Happy New Year! Still amazed that BNSF simply never repaints their locos, but I guess it doesn't really matter, and keeps the railfanning a tad more interesting :)
Happy New Year brenrob7403! No kidding, some of them look really ragged! BNSF is the only class 1 railroad that didn't paint any locomotives in a heritage scheme, they opted for stickers on a locomotive instead😄😄! Thanks for watching my friend!
Another great video Dave and man appreciate you getting out there every day in that cold weather you and your dog and bring us a video to watch so thank you brother but as always you stay safe out there and watch your back and we’ll see you on the next one
Thank you Timmy, I really appreciate it! The cold isn't too bad, at least right now, as long as you dress properly and my dog doesn't care, she just loves going out for a walk! Thanks for watching my friend!
Awesome video Dave nice power move. The crows next to the Bald Eagles sure put into perspective how large the Bald Eagles really are. Thanks again for all your hard work I know editing can be a bit time consuming. Have a great weekend.
Thank you Tucker! It sure does, doesn't it! Notice that when the Eagle is feeding, the crows wait, they don't feed until the Eagle leaves! You're very welcome, it's something I enjoy doing and sharing with others! You have a great one too, and thanks for watching my friend!
Thank you WH_Railfan84 ! I bet that H-1 leader has some miles under her, those Dash 9s were built in 96/97! You have a great day too and thanks for watching my friend!
Thank you Bruce! Kiona's a great little girl and loves chasing trains with me. I miss Sissy but she had a great 15 years! Thanks for watching my friend!
No doubt! It was a power move, they had too many locomotives at one location and they are moving them to where they are needed. Thanks for watching my friend!
Thank you Angela! I apologize for being so late in replying I just somehow missed it. Glad you liked the eagle and ravens Angela, and thanks for watching my friend!
You are welcome Lanang! It means Dragging Equipment Detector. If you look, at 02:53, right in front of the locomotive, in between the tracks and on each side, are paddles. If there is something dragging on the train, when it hits the paddles, it knocks them over which trips the detector and the detector broadcast over the trains radio telling them they have dragging equipment and which axle the dragging equipment is near. This way the engineer can stop the train and they can remedy the issue! Hope you have a safe and healthy 2025 too, and thanks for watching my friend!
Good evening, im a conductor for BNSF and I believe I saw you this morning around 08:40 I was on the Z train through Libby with your dog waved at ya as we passed by I’d love to get the photos or video of my train
Hi HarrisonSadler-o6o, I will be posting the video of your Z train in one of my up coming videos, or If you want to give me your email address, I can send you a copy of the Z train video. Thanks for watching my friend!
Only two of the locomotives were operating, the rest were along for the ride. When there is an excess of locomotives at a terminal and another terminal needs more locomotives, they do what is called a "power move", where they move the excess locos to another terminal by placing them in with a freight instead of running them light. Thanks for watching my friend!
Love the grain trains & EMDs

Wait what??? The first train had a total of 11 locomotives, 9 in front and 2 in the back, for just 52 wagons. Wasn't that overkill???
