I really love this video, Morgan. You not talking, so we just listen to the sounds of the farm; the chickens crowing, the ducks quacking, your footsteps in the snow; the geese trying to take a bath in the small running water. It feels so peaceful. Also, hello to your dogs and cats. They really love you; Toby in his quiet ways, Abby with her boisterousness, and Ginny with her jumping up on your shoulders. It is a beautiful farm life you have there. Thank you for sharing it with us & get well soon.
Honestly I love him talking to us, but something about how beautiful this was hit differently. I'd love for it to be something that happens once every couple months or something... make a farm ASMR playlist or something. Honestly Morgan its okay and taking care of yourself is important so don't worry too much about explaining too much to us. I hope you feel better soon!
@@flautalee3090 Yep, I did not even noticed. Actually one of the other guys I watch has two channels. One, which I watch mostly, mainly silent. The other one for talking.
There are no sick days when you're a farmer. Sorry, you're sick Morgan. 🤒🤧🤮Get well soon. 💕 I actually enjoyed the quiet video, you get to hear the farm noises better. It was relaxing to me. Miss Abigail was a true lady jumping that stream. She didn't want to get her feet wet. 😉
(I mean, it's just plain practical too probably, to not get her paws wet...they might literally freeze if she did. Winter is no time to be jumping around in puddles, really, especially if you live outdoors. 🙂)
Sorry that you're not feeling well Morgan, I hope you heal quickly. While I absolutely adore your commentary, this video was also quite lovely! listening to the natural atmosphere of the farm is so soothing and therapeutic
This was lovely. I couldn’t decide if this is normally how quietly you go about your chores and we just don’t see it, or if you were being especially peaceful so we could hear all the other sounds
This is just a stunning example of farm life in winter. 500 years ago when I was boy 'ehem' I lived on a farm similar to this in Western Canada. The sites, the sounds and even the dogs brought me back. I even remember the smells... is that weird? They can have their office towers and condo buildings and the rush rush of the city, I'd take farm life any day. (probably why I sub to this channel)
A brisk January day, with nothing but the sounds of the wind, animals, and snow to hear. This is a great format for a video, I wouldn't mind one of these every sunday or so just to wind down from the week!
It's funny how animals can sense when your under the weather or just not in the mood, especially dogs! Gotta love how much they dedicate themselves towards owners! Get well soon Morgan! Always a pleasure to watch your videos.
I do love hearing you talk (as your enthusiasm is genuinely a force for good) but I also wanted to say how much I enjoyed sharing this peaceful time. I hope you can include more videos like this for the other seasons! Also I would absolutely have a quack house audio track on as background noise while I work, I adore the noises of the birds as they fuss and squabble. Feel better soon!
Your birds and dogs and farm are all quite beautiful. The snow and serenity of it all is just so peaceful. Your animals are so happy and well cared for that it makes the viewer desire the same circumstances. Your animals are well cared for and your love and commitment to them shows. Keep up the hard work, Morgan. Can't wait to see babies this spring!
Morgan - Yesterday I answered an email from an arborist who plans and supervises the fertilizing, pruning, defending against caterpillars, etc etc for our yard. He works for a company that provides these services in our area. He emailed me to thank me for agreeing to and paying for what he recommends for this year, and asked if there might be some services that he do this winter? The company has worked for us a long long time - over 30 years; I’ve known this man for perhaps 15 or 20 of those years. I’m mentioning this because I couldn’t help but think of you and my your channel, all the people you affect. I appreciate his thoughtful approach because having our small yard be pretty and healthy and inviting to me is very important. Because of everything you show us and your telling us how you conceive of your farm as creating and nurturing an ecosystem at GoldShaw Farm, I realized Morgan - that I were to this similarly I can think of my home and my landscape being an ecosystem. After all, we’ve raised our children here, shared our home for 25 summers with my husband’s parents, cared for pets, planted and grew shrubs and flowers. It’s that whole circle of life stuff Morgan. We’ve created an ecosystem. Thirty years ago I phoned this business to learn if they might be able to help us keep the large elm tree that shades the front of our house alive. People Pets Plants Trees My house is an older one in a of a « circle « of homes built in the mid ‘40’s. I love the way that Abbie and Toby have become great friends. I think that you getting her spade was the correct choice. It is so nice to see the change since winter set in. I love how in the winter when the snow clings to every part of the tree. Its so calming.
After coming home from a long day, the sounds of the farm was very relaxing. I had a farn with Scottish highlands, ducks, geese, turkeys, goats, and a horse, and I miss it. This video refreshed me in a way I haven't felt in a while.
While I'm sorry that you're sick - and I wish you a speedy recovery - this video is perfect. It is very relaxing. I'd even say therapeutic. Absolutely no need to apologize. This is why I come here: to see and hear all the animals. This might be my favorite video yet. {{{HUG}}}
Sorry you are feeling sick Morgan. Be careful. I know you have it handled but I hope you feel better soon. I've been in the hospital for a full week from catching a cold so watch your symptoms so you don't get worse. I rather enjoyed the quiet video today. I could hear the farm sounds so clearly. Nature is a wonderful medicine. It can heal the heart and the soul. Feel better Morgan. Don't apologize for taking care of yourself.🌻💙🌻
Love 💕 your puppies and how they follow your routines. They are so into watching and following you and ABBEY has gotten just wonderful ( at least on this day) with all the the feathered friends on the farm. It is so nice to see how much she has grown. A lot of this maturity is age but a lot is due to your patience. Of course she watches and listens to you but she also is aware of the treatment you give to her brother and the other birds and animals. Animals are VERY aware of that treatment and they put it to memory. Thank you for sharing with us.
I hope you feel better soon Morgan. It's good that you have something to keep you occupied while you are ill. It was nice to follow along with you in silence at the start of the video. It shows us more of what it's like for you day to day working on the farm. I would love to live on a working farm again, because for all the hard physical work it can be, it's also so very rewarding on a day to day basis, I was born on one, you see. God bless you and your loved ones. All the best to you and the farm for 2023!
I love this. I watch all of your videos because I love knowing what's going on at your farm, but I don't usually rewatch them afterwards. This one, I could see myself rewatching when I need to relax. The sound of the animals and the snow and open air are so comforting.
I agree wholeheartedly that making sure you do the chores makes you heal faster. I just do the chores slower. But getting the cold fresh air (NH here) and exercise does help the healing process. And the animals must make you feel blessed and happy.
Morgan, hope you're feeling better really soon. Loved watching the geese bathing. Abbie walking in the snow "then heck no, my paws are cold enough I'll jump over" the moos are looking great too. Loving the outdoor sounds.
This is nice. It feels like I’m there by myself. And as a bonus, it’s winter. The sound in winter and rainy season always sooth me. Get well soon Morgan. Give my Hi to Allison, Toby, Abby, Molly, Pablo, Ginny and all those little friends you have there
My mom had us go outside for fresh air when we were sick (unless we had a fever). I still take her advice as an adult. Chores may be late, but the animals still need to be taken care of. Here in Michigan, we have no snow. It's supposed to rain this afternoon. Crazy weather! Nice video love watching the animals do their thing.
Get well soon! One of my grandfathers had a farm with dozens of employees. The other one was a farm worker. Although I didn’t have a connection to any farm ever, I do have this deep desire to be close to animals and Earth and ground. Just watching you and your farm is very soothing to me.
Video requests (Long or Shorts): (1) A timelapse of the day inside the Hoop Coop from barest dawn to night because I want to see how and what the fowl do in there. Are the fowl already fighting for mates? How do they sleep? Do they clump up into groups of geese and ducks? How far apart are they? I *really* love this video. Never knew just how relaxing and wonderful Vermont Winter Farm Life ASMR would be. I hope you're feeling better by now Morgan! Or are at least on the mend~!
It makes sense that getting a bit of fresh air and sun, and tending to the animals would actually be therapeutic. I've noticed myself that when I have a cold I still fell better for a brief excursion outside, even in winter time. And at least the farm chores are less intensive in the winter time! Actually enjoyed having the quiet video for a change. If you hadn't said anything, I'd have thought this was 100% intentional. I hope you feel better soon!
I've watched many, many of your recent videos and this one stands out as one of my favorites. The silence, the serenity. Beautiful. It also feels like it gives me one of the truest experiences (secondhand, of course) of what it is like to do morning chores. The sounds, the pace, the tempo. Beautiful, Morgan! Hope you feel better soon!
The common cold is nature's way of saying, "Slow down and rest". The flu is nature's way of saying, "Now you REALLY have to slow down and rest". But the biggest factor, in all illnesses, is a positive state of mind. Be well, our friend. Loved the tranquility expressed in the video.
I loved this video. It is so nice to see the geese and spend some time with them. It doesn’t happen very often. Birds are so active and interact with each other which is really interesting to watch. I’m always game to watch them for ages. ❤
I really enjoyed this video. It was actually refreshing to just hear the sounds of the farm. Like the dogs whimpering just before you opened the gate. And all of the birds in the background.
The asmr of all of it! Morgan, I LOVE it. Please make another one like this in summer weather. The dogs yawning, the birds in their little pond. Ahhh. As for being sick, I am so so sorry to hear that. All the warm tea with lemon and honey for you, get well soon! P. S.: the amount of maple water, wow!
This was one my favorite videos to date. ❤ The vibe was similar to the videos about rural life in China. Just natural sounds, the true daily activity just put up to contemplate. ❤❤❤
Loved the video and the Winter beauty of your farm. Toby and Abby have such thick fur coats that this is their favorite time of year. Feel better soon 🤧♥️
Really liked the quiet and beauty of this video.❤ The animals and the landscape speak volumes and show narratives to be not necessary to appreciation of the farm.
I always love your storytelling, your commentary, your display of day-to-day life… but this was such a welcome addition to your regular videos. I’m not sure if the ASMR aspect of the video made me see the farm differently or if I’m actually right, but I felt like I saw many new angles of each setting in this video. I got to see you herding the birds differently than I’ve seen before. Seeing the dogs interact with you without your being focused on speaking to us showed us a vastly different dynamic between them and yourself. You were able to tell a story without “telling” a story: you showed us a story. This was radically different and I loved it. I’m sorry it came at the expense of your being sick, but this was extremely entertaining. Major, super duper kudos to your editor as well if she had a hand in this.
Laying in bed like 11:35 pm I’m watching and catching up on your videos your filling cow water bucket hearing water and seeing the cows I kept dosing off I’ll be dreaming good tonight 😊 I am enjoying this ❤
Get well soon Morgan! Loved the quiet video, really helped me appreciate all the sights and sounds of farm life I also love a pancake with bacon and egg and maple so when can I come for breakfast?
Wow, this video is beautiful. Sorry you’re not feeling well but I’m loving seeing how the dogs are feeling your energy by just quietly following you. Feel better soon!
This was such a relaxing video!! All the little sounds of your chores, running water, all the goings on of the animals.. 😊 Sorry to hear you’re sick, get better soon!
This was actually one of my favorite videos of yours. Not because I don’t like your usual stuff, but more that it has a certain relaxing and wholesome quality to it. Greetings from Germany!
Just like a mom, getting things done when sick. I liked the silent movie today. Watching the duck in the pond drainage was fun. Take care and get well.
Love the sounds of the farm but I enjoy listening to you speak also. I can appreciate having to do chores even if your sick. Reminds of motherhood. No matter how sick you are you still have to get up and feed the baby, get breakfast for the older ones, clean up just a bit, get something out for dinner, feed baby, play with older ones, feed !unch, etc., etc., praying to get thru til nap time. Television becomes the great baby sitter. I remember those days well.
I think this 90% no talking video was so much better! Unless it’s something really important to be said or explained, it’s much more enjoyable just to watch you go about your chores! Hope you feel better! 😃👍🏽
Wow, Morgan! This was one of the best videos on your channel! I was immersed in the farm sounds in the beggining, and it was awesome to hear it the way you do every day. The beauty of farm life became so evident in this video and shows how much your channel can still grow and give us different, even poetic content. I'm looking forward for more uploads like this, I've been following your farm for years now and it gives me great pleasure to see it slowly grow video after video, week after week. Hope your feeling better now! Congrats on the great work from a brazilian longtime fan!
It is pretty relaxing just hearing minimum talking and more the natural sounds of the farm from time to time. I would not mind if you did more this style once or twice a month. Hope you get to feeling well soon and stay warm.
Loved that silent part. Reminds me of my chidlhood days when we still had real winters and I had the time to just stroll around in the silent winter landscape. Apart from that, get well soon and till that, dont overdo anything.
I really love this video, Morgan. While I enjoy Morgan's stories tremendously, a farm sounds video once in awhile is quite enjoyable too . 😃
Before I read you comment I was going to say Thank you for not talking so much .. lol I am sorry to hear the reason why
I was just thinking this! Once in a while I just like to watch and not have to listen! Thank you Morgan!

I agree I’m feeling this video too! Makes me miss the farm life as a boy!
Loved that "Natural sounds of the farm" format. It had a true "Zen" feeling to it. Get well soon :)
Amazing how different your setup is now compared to when you were pulling sledges of water to the birds a few years ago.
The "silent" video was great. Really could hear the sounds of the animals. Love to hear your comments of course :)
I agree!! This was absolutely amazing.
Your ecosystem is narrating your story today.❤

Laying in bed like 11:35 pm I’m watching and catching up on your videos your filling cow water bucket hearing water and seeing the cows I kept dosing off I’ll be dreaming good tonight 😊 I am enjoying this ❤
Get well soon Morgan! Loved the quiet video, really helped me appreciate all the sights and sounds of farm life I also love a pancake with bacon and egg and maple so when can I come for breakfast?
no need to apologize about the silence, the video was super calming and nice.
I liked the silent portion of the video, it was a nice change of pace.
This was an absolute pleasure to watch. Thanks Morgan!
Look at the dogs on how amazing they are doing around the birds. Good job.
Wow, this video is beautiful. Sorry you’re not feeling well but I’m loving seeing how the dogs are feeling your energy by just quietly following you. Feel better soon!
I really enjoyed the bird noises, crunching the snow, puzzled looks on the puppies and u just doing ur thing😬
Hope you feel better, Morgan! I loved the quiet video, it's almost an ASMR farm video 🥰
Hope You Feel
Better Soon Morgan🤒
Thanks for The Video
Much ♥️Love♥️ &
God🙏 Bless🙏 Yall🥰😘
lol "typical man cold". Thank you for being you!
I'm so sorry that you're not feeling well, Morgan. Please take care and be better soon.
Abby being super chill with a goose flying by.... If you are beaming with pride, you absolutely deserve it.
Feel better, Morgan! I liked the quiet video. Glad your wife is a nurse.
This was lovely just to focus on the visual beauty of farm life. Living in NYC, I appreciate it - feel better soon.
That was pleasant. It was like the grey sky and snow needed the silence to get through to my soul. Thanks
Sorry you’re not feeling well. Get well soon. Enjoyed the video the quiet was peaceful. What a great life you have.
