The only people who don’t fail are people who do nothing. Failure is a part of living and growing. If your first hoop coop hadn’t failed you wouldn’t have the fantastic one you have now. I love watching you and your farm grow (warts and all🤣) May you continue to grow and prosper in the new year. Thanks for sharing it all with us!

Morgan, I had health issues in 2022, with a dislocated shoulder and an inguinal hernia and surgery, which impacted many of my goals for the year.
So please, do look after not only the health of your animals but your own health, too, which will allow you to do everything else in your game plan.
It has been very satisfying to watch your progress in building a meaningful farm.

Take stock from this lesson, some injuries could mean the end of your farm. Take it easy out there bud. Don’t go moving something that’s way too heavy and follow form when it comes to shoveling and heaving things. I’d hate to see you have to go through an MRI, bedridden, all that jazz. Keep it up man. I forgot all about your channel and I’m going to subscribe again. Due to political aggression I’ve had to make new accounts more than once.

Well, you had at least one total success! I took the idea of yellow stickies to capture flies and have nearly eliminated all those nasty little flies that inhabit my potting soil. No more 'bargain' soil for me! But if there are still flies, I got this, thanks to you.

Happy New Year Morgan - from Bonnie Scotland. I firmly believe that in a complex and often demanding vocation like running a small-holding there can be no true failures, only (occasionally painful) opportunities to learn how to do things better in the future.

This has been a year of facing fear for me. So many things went sideways, and yet here I sit, today on my 59th birthday, alive and happier than ever. And it's not because I lost 30 lbs, though that was a side benefit from the stress. I was able to handle so much more on my own and without whining about it! So many wonderful, magical things happened just because I had my back up against a wall, and instead chose to look for the good in the situations. Thank you, Morgan, for telling your stories, and setting a great example of perseverance and joyful living in the moment with your wonderful farm animals!! And I just love having your Gold Shaw Farm calendar!!!

I’d like to recommend a film to everyone and to Morgan as well. It was written by, directed by and stars Al Franken. It’s titled: STUART SMALLEY SAVES HIS FAMILY. This film takes some fun jabs at self help. It starts our riotously funny but then it becomes clear that it’s about trying to save family members consumed by addiction fueled insanity. You can love self help and chuckle at it too. Hugs to all.

Morgan, as someone who owns a hobby horse farm and a vet. I will tell you, failure is a part of the process. It is how you pick yourself back up and move on is how the world judges you. It is good to experiment with your farm. It is YOUR farm. You run it how you like it. It took me so long to finally bite the bullet on getting wooden fences rather than wire and pvc. I do have electric running along the top still to prevent escapés (yes Dory inspired).
You are 100% right on the milestone markers being huge. That is working with animals. I hope there is more growth in the next year for Gold Shaw.
Much love to you, Allie, and all your critters.

My greatest fear all my life was the fear of failure, and I had friends in my pastor to pray for me, because I knew God had called me to sing in church, but I was always frayed of failure that I’d forget the words that it just wouldn’t come out right so I know that God healed me I’m able to get up in front of people I’m able to sing not as pretty as I used to sing because I’m 74 now, but yeah, that was my greatest fear was failure but I’m not like that anymore. Praise the Lord and I know you’ll get past it too. Thank you for sharing that that meant a lot to me. God bless you.

Had a car wreck in March of 2022. Hit and run driver. Two surgeries, vehicle totalled, serious crimp on my ability to work. Struggled, worked with my clients around scheduling, most of them were great about, but not all of them. Ready for the Spring season, I learned a lot about myself through a super challenging season.
