Many of you know I've been wanting to do this for a long time. The Amazon River needs a revamp and I also want to add the electric blue acara to the aquarium. I'm went for big impact with lots of plants. I hope you love it!!

hi first,also can u only buy aquarian products in UK and USA online or is it national?
More neons and more glow light tetras would be great .... you're rams and the blue acara are going to need caves to spawn in ... the bristles probably too ... otherwise you may have aggression between the cichlids.j/s

I love a well established amazon tank. Everything looks so natural with algae and plant clutter. Breaks my heart that you had to tear it down.
This turned out so good. MD, you have really changed the game. I am active on youtube and Reddit, and follow so many aquarium related channels/pages. It's rare that someone hasn't been inspired by your videos and your creations. I see so many people referencing you, whether it be your substrate layering, the media bags, the internal filters, lighting, the list goes on. I am really so heartened to see it because I remember following you back when you had less than 1000 subs when your videos were just music and aquarium setups. You have really grown in your skill but you've never lost the charm that made you a special youtuber. Just wanted to show my support and thank you for what you do to make the hobby seem approachable and like anyone can do it. It is a lot harder than it seems, but it's so fun to try. Your electric blue acaras are going to start picking off the smaller tetras. My acaras ate all but 2 of my 14 rummy nose tetras in one day.
Probably a good idea to move the small ones like the glowlights and cardinals to a different tank
Mine did the same thing once it got about 3 inches. I started finding neon tetras with their fins all damaged from almost being eaten.

Whats the smallest fish you can keep with your electric blues?
I really want some schooling fish in my main tank, 310L/82gal water.
So I just got 12 congo tetras, but ideally id like some other as well.
Got 16 cherry Barbs as well, though they very well might be eaten as well.
@@mikkelkirketerp4884 mine didn’t eat them but that’s because the Acara aren’t full grown. They tried to and really beat the hell out of them. They took care of all of my green neon and Pygmy cories. Took one night. They had lived together just fine for a while, so I didn’t expect it. One day they figured it out and boom.

I grew up in a tropical fish shop. So all my life I have been scaping and combining community tanks. This is the best scape I have ever seen... well done you and the addition of the Acaras is just inspired. The Rams are happy and I love your ideas on flow. So many people keep stagnant aquaria.... now can we have a rosy barb tank? They are truly beautiful and school in such a gorgeous way? But this was an inspiration .... congrats!

I told my wife that your tank was the world’s most beautiful sight. My wife jumped into my 500 gallon monster aquarium. I hope she survives. It hasn’t been cycled yet. I put a filter and added some API accu-clear!!!

A suggestion for river type would be stones are bigger as the flow gets faster so small stuff close to banks and bigger stuff in the current

Plecos like caves to spawn in, you can search pleco caves, but after you do find ceramic self watering plant spikes, they're basically the same. then hide them in the back and before long you'll have baby plecos.
