thank you brotha!! ya, being a photographer, I'm way more comfortable behind the camera instead of in front of it heh
Great video👍 I wondered how u did water changes on that giant
Friday Fish Facts Haha Thks man! I Forgot to mention the part of the 1'' drain valve on the bottom of the tank, it's connected to the backyard, so make the water change much easier 😉
Wow. Beautifully done video. Better than most seasoned pro tubers. Well done brother

GTres5 for sure! I will 😄
One of the most beautiful tanks, great video!!
thank you so much for the kind words and encouragement! :D
Wow, surprised you didn’t utilize all that space under the tank for a sump! I love the idea of an outside sump though. I’m in San Diego and would have the same issue of heating the return water.
Eric K ya haha, cuz my plan was to use the bottom space for my dog as a doggie house. But that Never happened cuz my dog past away before I can finalize Everything sadly
TMK Aquarist Aww bummer, well it looks like you could slide a good size sump in there now, right?
Eric K ya, I was so fixated on having the sump outside, I just haven’t thought abt putting one under at all haha. Silly me. Ya, I think I’ll just put one under the tank and make my life easier lol.
I’m in the process of building another tank, it’ll be a 280 gallon discus tank, but for that one , I have no choice other than setting up the sump outside of the house.
TMK Aquarist have to admit, an outside sump would be pretty awesome though. Would be a great way to filter out nitrates of my large African cichlid tank and grow vegetables at the same time, ha.
Eric K Exactly! I wanted to set it up as a Monster tank before, and aquaponic was the way I wanted to filter the nitrate. But then since I decided on a planted tank, I can't keep the Outdoor plants anymore, cuz they'll out compete the indoor ones
Love your tanks and love that you made a video. Thank you for sharing with us. ❤
Thanks so much! I will share more long videos better showing my tanks :)
Awesome video man, keep up the great work!

Great tank. Are you using CO2
thank you! ya, I am
Amazing 🐠🐠🐠🐠🐠
Amazing Nature thk u so much!
Great tank Mark, do you use CO2 fertilization for your plants on this big tank? And if you do, what type of reactor do you use?
@@Backblast72 ya I did inject co2 for a period of time, that’s when the plants, especially the Amazon sword just absolutely took off! But for its later part of life, I stopped using co2, although the plants were as glorious, they were still thriving and healthy. I didn’t use a reactor, but I used this old school diffuser called “cyclone”. It basically just created a vortex using the jet from a pump and broke up the co2 bubbles into smaller bubbles. Not the most efficient way to do it, but still worked.
New sub too you👍🏻😃💚
Thanks!!! :D
TMK Aquarist 😃👍🏻💚
Finally someone says that the regular finisher FX5s are fine. I can’t believe how most fish keepers on UA-cam over complicate filtration. Some makes sense but some are over the top.
What u mean by “regular finisher”?
amazing tank, inspirational
Thank you! I'm glad your feel that way :D
Watching the build on IG was great. Any hope for the sump or is the outside temperature too cold to make it work even in the summer?
in the summer the sump will work fine, but then i just want something more permanent, u know? I already finished insulating it, but then I need to modify it to just use half of that sump, and make the other half into a garden plant crate to grow some flowers I guess lol. I'll update u guys when I eventually get around to it and make some progress :)
Finally! A video! I’ve been wanting this forever! Great job man!
haha, ya, been so long, thanks for being patient with me Alec! Hope all is well brotha!
