12:45 One cool thing you can do with cannon transport on trains is schnabell-ish cars which are two separate, single-bogie cars when empty and then you put down a few cannons resting on both, and use stickers to attach the cannon on both ends which connects the two cars and turns them into a singular one
@@abrams11 hey Abrams, thank you for your cind response! Nice to see you still remember me. I've haven't really played Minecraft much at all in the recent years. Still waiting for aeronautics.

Now I'm tempted to parade my cannon factory on YT lmao. My first ever create mod related project was making the cannon factory. All the way back when autocannons, fluid shells or even scrap from boring haven't became a thing. Being mediocre in both redstone and create, I stuggled on and off for half a year. I succeded in constructing a flexible factory where you could build a cannon of any legthn with the limit of 1 block short of maximum length, out of any liquid metals you want. It sounds so underwhelming when I list the individual modules doesn't it? When the autocannon came out, I intergrated it to the other side of the cannon factory, using the same tanks for liquid metal, and the same scrap recycling system. There's even a board saying how full is the scrap vault and what type of scrap taking up how many percentage of it. The most hilarious part about this is how the entire thing can live off a lvl 2 steam engine. This giant factory which can satisfy all your cannon, autocannon and ammunition (small scale) creation needs. Simple mechanical crafters to make HE shells (no fluid shell loading tho), big cannon cartridges, autocannon parts, nitra powder for the shells. The boring was completely automatic, once it's finish casting, it gets moved over for boring, once finished will be moved to the Assembly Bay (which is where you get to decide whether or not you want your barrel to be 'tapered' or uniform in thickness cuz apprently, differing thicknesses are finiky). For transport, the use of minecart contraptions works beautifully. A giant ass smeltery that can accomodate the entire cannon. Lastly, turning it into a minecart contraption for a deployer holding a wrench to turn it into an item where you can convinently place it anywhere you wish. But I know it's not perfect and that it's stupidly hard to balance automation with flexibilty. Especially since they never plan to use hose pullies to work with cannon casting which is such shame. Yes, I'm excited to share my unwieldy but practical, first ever creation. Im thinking to do a redesign but I fear that once I got a winning formula (which i did), my thinking won't doverge much further than that formula and will happen to just rebuild the same thing. (I really hope someone back in those time went through the same struggles so they'd just understand how goddamn finiky all the process was)
7:00 last I checked cannons don't need to be glued for blasting as long as the layers interlock (with yours the very small layer goes along the entire thing, so if the breech is screwed in it should stay together)
that's interesting I glued it cuz the first time i did only half of the cannon moved so I just glued it and told people to glue to be extra safe, but yeah you can try without glue and see if it works for you Thanks for the tips!
@@abrams11 Also, from what I checked a few days ago, as long as you are blasting the thing, you don't need to actually make the whole length of the layer in one go. You can make them separately, silk touch them, drill them, and you only need them all lined up and interlocking for the process of blasting. After that, you need to transport the entire thing, though.
Hi i would like to ask something when i try to drill the canon it dosent work i did everything properly match the speed gave it plenty of water and put the unbored auto canon infront of it and it dosent work
Alight so sand can be just crafted normally but moulds you first need to throw logs at a mechanical saw and gamble till you get the right one lol If you have a mould that you want already you can duplicate it without gambling by just setting it as the recipe filter for the saw, then it will start producing only that mould
