I’m interested in hearing how the faux leather works out. I’ve not sewn with it. I must say that the color you are wearing is lovely on you. Thanks for sharing your plans.
That Minerva faux fur fabric looks fab - looking forward to seeing the hooded scarf! The only issue I've had when working with faux fur is how much is sheds when you cut into it - nothing that a little vacuuming can't handle though 🤣
Loved the thinking behind your make plans. I am jumping on the hoodie scarf idea and re-purposing a stack that I don’t wear into the make to have a few options. Now all I have to do is sew the hoodie and attach the scarf. Thank you so much for sharing!
Thanks for sharing. I really like that Hazel shirt. That neckline will frame your face nicely and gives the shirt plenty of options to either dress up or down. Once the chambray one is made, I suspect you will need a white one, too 😊.
I saw that Lucky brand label at JoAnn a few days ago, and I wondered about it, too. I'm not knowledgable about the fabric weights, but I can imagine you might be right. I really appreciate your thoughtful videos. I am new to sewing beyond straight lined curtain panels!
I wear shorts over tights/leggings all winter, either shorts that do look a bit skirt-like, to longer (Bermuda) denim shorts or short shorts hidden under a short dress or long tunic. It's comfortable, easy and adds pockets!
Also, a game changer for me has been adding bike shorts to the inside of existing skirts to make them skorts. I'm apt to grab those in the winter a lot more often. If the skirt ha a fly, just leave that part of the crotch seem unsewn but finish the edges. I still put them over tights in the winter, but they're great for extra modesty in the summer, especially if I have to crawl around, climb ladders, cleaning, etc!
I made the same version of flint shorts in houndstooth as winter shorts this year. I think you’re going to be happy with your leather ones. Interestingly, I disliked my flint pants too. The shorts are fantastic though.
Love the top you are wearing- good color and looks cozy/ warm. Love the idea of hooded scarf with pockets. I just recently got pattern for scarf only with pockets that I want to make for any season when I am wearing something without pockets! I feel awkward when I can’t put my hands in pockets 😳 Looking forward to your new makes!
I love the pants version if your shorts! Dang! I think that is such a simple and chic outfit... Do uou have a maxi skirt that maybe you would like bettwr that would give a similar silhouette??
Hi Sara, I brought some heavyweight " Lucky " brand denim at Joann to make a pair of jeans. Not sure if it's the same denim used for the RTW Lucky brand or not. It does seem like regular denim. I wonder if the company who makes RTW would allow Joann to use their brand without really being Lucky brand denim?🤔 Great plans, BTW. 🙂
maybe i am cynical but i definitely think that Lucky would sell the rights to their name without having to actually produce any fabric. but what do i know? i'm just guessing.
Hi Sarah, I watch all your videos and they are simply great. I enjoyed your pattern choices but I have two questions: 1. Did you make that amazing blazer behind you in the video? 2. If so, what is the pattern?
Hooded scarf makes so much sense ❤
A scarf with a hood! 😊
It’s always good to wear the things you don’t reach for to discover the why behind it.
absolutely!

yeah i hope that it goes well. i'm sure i will do some test samples before plunging in. thanks!

yeah i'm a bit nervous about that. i guess i'll find out soon enough!

Great plans!! That stretchy denim looks amazing. Can’t wait to see all of these made up!
Thanks so much!
I love the merino tanks under blouses idea!
Me too!! i hope it works out

good call! that is very possible.😉
I love the top patterns you've found. I like knit tops, but I have been wanting "beyond basic" tops. Thank you for sharing.
yeah i've made so many long sleeve tees i feel like i have the basics covered.

pockets are everything! i can't wait to try it out for myself.

With heavy tights the shorts will be great!!!
i think so too!
I used to work at Joann and they DID just throw the Lucky brand on some fabrics they were already carrying. Maybe added a few new ones.
ahh, i knew it! thanks for sharing.

thank you for letting me know! i'm even more excited to try them now.

i guess i never thought i needed a scarf with pockets because my coats always have pockets. hope you enjoy your scarf!
@@knottygnome Actually, I was thinking beyond coats and “winter wear.”

i do have some maxi skirts. i never could figure out exactly what it was that i didn't like about those pants. and now i don't have them anymore.
You look so cute today 😊❤
thank you, Karol ❤

thank you so much! yes i did make the blazer. it's a butterick pattern--the link is in the description box right under OOTD info.
@@knottygnome thank you for replying!!! I actually have that pattern, but yours is the best that I’ve seen. Enjoy your weekend….
