Yes it's Dreamscapes with June Rollins. She came to our Arts Council once in Wadesboro, NC. She told me she is concentrating on her work now and cannot come back soon.
I recently purchased Yupo Paper with a technique kit (book/video) and love what the possiblities are. I'm so inspired to try Distress inks now. Some amazing results using the inks. FYI = Yupo paper was originally created for labels on food containers (those labels that aren't paper are Yupo paper)
Hi, Tim. The artist who does the Dreamscapes is June Rollins, and she is amazing. There are a lot of exceptional AI artists. Karen Walker is another name you can check out on UA-cam. There are also a number of Facebook sites dedicated to Alcohol Inks.
How lovely, what wonderful results. Tim just has the greatest shirts! I always have shirt envy when I watch his videos. Does that make me sound weird, Lol I hope not.
Very cool. I'm just learning how to work with alcohol inks and have only used yours. I love those stencils, do you sell those too? Haven't seen them at Michaels.
Yupo is a little expensive, but I pay a lot for Anna Griffin materials because others like my work with them. I bought all your alcohol inks, (plus all your other products) and a pad of Yupo, because I like your work.
I find myself doing alcohol ink art everyday now using yupo paper and the ink. How can I attach yupo paper to canvas, either traditional or wood? I can't find any information anywhere other than using Golden soft gel.
You need to be careful. If you use a medium over the alcohol inks they may be reactive. You can always attach using brads or staples to a canvas. Could make for an interesting look. Otherwise, medium on the back of the paper is the best way.
Wow !!!! Friken awesome !!!!! I want it now ... !!!!! If I only had a magic wand right about now lol.... Another .... great staple to add to my crafty world!!!! ... Thx!!!! Tim!!!! .... (Warning ...Tim is an enabler... lol.. But I love it !!!!! ). I adore Tim and his brillant mind !!!!! TFS!!! Scrap time videos...
So, when I want to use the reaist technique on alxohol inked yupo, do I ise B,axk soot or archivel ink? Just a little comfused. Thanks for taking the to answer this question, as I am confused. Love yoir videos!
I Never have any luck with lifting alcohol ink off a piece, as you just did with the stencil. it never gets any white in it. also, the technique you did with the flourish stamp at the bottom of the piece i stamped twice with jet black archival ink and then tried wiping it off as you did, however, you can barely see any difference. am i not using enough alcohol blending fluid and the wrong alcohol ink colors for the first technique? do i need to quickly do the second technique to lift the color? or should i heat the ink before lifting???? thanks much for a reply--i have been meaning to ask about this for some time when i have tried them on other projects without success. thanks again.
I am watching Tim in the Creative Chemistry 3 Class and he mentioned if you have an Alcohol Ink BG and you stamp with archival it only wipes off a non-porous material such as glass or acrylic. It won't work on glossy cardstock. However, it will work on Yupo paper. So maybe you are using the wrong surface.
+littlefeatherspirit It could be that your ink is to wet and when you are wiping it off it is spearing and removing more of the background. Trying giving the ink a moment to dry. But if you wait too long then it won't come off. It take a bit of experimenting.
Hi Tim , I tried to order Alcohol paints etc from you but you wouldn't send to Australia ? I bought from other sites in the USA and it was no problem . My question is ,. Is there some problem with supplying alcohol inks to Australia ? I would love to hear from you as I am just starting out and need a whole lot of stuff .
Let me tell you something about Yupo and alcohol inks. You do get the incredible results shown here by Tim, BUT no matter how long you let the ink dry, it will still rub off...on your hands, your white card stock, your clothing, or anything else that touches it. I solved the problem by letting the ink dry overnight then putting the Yupo into a Dawn soap solution and rubbing all the excess off. After washing thus and drying again, it will not smudge.
+J&J Winans I'll have to try that. Question for you...Have you tried adding more alcohol after you wash it in the Dawn solution? Just wondering if it would reconstitute the AI that is left.
I didn't actually add more alcohol afterward. Washing was the last step before using the item so I can't answer your question. Maybe someone else knows and will comment.
+Nanaslegacy the Alcohol Inks are Acid Free, not sure of the paper. But I don't know if you want to put them on photos you are planning on keeping for 100 years.
Tim Holtz is a genius, no matter what product he is using he always takes it further than anyone else!
I'm 9 mins in, nothing new to me yet, js. But he did say he's new to it, I've used it for years.
Thank you! Love the ease with which Tim uses the different inks, and papers! Another HIT,❣❣❣❣awesomeness❣

Great video, so many possibilities!
I bought a huge sheet and then cut it to the sizes I wanted. Great to use with alcohol inks~
Very cool. I'm just learning how to work with alcohol inks and have only used yours. I love those stencils, do you sell those too? Haven't seen them at Michaels.
Wow this opens up a whole new world.

OMG!!!! This was incredible.

Whoa! That is fantastic!!!! Gotta have!
Not sure if it's been mentioned previously, but Yupo is recyclable!
Yupo is a little expensive, but I pay a lot for Anna Griffin materials because others like my work with them. I bought all your alcohol inks, (plus all your other products) and a pad of Yupo, because I like your work.

I need all this!!
That stencil technique probably would not work on a ceramic tile, right?
Not sure. I would give it a try on an inexpensive tile.
Can you glue something, paper, to the finished piece?? ( most excited I've been since my proposal) lol
Yes - you can glue things to Yupo - just use a wet glue - such as a multi-medium.
WOW! Love this! TFS
love this
That blending solution can make your inks not dry at all - I had to stop using it because it ruined all my pieces.
So, when I want to use the reaist technique on alxohol inked yupo, do I ise B,axk soot or archivel ink? Just a little comfused. Thanks for taking the to answer this question, as I am confused. Love yoir videos!
Black Soot Archival ink.
Thanks so much!
I love it!!!
Love this and your cool jewelry it's you🍥

I tried the stamp with archival ink and wiped it off and it completely smeared what went wrong?
+littlefeatherspirit It could be that your ink is to wet and when you are wiping it off it is spearing and removing more of the background. Trying giving the ink a moment to dry. But if you wait too long then it won't come off. It take a bit of experimenting.
+ScrapTimeVideos thank you I'll keep trying
mine did the same idk what I'm doing wrong
+Brittany Riggleman It takes a bit of practice. As I mentioned above, then ink may be a bit wet, therefore smearing when you rub it off.
can you please tell me if there is a sealer spray or varnish to protect and seal the works of art used with alcohol inks???
No - there is not a sealer for alcohol inks.
Yes, Kamar Varnish works great.
Thank you

Is there some problem with supplying alcohol inks to Australia ? I would love to hear from you as I am just starting out and need a whole lot of stuff .
Hi - this isn't Tim's site. I would email Ranger directly about your concern. I know when they sent me Alcohol Inks they had to be sent by ground.
You don't live in Australia do you ? I'm desperately trying to find someone in Australia who keeps Alcohol inks etc . Thanks for your reply though .
Here's a link I found through Google:
www.craftonline.com.au/shopping/shopdisplayproducts.asp?id=3712
thank you so much . My problem is now solved thanks to you .
Very cool
How do you get it to really dry.??
The ink dries by the alcohol dissipating. But if you add more alcohol to it, it will re-activate. If you add water - nothing will change.
Love this xoxo
Awesome 😀👍

+J&J Winans Thanks. It will give me something to experiment with .
Right, because it's a plastic, it doesn't soak in.
Please , where where can I order YUPO paper from Switzerland ?
+Anjoy Planet Your best bet is to google Yupo paper in Switzerland. It should be available at Art Supply stores. I live in Canada.
Is it photo safe? Acid free?
+Nanaslegacy the Alcohol Inks are Acid Free, not sure of the paper. But I don't know if you want to put them on photos you are planning on keeping for 100 years.
JUNE ROLLINS IS AWESOME WITH ALCOHOL INKS!!
Looks like Tim and Johnny Depp shop at the same places. And yes, that is a complement. =^)
Nice:)
Do Ranger make a UV Varnish Spray that Can be used over Alcohol Ink???
No - there currently isn't anything to use over Alcohol Inks.
Thanks🙂
Not correct. Kamar Varnish works well over alcohol ink and yupo paper.
