- I remastered/remixed it from the tapes myself because the original master could be so much better (in my opinion). Enjoy!
I cut almost all of the reverb, brought out the piano, added some twang to the bass, boosted the high end, and left in some extra bits at the beginning and the end. Overall, I went for maximum clarity and expansion of the sound stage. Open to feedback, I'm still learning how to mix and master, but I've reached the point where it satisfies my ear.
All done in Ableton Live 11 with stock tools.

at my seventh grade recital, me and friends played free bird after a lot of practice, me, who played the piano, got many compliments, as most of the people thought that the piano only played at the beginning. it was definitely a good thing we noticed how the piano continued to play during the original version on vinyl record lol

Incredible job of pulling the piano out, and Ronnie's double voice is more pronounced. I definitely like the more spirited bass sound!! Personally, I think Gary's slide part is a little too muffled, but this is an amazing remix!!
I don't know what someone did with the Knebworth Concert in 76', but that sounded the best I have ever heard these Southern Gentlemen and Women Sound.

Excellent remix. Really pulled out the essence of the song. My only carp would be taking out the high-hat/cymbals during the build up to, and in, the second 'climax' (where the C gets bent up to D and picks the F etc), the cymbals seem to force Allen's guitar on throughout that stage. Nit pick over, but as I said, an excellent remix

the remaster is really good and the quality is very high but personally I think that the reduced reverb is a bit too much, try putting just a bit since it kinda feels hollow at times like the instruments are not that punchy specially the guitars
I agree. It's a very good attempt, but the original sound is what I grew up with and any attempt to change the way it sounds (other than improving the audio quality) won't be as good.

How is this possible? This sounds like a remix and a remaster WTF Speed is off from the analog original mix. It does not stay In Sync with the original. The whole feel of it's ruined without the organ at the beginning. Subjective. Are random people getting the individual tracks?
