My 19yr son is gay, he came out to his dad and I one week before he turned 14, nothing changed..hes still the same kid he's always been. Ever since I was a kid I never understood those who find homosexuality "gross" or "sinful" but causing suffering to another for something they can't help ISN'T grosser or MORE sinful?? It's the same with racists. It's something my mind will never be able to wrap itself around.

      @nb7560 Рік тому +6

      Finding homosexuality gross is not something you can control. What is wrong is acting in a way which hurts homosexuals rights or which discriminates against them. But condemning someone for what they naturally find unattractive or gross is no better than those condemning gay people for naturally liking the same sex. It is not something which can be controlled is what i am saying. You can find it gross and still notice that we are all different and all have a right to love and be with who we want

    • @chrisgomez860
      @chrisgomez860 Рік тому +7

      @@nb7560 I understand that, but what I DON'T understand is people who "find it gross" but DON'T find hurting others for a feature of themselves they were born with NOT gross. Like a person can find something Gross, but if they don't think someone getting set on fire for their sexuality or skin color is gross or grosser, I can't understand that mind set. The absolute insane thing is, and this is coming from someone that knows his ENTIRE catalog of work by heart, this actually might be the worst song on the album. It’s an absolutely AMAZING piece of art-I love everything about it. But that album, and most of his second album (and EP only releases/live performances/covers), are masterpieces.
    I don’t think the public understands his talent-I honestly believe he won’t achieve the recognition, appreciation, and respect that he deserves, until after he’s dead. He might be one of the greatest songwriters in the history of recorded music.
    I understand that this may come off as hyperbolic, but from a literary standpoint alone, I can’t think of a single author or poet in the last 50-75 years that’s as talented or affecting.
    This man should be ubiquitous in popular culture, and deserves to be revered as the singular icon of a recording artist that he is.

    As a straight, cis man, I remind myself of the Niemoller quote. It goes like this:
    "First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out-because I was not a socialist. Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out-because I was not a trade unionist. Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out-because I was not a Jew."
    Even if you don't identify with certain groups, the people that will persecute them will find a reason to persecute you as well. I've always seen the LGBTQ community as the canary in the coal mine. Anyone that goes after them will find a reason to expand their crusade. Their very identity is a need to punish.

    Help me out y'all - I watched this video last night ( I've watched it a lot actually) and today I noticed an effect of like signal interference, flashing bars across the screen every few seconds. Is it just me or is this new? I checked all my cords and ports etc, dipped into some of the other compilation videos, nothing. Is this strobe-like effect new or am I just getting senile?

    • @WonderMommaOG

      Hi there, if you notice these flashing bars across the screen during times when it switches from one reactor to another, those are just transition effects that I put into the video. The one used in this video is called "glitch". I have since started using a little less dramatic transition effects if any at all, as you are not the first to think there's something wrong on your end. 🤣

    It irritates me, as a gay man, when people say that we choose being gay. That its a lifestyle. That we are in control of who we fall in love with or are attracted to.
    Sexual orientation is innate, something you're born with and it's there from the very beginning, even as newborns, but it's only discovered during puberty.
    Its not a choice; who would choose to be a target and possibly an outcast from your family and friends and by society? If it was so easy to choose what you were attracted to everyone would choose that which would make you fit in. We're social animals, us humans, and we need to belong. To actively choose to not fit in goes against our very nature.

    Beautiful song. "I'll tell you my sins so you can sharpen your knife." That line hurts. As a Christian and a sinner, I'm against anything that God is against, but gay people are no more guilty than I am or the men who drug the young man to the fire. Our sins are different to us but God sees no difference. God will embrace anyone like a Father to His child, if you are willing to embrace Him. That being said the pendulum has swung to the point that now Christians are being vilified just as LGBTQ people used to be and sometimes still are. Both are wrong. God told us to, "Love God and love each other." We have got to be committed to putting that into practice. We have got to stop bleeding each other, and I believe God is the only one that can help with that.
