  • This week, I wanted to start a new series I'd like to call "Camera Thrifts." Here, I'll showcase a setup that I've built for around a hundred bucks!
    The camera is fully featured for both photo and video with its 18 megapixel crop sensor, Full HD recording and mic jack!
    This entire video (aside from when I'm holding it or in my house) was filmed on the canon T2i.
    Thanks for viewing and feel free to stay awhile!

    I love shooting manual lens because it teaches you how to take photos instead of relying on auto focus. It mames you a little more slow and methodical

    Just got a T2i last week at a thrift. No charger so unable to test. However, it did have battery, lense, and 32Gb card so took a flyer. Had an OEM charger in the stash (I buy all Canon chargers when I see them). Woohoo! I works like a charm. It had some vacation pictures on it so I don't think the shutter count is astronomical. Mine for $30.

      Snagged a t2i with the kit lens for $200 this week off eBay. Couldn't pass it up. Didn't come with a charger but that should be arriving tomorrow. So in total I paid like $240 (including tax) for everything.

    I'm still using my canon t2i too. I just love it so much and the size is just right. I bring it on field and take macro photos of plants, insects etc. Can you recommend any macro lens for t2i?

      I love the t2i with the 10-18 stm lens (nearly the only lens I use haha). The 50mm is good and cheap too! I'd also recommend the canon 28 f1.8 (with the crop sensor it's a bit wider than the 50) and the canon 70-300 full frame ultrasonic lens

    Hi,sorry for bothering you. I’m starting to learn cinematography, considering lumix g85 and this canon t2i ,which one will you recommend?

    • @MattsNotes
      @MattsNotes  Рік тому +1

      That's a great question!
      I think it would depend on your budget ultimately. The T2i is great because it's cheap, but I absolutely love the g85 for everything.
      If I had to choose and finances weren't a factor, it would be the g85. The uncropped 4k, cinelike log mode, IBIS, and articulating screen would allow you to really explore cinema!
      Thanks for your question,!

      Assuming you already have the 18-55mm IS (STM?) kit lens, the best wide angle converter is the VIEWO 0.7X 58mm. It make your kit lens behave with view angles just like that of a FULL FRAME camera.
      It the 0.7X Viewo is no longer be available then a low cost 0.43x Wide Angle lens with macro could be an alternative. Buying the 67mm version + a 67mm to 58mm adapter ring (instead of a 58mm version) will give you a wide angle convertion without any Vignetting.

      I think a good prime like the "plastic fantastic" 50mm f1.8 (or any variation of it cheap or expensive) is an awesome choice to keep around, and a nice wide angle: either the 14mm f2.8 rokinon or the canon 10-18 are my favorites!
