I didnt start until just before endwalker. And i played smn. So i got to see how it felt for the first 30 levels or so before they changed it. And i honestly liked both iterations. But i was really hoping we'd get something more. The new summon is definitely not what i was expecting, a little bit underwhelming actually.
They still arent even giving us variance in the crystal summons, even just basic model swap between ifrit, titan, garuda to leviathan, ramuh, shiva would have been acceptable.
The fact that Sage got more changes to it's dps kit than summoner did is just sad. Would it have killed them to have given us an "enkindle" for each of our egis for a more interesting filler? What's the point of Demi's now? We have three and they are functionally identical, other than one having their damage on two buttons instead of one.
I'm just happy summoner wasn't changed for the first time.
Wish they gave me something more on Smn :/ Still gonna play it though

seems to gloss over the thundercloud rework. current thunder proc reapplies the dot AND does a high potency hit. these changes and no sharp cast means no more on demands instant cast nukes or AOE nuke spam in dungeons.
Phoenix will pretty likley get its own upgrade in the next expansion
Let's start a petition and change Solarwhocaresmut to Hydaelyn Blessing! So keep the glowing wing figure but change to Hydaelyn ( fragment of her power), coming from Ew this will be making sense...so Hb, Bh, Hb, Ph...please make petition and share...I can wait for other summons now, I know they will come, just hate this Solar reskin lazy stuff.

Do you still regen MP naturally if you drop Astral completely due to a cutscene? Or would you be potentially stuck for 3 ice GCD's regenning MP after a cutscene?
Manafont is more than likely going to be the contingency for that
@@OneFiveYankee plus always got Lucid Dreaming if need be for that too, guess could pop that before cutscene if you know when its going to happen.
Yes you recover MP the normal tick of the server like any job
BLM is a class I think I’ll have to play or see to really get the changes. Manafont seems like it’s been repurposed for picking up after dropping Enochian (or being forced to drop it with all these mid fight cutscenes). But with how much of a Chad people really have to be to play BLM well, I still feel as though a lot of people are going to end up standing there in Lucid Dreaming because of the 120s CD. Also Thunder changes? But why?

I liked the changes to Endwalker Summoner! I hate Dawntrail Summoner! Why can't we get Ramuh, Leviathan, & Shiva!?! I love Red Mage changes!

Summoner changes make no sence lol why add a 3rd demisummon that plays identical to the other 2 and why make it another bahamut lol. They could have ateast done something like reaper enshrowd where casting astral impulse 2 gives you a new ogcd or literally anything that would differentiate it from the other 2 summons new heal ig but who cares lol.im gonna sound like a broken record but we really shoulda gotten ramuh levi and shiva after phionex. They couldve given us new mechanics and still keep the job easy like make shiva a mini melee phase or ramuh short casts alternatin instant casts or something. But this new solar bahamut seems to throw a wrench in that idea for future expansions. I keep hearing people say that square didnt want to add anything because they wanted summoner to still be a easy job for beginners but i promis yall if summoner got literally anything substantial added to its rotation in dawntrail it still would be easy af lol .i just want my main to be the best it can be but square seems to have decided that its already perfect so ig we can look forward to solar phoinex next expansion so we can have 4 identical demis lol anyways thanks for coming to my ted talk as you can see im very tilted lol
Hey look, yoshi p's job made completely more interesting and broken while the 2 other casters is... eh, sure rdm gets a bit more movement that was lacking but other than that :shrug:
I’m pretty sure most BLM layers aren’t very happy with the changes.
@@sergel02 We're not, but a lot of us are also lifers so we'll complain and continue to play it. In fairness it's really only going to affect like 5% of content (and that's current content) but depending on encounter design it might not do anything. We'll just have to wait and see. The biggest "issue" is it basically killed BLM creativity, which is sad, but I get why they did it. NS wasn't ever supposed to be a playstyle, we just five headed that shit and made it happen.
@@OneFiveYankee im more sad about thunder, and how boring synced 70-90 content and basic dungeons will be without aoe thunder spam lol.
