DM is perfect for a new dad , I can get my Valorant fix in 10 minutes and leave at any moment in case something comes up.. Plus at the very least I can memorize the maps, common angles, and clean up my aim so when I do get the opportunity to play a full game, I won't be a total space cadet at the game.

i had the same issue before, based on my experience your crosshair placement isnt good enough and you rely on movement to correct your aim. In a match players hold and prefire angles so you dont get to do the same running around. I would suggest trying to hold an angle without moving, practice actually holding a common angle where fights can happen in game. hope it helps :)

I think DM will help with reaction time. Casual games help players into what you need to learn about the gameplay, map design, angles, guns, etc. Spike rush helps you understand how the characters you play work.
Honestly, the idea of expanding you knowledge by using casual matches are very beneficial to ranked or professional matches. People need to understand the game before they play comp, which is why the 20 casual games is set there for new accounts and newcomers. I think people should play more casuals just for the learning alone. Playing DM then ranked is not going to help you in the long run of things.
I will say, holding angles like you said is very beneficial in DM. But some people (like myself) just want to run around shooting people just to have fun, so they get tilted when someone they know is just "camping the corner" and die to them.
All in all, great video and thank you for the knowledge you have shared with us today!

I remember when it used to be 20 matches to unlock ranked, now it's lvl 20 which took weeks for me because I would rarely get more than 1 lvl a day, if that due to how little I would play, it was also the reason I never really played DM or spike rush or sny other stuff before lvl 20 because it would decrease the amount of XP I was getting

I was thinking exactly of this method 3-4 days ago. I even thought of practicing without sound so it would become more of an aim based scenario rather than sound+aim. This would force us to check every corner while entering a site. As a player if you hear footsteps you'll be pre aiming that corner but this way you will pre aiming every corner.

This is very true, not only for improvement purposes, but if you're not careful you can develop really bad habits in your gunplay and the way you peek angles that will hurt you in the long run. I personally use it to warm up, and to work on crosshair placement and proper angle peeking, because I noticed thats a weakness of mine, but I also get tilted when my aim drill is ruined by a guy shooting me in the back xD so I have to find a good balance

As someone who’s first FPS game was valorant, I was incredibly surprised by the death match system in CSGO, compared to valorants. Counter Strike did it much better.
Edit: love your videos, keep going!

One thing I do during every DM is use a weapon other than vandal/phantom during the warmup period. I've developed a lot of muscle memory on OP movement just from using it during warmup and then switching to Vandal when the game actually begins. All the little amounts of practice builds up eventually

Hi i know it's late, but what you sayin is true, i improve a lot on sheriff bcs always use that when doing deathmatch warmup

  •  3 роки тому +4

I wish there is more options for deathmatch like Vandal, Phantom, Sheriff and Jett Ult Deathmatch or in short, 1 gun only for everyone in every deathmatch since I don’t like deathmatch that much, everyone is just targeting to win and a ton of try hards. I just want to warm up.

Will definitely try this! Since we don't have other custom gameplay like csgo our training methods get limited. Custom retake and 1v1 servers/maps could be so beneficial to the community.

i like death match in theory, but in practice i find it super frustrating getting killed from behind over and over. it doesn’t really feel like i’m improving my aim it just feels like i get lucky whenever i get kills.

for a future update they should allow you to settup dummies to practice clearing and stuff like what rocket league does. it would also be cool if you could copy your movement into the dummy too, like if you want to practice shooting someone strafing you can hit a button, strafe a bit, hit the button again and the dummy will repeat that movement

Love this perspective. Also, I saw this other tip in another video where you could listen to music whilst roaming around for kills as it trains you to rely on the visual aspect and not on audio cues. You'll still get shot from behind though, but this definitely helped me.
