Thank you for the prayers, but people here still need help! We have been completely forgotten. We had help for a the first month and then nothing!!!!! We are still here!!!!! We still need help!!!!
I live in Graceville, Florida, sixty miles north of Panama City. Our highest sustained winds were 143 miles per hour. I'm one of the lucky ones in my town. I didn't get any damage at all. However, my house was built in 1905; plus the Good Lord was looking out for me. My town sustained massive damage from the storm but nothing like Mexico Beach. I have two brothers and a sister. My father was a rural mail carrier. He had Route Four, Graceville. In the summer of 1966 Daddy took two weeks vacation and we spent the two weeks staying in a concrete block house on Mexico Beach. We had a wonderful time. In one of these videos, I saw that that neighborhood, and the house we stayed in, did not survive Michael. That hurts.
My son’s girlfriend lives there. When the cell lines went down he had no other way to reach her. 3 days of pure manic hell. Finally they got to a spot where she got service and he heard from her. It was almost like a successful exorcism. The heavy air left the house and everything seemed lighter. Their house escaped with minimal damage as did several in their community but some other relatives weren’t that lucky. No deaths, just material damage.
It’s terrible but I don’t know why people live in places like this where this could happen. Hurricanes happen every year. It’s not like nobody ever heard about hurricanes
James Lade why do people live in California where there’s fires. Why do people live in Maine, New York, and Wisconsin when there are deadly snow storms, why do people live in Oklahoma and the mid west when there are tornadoes... it’s not like nobody ever heard about those things
I can't possibly shed enough tears for ALL of you. It really breaks my heart to see such devistation. Just remember though, you are not victims, but rather your survivors.
Wow. There’s no preparing for a storm of this magnitude. Unfortunately it’s part of life and we face the possibility of this every year. You never expect one to be this bad but it happens and has been happening more frequently
Exactly. Hurricanes are just part of nature. This one happened to be huge and hit an area where things weren't built like fortresses as other coastal areas that have been beat up on a more regular basis. There will always be one that is "bigger". There have been larger storms, but fate took this one into a place where it wouldn't normally have gone.
makes me more than happy to live in the middle of the country (colorado) the worst things we get are blizzards and tornados but where im from tornados are pretty rare and not that strong
Reminds me of Perrine after Hurricane Andrew, total destruction. I hope all of you heal after this. It is a horrific experience to have lived through. You might've lost property, but remember you still have each other.
People around the world laugh about the american technology of building houses. One of the reason of such a disastrous consequences. In fact, this is representing the hole American philosophy of life. Quantity against quality, shell against real content. Stop using fakes. In food industry, health, culture, education, religion, politics, everywhere !!! And everything will be better.
The best way to prepare for this is not to let people build so close to the beach. Let the beach be a beautiful beach and everyone will be able to enjoy it and live more safely.
Or stop electing morons for president, who don't believe in climate change. Maybe withdrawing from the Paris climate accord isn't the best idea considering what's happening right now.

I am not being insensitive to all these who have lost their homes and life. But....you are sitting on the edge of a very powerful force and it does not recognize you as superior to it so it does what it does and you have to accept that. Maybe we need to not build on the edge of a power such as this. We can enjoy it and love it but we need to work with nature and not expect it accomodate us.
Cyou 44 weather isn’t sentient....and on top of that, there isn’t anything you can do to prepare for something that strong. You just hope to survive. Don’t be ignorant in thinking that people deserve this in a way because of where they live. This isn’t a matter of a town building a dam and it breaking, this is a force of nature that you can only endure. There isn’t anything anyone can do to when a storm HUNDREDS of miles across is barreling towards a coastline, except wait.
Marjorie Murphy MMurphy his point obviously is that people shouldn't build their houses that close to the water in the first place not that they should "just move."
These were mostly very old homes. Most built in the 50's or before. They were concrete...cinder block homes...strong...but not up the newer codes. Even those that were...Will probably have severe structural damage despite looking ok...and have to be torn down.
I hate when I see comments of people lying and saying that they were in the storm.I've seen multiple comments of people saying they were in the middle of Katrina, or even Michael when they're just liars
Florence: I’m one of the strongest hurricanes ever! Michael: Hold your horses there buddy (I’m sorry if anyone takes this the wrong way, it’s meant to be a joke.)

Who built that town? Ima residential commercial electrician out of central Florida . That devastation is astounding there on the beach and 10% was hurricane proof
It is a town that had very old homes. The newer homes built with new codes are standing...but still probably suffered structural damage and will have to be rebuilt. This was a monster storm.
The cycle never stops of building on the coast and getting hit by a hurricane. If you can't afford to build a hurricane proof raised concrete house, then you shouldn't build. The government shouldn't be responsible for bailing people out every time this happens. Enough. This affects every taxpayer.
Nonetheless, quite a number of buildings remain almost undamaged, so now you study those buildings that survived intact and you implement that as a building code.
so many people think they are living in Paradise just because they have Beach beachfront property. However, that is not the case because when a major storm comes up you will feel the full brunt of it and your dream home and life will suddenly be gone.
And then the insurance company sends you a check, and you rebuild. Happens all the time, and people move on. And once they rebuild, they're still going to be living in paradise, in a new home, enjoying the life they've chosen. Unless there is loss of life, this is all just stuff. The dream home can easily be built. Life isn't "suddenly gone." It's just put on hold for a few months until the check clears.
The tech that build the standing homes needs to build others.. This is so sad and heart breaking.. Might wanna consider getting off coast.. Build up them steel homes bc there will be more hurricanes.. One day Florida going fall off the map.. like California..So glad FEMA their to help and all others.. Devastating loss..

nope, but I believe in 9 planets lining up,and sunspots no one wants to talk about, this is caused by the same power causing water to recede world wide, and there are no answers, that means no one knows, tired of everyone guessing
It's for the first time in history that climate has changed this rapidly. 0.7 degrees Celsius in 100 years. It doesn't seem like much, but it's enormous. And next to the fact that we shouldn't pollute our planet with plastics and oil, we also have an obligation to our offspring not to leave them with a hot global mess that - according to the UN - will make for 250 million climate refugees in 2035.
As has happened NUMEROUS times throughout Earth's history, without any measurable influence by mankind. The fact that the U.S. is not currently covered by a giant glacier is evidence that the Earth went through major (you might say "cataclysmic!") warming periods well before the industrial revolution or any alleged anthropogenic warming.
Why are some buildings standing tall while flattened wood is prevalent? Is there flood damage inside the standing houses? Why are the authorities "rescuing" those who refused and chose not to leave? Bless all those who need all the help they can get!
God has been "coming soon" for over 2,000 years now. Case in point: St.Luke chapter 22, verse 32 ... "Verily I say unto you, this generation will not pass away, till all be fulfilled". (in RED letters) You should know what that signifies. This certainly implies that Jesus would return before 100 AD.
We are here in eastman GA ... no electricity since then and is not coming next whole week ... no food no water no electricity... this is what you call end time ??

People just say stupid things. We are all living on the same planet and anything can happen when it comes to weather. In recent years, the U.S. has endured massive floods, volcanic eruptions, wildfires, tornadoes and hurricanes. Please don’t judge a person living on the coastline as you’d then have to judge where anyone lives. Suffice it to say, Mother Nature is a wicked force at times.
Yeah, because you know "all these people" and what their thoughts were toward the homeless. With those mind-reading skills, you must be a hoot at parties.
I was saddened to hear of the tragic loss of houses and beautiful area. My prayers and thoughts are with everyone who has been affected by the dreadful disaster. Take care...
Uh no. It wasn't Not by any measure. Not in terms of property damage. Not in terms of human casualties. If you're a weather nerd, it maybe registered higher in a few statistical areas, but it is in no way "worse" than a storm that killed 1,800+ people.
the first thing to do is to start building strong houses you have the technology that took you to the moon planning to get to Mars and are still building your houses with matchsticks just like chicken coops!!!! Look at the aerial photos and all you see is like match sticks strewn on the floor, come on start designing better houses!!!!!
And just to prove how much they control it, they produced a BELOW AVERAGE hurricane season, with a mere 2 major storms (Cat. 3+) and then diabolically ordered everyone to evacuate to ensure there was a remarkably low death toll. Evil geniuses, I tell you. Will their diabolical plans never cease?!
Nice revisionist history. All that help (and more) was there within a few days after Katrina. President Bush signed a $10.5 million relief package and deployed 7,200 active duty troops to assist in relief efforts 4 days after the storm. Armies of charity workers and city and county volunteers from across the nation were there even earlier. The only reason New Orleans was so devastated and lost so many lives is the total lack of leadership and accountability of its liberal mayor, Ray Nagin. He not only waited until a day before landfall to order evacuation but then refused to use city buses to evacuate people out of the 9th ward because he was worried about "liability." Then, he orders evacuees to the Superdome where there is no water, food or adequate sanitation (despite the fact that the city had other shelters with plans in place for exactly those types of situations). Of course, all of this was on the heals of years of refusing to address the known issue of aging levies that he knew were likely to fail. He knew the risks and let his people drown while pointing his finger at Washington and taking zero responsibility for his own city.
Yes, there are things to do to prepare for this. -Passing stricter laws and regulations and NOT ALLOWING anything new to be built which doesn't adhere to those regulations. The endless rebuilding with twig homes, the trash/waste if causes, is just absurd. -There are many options, we know how to make hurricane proof homes, but getting insurance to cover the building of BETTER homes in the place of old ones is impossible. In giving people only a fractions of the home's worth you're forcing a fast and cheap rebuilding process which will not survive the increasingly extreme weather patterns and the govt lets it happen. Just like in Kansas and "Tornado Alley" where they won't give money for storm cellars or better built homes. smh. Really, the loss is sad and absurd. At what point do the people in power start admitting they just want people to die? Like, come on, this is absurd. I feel for the loss of this town so much and I feel sorry for them for the people who lead them there through cutting corners in the sake of profit and ease.
I'll have a hard time feeling sorry for people who are stupid enough to stay in the face of a storm of that magnitude ... Or any named storm from that vantage point
California has their fires. People live in Maine, New York, and Wisconsin where there are deadly snow storms, people live in Oklahoma and the mid west where there are tornadoes... So feel sorry or not you don’t need to put out your negativity and your stupidity to yourself
Of below average hurricane seasons like the one we're experiencing? Let's hope... because if we ever return to the hurricane activity of the late 1800s and early 1900s, we'll be in real trouble.
Yeah... and just to prove how diabolical they are, these boogeymen had the audacity to produce a BELOW AVERAGE hurricane season with only 7 hurricanes, of which a mere 2 were "major" (Cat. 3+). They're such diabolical geniuses that they are hiding their true agenda by being really, really, really bad at making storms and then ensuring they warn everyone to evacuate just to be sure everyone is safe. Genius, I say. Pure genius.
Thank you for the prayers, but people here still need help! We have been completely forgotten. We had help for a the first month and then nothing!!!!! We are still here!!!!! We still need help!!!!

In recent years, the U.S. has endured massive floods, volcanic eruptions, wildfires, tornadoes and hurricanes. Please don’t judge a person living on the coastline as you’d then have to judge where anyone lives. Suffice it to say, Mother Nature is a wicked force at times.
I think this is it THE END !!!.... If not keep your great spirit and keep 5 five miles away from water line next time !!!.... GOOD LUCK 😎👍
This is so sad, and my sympathy and condolences for all the families. Still a lot to be learn from the secrets of the Universe🧠🤔🧐
Its just a start , .... !
This tiny sleeping Angels on my mamas finger made hurricane Michael.
Sorry for poor people ...that's all
I hope God will bring their houses back
🙏🙏😩
Where does an elevator go? Jesus, that's real, Lord help them
all these people were against the homeless, Now THERE HOMELESS. join the crowed.
Bunch of rich vacation homes
This is worse than Katrina and Ivan!
Look at the aerial photos and all you see is like match sticks strewn on the floor, come on start designing better houses!!!!!
now that they can control the weather, who will be next.
It's only going to get worse.
The Lord will provide.
cardboard homes, when a tiphoon hit taiwan homes stand. holliwood film style homes .
WHERE WAS ALL THIS HELP AFTER KATRINA WTF
after Andrew we also didn't have help for a week
I feel for the loss of this town so much and I feel sorry for them for the people who lead them there through cutting corners in the sake of profit and ease.
trump is sending a special "Lock Her Up" your way!
god is a woman
Please keep your " opiate of the masses " gibberish to yourself.
Saddddddddd
Well what do you expect from a major hurricane. A couple downed trees and that's it?
I hope popularmmos is okay
hurricane bachar assad
I'll have a hard time feeling sorry for people who are stupid enough to stay in the face of a storm of that magnitude ... Or any named storm from that vantage point
Who that hell are you!! Get off of my account!!!!!
California has their fires. People live in Maine, New York, and Wisconsin where there are deadly snow storms, people live in Oklahoma and the mid west where there are tornadoes... So feel sorry or not you don’t need to put out your negativity and your stupidity to yourself
Sadly this is just the beginning
Of below average hurricane seasons like the one we're experiencing? Let's hope... because if we ever return to the hurricane activity of the late 1800s and early 1900s, we'll be in real trouble.
They shoulda prayed harder to their gud.
Weather warfare. Military tribunals are bearing down on some individuals, matter of life or death
Yeah... and just to prove how diabolical they are, these boogeymen had the audacity to produce a BELOW AVERAGE hurricane season with only 7 hurricanes, of which a mere 2 were "major" (Cat. 3+). They're such diabolical geniuses that they are hiding their true agenda by being really, really, really bad at making storms and then ensuring they warn everyone to evacuate just to be sure everyone is safe. Genius, I say. Pure genius.
Gods judgments: isn't it ironic: they want us 2 feel sorrow: GOD TRIES EVERY FUKIN BODY
You think this was made by a god? Seriously?
