The Bestop Supertop Soft Bed Topper is specially designed to provide a cost-effective way to protect the contents of the truck bed. It features a heavy-duty soft top with removable panels. The soft top and panels are made from Black Diamond fabric that features UV resistance and is highly resistant to mildew. The sealed seams will also protect your cargo from the elements. Additionally, the frame pieces are made from high-grade aluminum for excellent strength and durability. The Supertop is easy to install and the frame components clamp onto the truck. AmericanTrucks Ford what is the 2 straps with little plastic flat peice in front hanging, you slid in bar but there just hanging?? And does the Stowe straps just in end sits outside the truck n other in until you Stowe?
Anyone else plan to drill the light before the canvas is installed, I will slip off and punch a hole in it 😂😂😂
Could make for a decent little camper. Easy enough to fold down/remove for my daily use, with a potentially better material offered in some truck bed tents.
Thanks for the installation video. That's going to be so useful. After watching someone do it, it doesn't seem too difficult. Just a lot of steps.
soft top is a huge plus if you got a 5th wheel or gooseneck hitch in the bed.
BEAUTIFUL FORD F150 FORD BUILT EXTREMELY EXTREMELY TOUGH
Love mine ,works awesome easy to put on when the weather is warm.or you can put it on in a warm garage .
I installed mine on cold November day, and it was pretty hard to get everything zipped up but it did work. Tried heating it up next to the wood stove--didn't help. Not sure how easy it will be take down and put back up during the cold months.
question, for that back bar / window. Can one easily take that down and leave the back open for a mtb tailgate pad + hauling bikes?
Nice, gonna grab one of these for some quick camping trips this fall
We'll get you hooked up whenever the time is right! Thanks for watching! -Zach
@@americantrucks i have a 98 f150 extended cab with the 6'5 bed. Its the same generation body and an 04. Will this fit???
@@brandonj.3328 98 and 04 are different generations. If you have an 04-21 most bed accessories should fit. But with a 03 or older you will need to look at other options geared towards those older trucks. Since 04 they've been keeping many chassis and bed related things fairly similar across the generations. But with an 03 you should look more at 7th through 10th generation upgrades.
I had this on my ranger. I loved it.
are you able to drive high speeds with it convertible style?
@@BeardGuyJustin I don’t have that truck anymore but honestly i only ever took the windows out. I never folded it down.
@@BeardGuyJustin I have drove high speeds with the windows out though.
You should show how it works
I wish they had screens
Will this fit 2018 F350 with the shorter bed. Super cab model.
Do they make a Best top topper for the 2013 chevy silverado 2500HD 6.6L LML Duramax with the 6.6 foot bed?
Can that one fit a 2002 Ford F-150 xl 4.2 v6 short bed
Can you put a try cycle under the topper
Did I miss the part about the Third stop connection
Just got mine and first it look cool until I notice my side panel was coming off both sides. I reconnected them again and still falls off just by little pressure. Hmm I may have to call best top or return it.
What about the wiring of the light
What about the 3rd brake light, what about the electrical
There’s a wire running down one of the sides if you wanted to hook it up. If not, not all states require a visible 3rd brake light and also not many cops would stop you for it.
Pretty sure you installed that rear tailgate bar backwards
is there a video about the mods to this blue extended cab? I have the 2019 version and want a similar look
American Trucks would this fold down with a decked truck bed box in the bed???
Is it ok in 2022 navara pro 4x???
From a Jeeper these things are easier to install if you leave them out in the sun for a few hours.
Does the Topper window behind the truck cab zip as well, so you can have access to the cab?
No
What wheel and tires are on this truck.?
It took me probably 1 hour to do it all, I’d give it a 1/3 wrenches
Looking for this but for a Ram 1500 crew cab
Me too
Save your money you'll be junking those Rams after 50,000 miles
How do you connect the third brake light?
We recommend extending the wires down to one of the tail light harnesses.
Good video but the music is annoying as hell..Not sure why people think they need music for an instructional video anyway.. Just distracts from it.
I like turtles
Can this be worked around a toolbox ?
Not if it’s the “decked” style one that goes on top of your bed rails. If it’s just a regular tool box you’re talking about, i don’t see why not.
The rear bar that runs across the tailgate is installed incorrectly.
Hides third brake light??
Comes with a 3rd light
Does this have any load bearing capacity? Need to carry a kayak
nope
How much?
Currently pricing is $814.99! -Zach

What tires are on that truck?
Mickey Thompson MTZ's! Check them out at the following link! -Zach

While I don't own this top, Bestop is the leader in soft tops for Jeep Wranglers and having owned several Wranglers, fighting to get everything zipped and buttoned down is very normal and will get easier as the top gets a little older. There tops are very good and would have no problem owning this one....
I'm a Jeep guy personally, so I know first-hand that Bestop's quality is second to none! A little bit of zipper-lube or WD40 goes a long way too! -Zach
What would anyone want to put a hole on your nice bed truck, when you can just buy a top shell canopy without need drilled to the bed just using a clamp 🗜 and easy to install them, no need tapes, or drill, glue etc.
No holes were made on that bed, i don't know what you have been watching.
I see two things the consumer has to do that could easily be a mistake. Cutting the slots with the knife and drilling the holes with the top installed already.
These two things should be done at the factory. The knife could easily slip, or the drill bit could also punch a hole. Then what? Take it all apart and send it back? Caulk it?
very poor installation left for us!
Not liking the easy chance of that happening at all!
Seems like way too much work. I like the look but a hard shell might be more practical. Just my opinion.
I was thinking the same thing, but, with all that work, you can easily collapse it to have a full bed, or a soft shell camper. With a hard shell it would either be permanent or too heavy to take off every time you use it.
This looks ridiculously confusing to install
This seems ridiculous
