It is really impressive what Queen was able to achieve in music. Also, yeah, Innuendo really is a hidden gold mine and it was pretty much Freddie's last hoorah before his passing.
Personally i think queen is really overrated sure they have great songs but those are all overplayed. Except maybe its a kind of magic to name one. Queen just really isnt my style but i have to say freddy is a very good singer one of the best. And roger taylor and brian may are also very good
I like Innuendo but it has some of Queens most dull music too, there’s absolute gold like I’m Going Slightly Mad, but then there’s a small minority of the worst ones in there too like Ride The Wild Wind or All Gods People
I absolutely love most queen stuff. A night at the opera will always be my favorite. A masterpiece. Even hot spaces isn't even that bad. Definitely different but not bad :3 every queen album has something special to offer :3 R.I.P Freddie Mercury. You will be missed forever
A night at the opera and a day at the races are both masterpieces, but Jazz will always be my favorite. Fat Bottomed Girls, Bicycle Race, and Dreamers Ball are all brilliant
I haven't heard very many songs off of that album, haven't really focused on mid 1980s and later Queen stuff as much, but I will definitely get the time to listen to more of that at some point.
@@thedeccc3252 Have you listened to it? You really think songs like Father to Son or The Prophet’s Song aren’t prog? That’s literally how they’re listed on every site. What else would you call them
Innuendo is a masterpiece. What Queen is great as for someone who listened to more than just the hits is their ability to make amazing music for all different styles and genres. The entire discography of Queen is a rollercoaster of different sounds.
Bohemian Rhapsody from A Night st the Opera should have been “I went to school with a slice of chocolate cake in my little box and I’d be walking to school going YEAH IT’S IN THERE YEAH YEAH!!!!!!!!!!” because that sing and album was the peak of the band’s success
I always found Innuendo to be an underrated masterpiece of an album & song, so much so that I prefer the song over Bohemian Rhapsody, as good as that song is.
Most of Queen's catalog is great (a couple or so good songs on Hot Space, but I can't remember much else from it, and it can be mostly skipped. I can appreciate the experimentation, but it did not leave much of an impression on me) Pretty much every other album is worth a listen 🤟🏻
At least Iron Maiden paid good awareness and tribute to Freddie through Bruce Dickinson and his friendship with Freddie, Fear is the Key from Fear of the Dark.
Like the Beatles, Queen is also one of those rare bands in which I enjoy every single album they made. But here are 7 songs by them that are, In My Opinion, Filler: Great King Rat The Fairy Feller's Master-Stroke The Prophet’s Song The Millionaire Waltz Get Down, Make Love Who Needs You Dreamer’s Ball
I respectfully disagree with most of these, though I understand where you're coming from. Prophet's Song took me a few listens to really appreciate, same with Millionaire's waltz. Fairy Feller's Master Stroke is a great song in my opinion, I love the fantasy vibe and it's very catchy. Get Down Make Love is bad and is probably the worst track on News of the World.
with Queen there were four perfectionists on stage/studio and perfection came out even when things went wrong on stage. So I don't understand how two ex-Queens can settle for mediocrity.
I’d say my favourite is probably either A Night At The Opera (besides I’m In Love With My Car and Good Company) or A Kind Of Magic, and my least favourites are Hot Space and The Flash Gordon Soundtrack, just never been my favourites, Hot Space is a bit of a mixed bag of decent, bad and good, and Flash Gordon, while I like the atmosphere of film soundtracks, it’s just ok really.
i agree with most of this. just i hate Hot Space. Outside of Under pressure, the albums blows. (Btw A day At The Races=best queen album, in fact, its my favorite album.)
In my opinion Queen was at their best in 1970's, they had their best albums then (My top 5: News of The World, A Night at The Opera, Sheer Heart Attack, Queen, The Game/Queen II (Tie))
I'm not suggesting this, but if you ever did a "Bee Gees albums described by Michael Rosen", you could totally put 0:26 to good use somewhere in there lmao
Album scores based on my enjoyment: Queen: 8/10 Queen II: 9/10 Sheer Heart Attack: 10/10 A Night at the Opera: 10/10 A Day at the Races: 9/10 News of the World: 9/10 Jazz: 9/10 The Game: 10/10 Flash Gordon: 8/10 Hot Space: 8/10 The Works: 9/10 A Kind of Magic: 10/10 The Miracle: 9/10 Innuendo: 10/10 Made in Heaven: 9/10
Suggestions for future "Albums described by Michael Rosen" videos if possible: Beach Boys Rolling Stones Bob Dylan Billy Joel Michael Jackson/Jackson 5/The Jacksons Prince Daft Punk
In my opinion, Sheer Heart Attack is the best album. Though Night at the Opera has some better songs, Sheer Heart Attack is the only one with all really good songs. A Night at the Opera might be my favourite if it didn't have Sweet Lady killing the pace halfway through.
@@ElliYeetYT i'm sorry, how i had forgotten , i don't know what's wrong, i ask in return burn it down by a7x and also do Green day and Limp bizkit's studio album discography but it's only when an f-bomb is dropped

I think Was It All Worth It off The Miracle is Freddie’s last hoorah
Innuendo was my favorite Queen album for 6 years until the Miracle overtook it last year.
impressively bad

I absolutely love how Innuendo is finally getting the praise that it truely deserves.

Queen II is a prog rock masterwork, my personal fav of theirs.
prog rock? pfffffffffffffffffffffffffff hell no
It's a real toss up for me. It's Sheer Heart Attack or Queen II for my top Queen album
Queen II is amazing, The March of the Black Queen is better than Bohemian Rhapsody to me

“This is a big Butt, and this is a bike!” Basically bicycle race.
Thank you for my request 🙏♥️
Amazing video again 😊 R.I.P Freddie 😞 keep up the great work. The show must go on 🤘
It seems like your channel is more oriented towards rock music. Still it would be cool to see a video in this style about the Wu-Tang Clan.
This was really fun, funny and delightful!
Also Made in Heaven was a perfect closing album after Freddie's passing.
Ellli my dude, I’d love to see you do ABBA
I’d love to see Michael’s take on Black Flag’s catalogue.
I’ll certainly think about doing them soon.
Bit of a hint, they are mostly perfect.

Cosmos rock is a collab album. Track 13 in "Made in Heaven" is truly a gem.
Rest in peace the great Freddy Mercury😢
Simply superb.
I like how you had nothing bad to say about any album. Even the miracle was mostly about the album cover, and not the music
I'm trying to get all of Queens albums. So far looking for most of the album's after a day at the races. Rip Freddie We still love you.
Queen II - damn. No words, just damn. One of my most favourite albums.
