Lindy, I'm sorry, will you please tell me what a pastel primer is? I thought the pastels would go on after the drying process, I've done the pastel with alcohol as underpainting, was I to use a pastel primer prior to adding my dry pastels? Thank you, you are truly the best and make painting Great fun!
Hi Crystal. yes the pastel primer goes on after the inks and before the pastels. I'm posting a video to show this part of the process in the next couple of days. ( Hopefully tomorrow). I use Colorfix clear pastel primer because it allows the underpainting to show through. It makes a slightly gritty surface so the pastels will stay on the paper. Sorry for the confusion. Happy painting!
I just winged it! I half filled the smallest spray bottle I could buy and then added the colour tube from a sharpie. Just used regular isopropyl alcohol from the chemist. I'm sure you'll be able to find a recipe on line for making sharpie inks.
Thank you Lindy. It looks such fun and so creative. Am off to buy more inks, now I can use the yupo paper I’ve had for a year.
It is fun- can a girl have too many inks? I don't think so!
Beautiful, witty
Thanks Pablo. Nice to hear from you again.
Beautiful!
This was great!

What percent alcohol did you use on your homemade sharpie alcohol inks?
