Castrol lanceert Nexcel oliecartridge

Negentig seconden volstaan voor een complete oliewissel, zo claimt oliemaatschappij Castrol met de introductie van diens Nexcel. Deze cartridge bevat zowel de olie als het filter. De eerste applicatie is in de Aston Martin Vulcan, een sportmodel voor circuitgebruik. Auto's met dit systeem voor straatgebruik zullen binnen vijf jaar in productie gaan.

I bet that these cartridges will be much more expensive than regular oil changes, and when the oil level drops, rather than refill it, you will need to replace the cartridge, and they will introduce protection against cheaper substitutes.

in another video about this stuff, this chief engineer has mentioned that it'll cost more or less the same as regular oil change....but i doubt it too :D

Well Mr. Lube is not going to like that!!! I can see $500.00 oil change, and if you get a car that burn's any amount of oil u can't top it up!!! with out changing the cell!!!

lightspeed1949 if your car burns oil you failed at maintenance but yeah only way I see this to be good is in race cars like LeMans F1 NASCAR Baja 1000 Rally for high revving high temp conditions that are basically destroying the oils ability to protect

+tobias rooney I think his point is that the future (almost the present now) is a car that doesn't need any oil change doesn't matter if its a tesla or nissan leaf. This should have been done years ago when electric cars weren't in the map...

How do you make ALL OF OIL back into canister ?
