Todd Blanche asked Michael Cohen if they ever met? And then asks how could you make such negative statement about me in the media? The response from Michael Cohen should have been very direct and simple: Just like you, I have represented Trump and I know that I was not a good person when I was representing a despicable character like Trump.
The first question on cross was NOT about Trump. It was about the defense attorney asking if Cohen said something derogatory about him.

Because Michael Cohen is a liar. There's no evidence that Trump was involved. His mad that Trump didn't take him to the white house.
I can tell you exactly what Cohen pled guilty to (he chose not to go through a trial) . Five counts of willful tax evasion; one count of making false statements to a bank; one count of causing an unlawful campaign contribution; and one count of making an excessive campaign contribution. No one put a gun to his head and forced to commit these crimes he committed them on his own accord.
I keep wondering the same thing. Seems like a no brainer.

The biggest crimes he went to prison for were tax evasion from 4 million he failed to pay taxes on stemming from a taxi company he owned. Also he lied under oath. He was unlikely to get jail time just for the payments alone.
