  • In this video i explain you five hidden features of the KTM Duke or an RC .
These features were discovered by me in my course of ownership.
    The features are
    1. Crash safety- ECU kills the engine when it detects a crash and you can only restart after turning the ignition key off and on
2.OBD(On Board Diagnostics)- There is an OBD-2 port under the rear pillion with which you can use your android phone and an ELM327 Adapter to read various ECU data
you can buy the adapter here amzn.to/2k3aY79
    (play.google.co...)
3.Headlamps turn on automatically when you push the bike to about 5kmph even when the engine is off.
4.Rear mudguard mount is designed in such a way that it is easy to rotate it out of the way when you are removing the rear wheel.
    Paddock stand DIY video

    5. Handguards are present on the duke to prevent the barks from hitting you when you go offroading.

I rode a Duke 200 for 2 years, but didn't know any of these cool features.
The lights coming on when the bike is manually rolled, is a superb feature.
Even the dealership never informed us about it.
    Amazing video. Thanks !

Wow! Blown away by your revelations about the hidden features - especially the tilt angle cut-out and the lights. I am going to try these out on my Duke 390 first thing tomorrow.

The hand guards also protect your brake lever from getting applied when you hit trees or branches. It happened to me once in the city from some small tree branches on the divider/median. It completely jammed my front brake but luckily I was at a very low speed, so no harm done. I realized the need for hand guards from then but they'd look really out of place on a Harley even I can find a pair.

Its just that two of the previous people i talked to didn't have a clue about it. Anyway when you use just the 4 pins does it show you error codes? That's the most important for troubleshooting.

mud guard might be standard item on the Duke in India but not in Europe/US and Latin-America. Hand guard either. EU models doesn't even have light switch. Always ON. After some seconds of the engine is started switches on the headlight, before that only the small indicator is on.
