I never ate fast food until the late nineties. I just didn't bother and I had a strict mum. Stanley just creases me out with laughter. I only have to look at him and I smile.
...oh my giddy-aunt, those were the days, no expenses spared, no innuendo unavoidable, no correction needed, because no offense was taken, just unbridled, exhilarating, exhausting, exuberating JOY ! ... and, no, I have no children.
Just as astoundingly great as when I first saw the shows in the 70s - thanks so much for uploading these top quality clips!Vbeboy, your mum was right to be jealous!
Stanley Baxter is indeed still alive, and in fine fettle aged 93, @ 2019 (I live in Highgate, North London and often see him walking around the village doing his errands or meeting pals for coffee in the local bistro, he looks wonderful). He was born in 1926 - the same year as the Queen. Many people would agree with you that national treasure Stanley deserves a knighthood. But as he turned down an OBE some years ago, I guess it's doubtful he'd be offered one! Like David Bowie, another great who turned down such honours, he needs no titles to be assured of his place in history as one of the all-time great entertainers. Long live the great Stanley Baxter, king of comedy!
So fantastic. Thanks. Do you have his version of The Towering Inferno, where he seems to be taking off Shirley MacLaine and light a cigarette of the burning building? So funny!
Better than anything dumped on the PCTV screen these days. Life was honest and free.... Why are the dipsticks allowed to dictate and banish talent.?? This guy's brilliant.
I still love and admire Stanley Baxter, but the 'Chinese' section has not aged well. I know it wasn't intended to be offensive, but it looks pretty crass to today's audience.

Today television has been so dumbed down it needs speech therapy
Showcase for Scotland's transvestite-in-chief.
I think Stanley Baxter was one off the best though the tends to spend too much time on that "Drag" stuff
Oh dear. Bigot alert.

I think the Barron Knights' Food For Thought had a similar section to the tune of Pop Muzik!
The audience laughter was too loud, and, actually, too fake.
It is, at no point, funny.
Um....I wouldn't go that far!
