and Onion.
The juice of the grated Cassava is extracted (reserve for making starch) and then mixed with the blended Onion and deep fried. In Ghana this is enjoyed with Coconut pieces and as a snack.

Oh really? Nigerians do absolutely enjoy it. In Ibo speaking part of Nigeria where I came from it is called "akara jiakwu" translated as "akara cassava."@@NdudubyFafa

Hey girl love you do great job bringing out our food
Oh very nice cooking
Thank you gorgeous 😘😘
Oh, I think this is what I've been looking for! There are a lot of cassava recipes for various cakes and puddings, and in the end the cassava is a minor ingredient, it's all milk and eggs and sugar. I wanted something more like a potato pancake. Cassava is growing in my yard, so it's an issue! There's a Columbian breakfast thing that's like this, very hard and dense crust, and chewy on the inside. Pan de Yuca? It's good! I think this is the original. This is simple and I don't think I would get tired of it.
You are amazing sis Fafa
You’re incredible ❤️❤️❤️
Nice one God bless you
I love both versions so simple I will try it thanks ... daavi
Thank you for watching and I’ll love to hear your feedback when you try the recipe 😘😘

Great narrative.
Old time Street food , I remembered when Jelly John Rawrins came to power to removed the northern president Leman is different to get a food buy so only cassava is a common food and easy to find and buy so they make cassva in difference ways of food.
Thank you, you made it so simple, now this I can make.. 😂😂😂

Merci pour la recette
Tnx for sharing but plz there's a pastries made with starch in form of atifufui but round, plz I want the name and recipes. Tnx
I think it's yake yaka. Love that. Steamed grated cassava.
That looks too good! Does soaking it overnight help to remove the bitterness? I am trialing out mine but it tastes a little bitter after cooking.
*Furiously taking notes.*
😂😂😘😘
Can the balls be stored in fridge a day before frying?
Where I am there is no fresh cassava can I use frozen cassava
Yes you can, however ensure you extract the moisture from it to prevent it from disintegrating😘😘
Yummy, I love this 😘. Fafa can you do the one that has banana in it pls 😋😘
Do you mean Masa?
In Cameroon it's called banana akara. Mashed ripe banana(not too much) is added to the casava, then formed into balls and fried. It's just sweeter and more filling and eaten with pepper sauce. You'll love it 😜😋
Long time i didnt eating Agbe lool
Well done Fafa, my question is can i fry it in a deep fryer?
Yes you can
U do all fafa. I'm already missing home. God bless you dear 😘

Davi please make me Adidoyo drink from TOGO
Ghana's version of Nigella Lawson.
Is ok if i use cassava flour?
Not for this recipe I’m afraid 😩
What about a coconut chutney
Great idea ❤️❤️
Fans i think this can be a good business if some one makes it like the balls and sell it in markets or shops ,you buy it and fry it urself

Baked version? Now I know that you aren't from planet earth 😀😁😂🤣🤣
😂😂😂 Thank you for watching 😘
It's a new low-cal world. At least she isn't trying to be low-carb! I think some people around here would call this "gluten free"? I don't think there's gluten in cassava.
She’s the best. Fafa I salute you.
Pls stop cooking

TFS it looks appetizing and the recipe is fantastic however I've never heard it being called "BANKYE KAKRO" before by any tribe. I may sound petty but I feel as if the Twi translation was unnecessary and took away from the recipe's origins. I know you use your platform to promote the Ewe language which I admire a lot but I also think there's always a dose of "Twi-overreach" which overshadows our other tribal languages. This snack originated from the #VoltaRegion and was frowned upon/jeered at by the Twis and Gas, just like the "AyigbeBiskit", so can we just call it by the name every tribe has come to accept due to the origin of the recipe, please.
#AGBELI KAKLO- 'Ewe' dialect... (Cassava Croquettes) Thank you.
I do understand how you feel, however this channel is beyond tribalism and division. The languages I speak are a reflection of my inclusive upbringing and I hope you understand my point 😘😘
You're mistaken my dear. Born and raised in Accra I've heard this lovely snack called by both. Some know it by agbeli others know it as bankyi which is the same in translation. I think Fafa did a good job in adding both names to her title
I subscribed cos you're ewe😂
😂😂😂😘
