The Guilt test said so much about our perception of action, butterfly effect, and how we take them. For me, the Prince was never guilty, neither the bull. The primary guilt was on Celestine, Second on the king. Celestine never said to the Prince that she never liked him, so the prince didnt even know that. Despite the King´s decision, celestine didnt choose by herself, but she had a choice? I said yes. Whatever choice she could make, could have been better than run without saying a word to the prince.
with the objective reasoning though, the bull is the one who did kill her, but i do agree if every detail is said and there isn't any assumptions of anything different, she should've told the king the truth rather than just no. The king could've listened to his daughter. I personally think Celestine is guilty for the cause of her death as she could've stopped running and saw the sign, but the bull is guilty for the effect of her death. If that makes sense
I totally agree with your kind of reasoning, and that's why I love The Guilt Test. Everyone has a level of guilt in that story, but i think the bull is the less one. Cuz he was just on his "natural habitat" and a sign said it's was dangerous to trespassing. So if you think in this way, we could said it's almost likely when we kill a Fly: If a fly enters our room and we killed it. Does the Fly have the guilt of being killed, because she trespass our room; Or the guilt it's on us, because she enter on our personal space? PD: Sry for bad english XD @@lugatina
