To be fair, from what Jingles said this is either his first or third battle in the You Yang, so he must have gotten that high in the tiers with other ships. He's still a jackass, though.

Yeah, I'm not gonna touch ranked battles until that incentive to screw your team to save your star is gone.
There needs to be a jinx rule on ranked play. If you are on the losing team for a certain number of games, you're a jinx, and if you are on the losing team, you're never considered the 'best player' and keep your star - you _always_ lose your star if you lose.
Or, if your team loses, you lose your star. Period. No 'best' one on the losing team keeps his star crap. You lose, you lose. Too bad, so sad.
Because the 'best player' on the losing team keeping his star is not earning its keep.
I would be absolutely pissed if that happened to me.

T10-ranked, and at least 3 ships didn't have a clue... This problem is easily fixed by only allowing Ships with experience to play in ranked.... Guess that wouldn't make as much money tho...

for those who are not aware: if you targed an destroyer and want to fire deepwater torps at them the game tells you that you cannt hit them so theres no excuse for firing deepwater torps at destroyers (tier 5+)
A great many of t10 players are no better than t6 players.
Which is why it would be good to see more lower (not t10) games for the variety. Quality wouldn't be worse.

I had a game like this in WarThunder recently. It was 1v1 left, but the enemy had been sitting at his airfield for 40 minutes. So of course our only remaining player, a D3A1 japanese dive bomber decided to go into the enemy airfield at 300kmh at 200m altitude and get shredded by AA fire 9 seconds before the game ended and we won on points.
Well, what do you expected at this tier? As far as I remember D3A1 BR is little above reserves so this might been this guy first charge on enemy af, hopefully he will learn. Play higher BR and such things will happen less often and by this I don't mean af campers - that's War Thunder air RB trade mark, but there will be no players who will throw a match this way when they are winning by tickets and the match is about to over.

I remember winning once in WT RB by similar means. I and another F82 had spent the entire match strafing ground targets on sicily, cleaning the board of Pillboxes with the 14 .50's you can get. We both ended up getting shot down at one point, which left a whiny bomber in a 17G to just have to stay alive...
He was salty enough to actually J out after a while of us telling him to just drop his bombs on the last pillbox, but the irony was? The last pillbox was destroyed just as he finished j'ing out and we won on objective due to superior attacker power.

The "spotted by radar" icon disappears if they can see you. So the Z-52 probably thought he got spotted and could get away with smoking up

The "Spotted by radar" icon wouldn't have appeared at all until z-52 ducked into the smoke. He actually got the hard spot first, then popped radar.

The z52 immediately beached himself as he was being shot at by a cruiser and I dont see any defense for that.
@@Amonabus Remember what the Z-52 is seeing and doing. He sees a cruiser and a hard spot while he is moving. In literally every case that radar isn't available, the Z-52 did exactly the right thing. Pop smoke and turn to get smoke coverage asap. If there wasn't radar, that would have been the correct move because he could easily have been killed in broadside while outrunning his own smoke and at that range turning in would be death even faster. Literally the only chance at all of survival was to turn away with smoke on and hope there wasn't radar available.
Try coming up with anything better. Z-52, no torps, no cover, and a cruiser spots you.

The 52 isnt seeing the mini map as a radar cruiser was spotted and shot at by teammates then began to shoot back at the yamato across the field of vision of the 52. The 52 had never been radar'ed himself and is sitting, broadside, in open water in the B cap... Next to a known radar cruiser... and has yet to experience being radar'ed himself... then out of desperation beaches himself causing any chance of escape to be useless at that point and you're saying he did everything right?
OK, don't go to cap B in open water next to a known red radar cruiser.

I just recently had a game, where the enemy team had all 3 caps, while all of our BBs were hiding in the back flaming us to take caps, then when we went in without support, died expectedly to radar, then got flamed for being noob DDs. My stats def. tell another story. I just deleted the game cant take this community anymore. I hope WG will implement responsive and good bots soon

Yes, I understand, really I do. However I take what I believe is a more realistic view of a "non"-situation, which is:
This is just a game for entertainment during personal free time. And there are people who do seemingly stupid things in this game no matter what type of ship they play, so BB's against DD's makes no sense to me, except just playful smack-talk. I personally have no expectation to actually have good teamwork in Random-Type battles. I would expect teamwork from regular team members who play together, learn together, win and lose together. But "RANDOM" selection? No. The "salty" situation is created by irrational expectations, thus, a non-issue (in my opinion).
That may not be a perfect way to put it, but the gist is the same.

jingles people are buying accounts too. One guy in ranked was asking at start of the match "how to play BB in ranked?" and then said that "i bought this account". He was playing in a richlieu. It's so bad and the bot problem is rampant in asia server
He SAID in chat he bought the account?? That's an instant account ban if anyone bothered to report it.

In the defense of the Z-52: He was hard detected by Flambass, and thus he didn't know if Flambass was radaring or if he even had radar ready.
You can tell if you're spotted by radar, aircraft or within line of sight and detection range of an enemy ship... wargaming gave everyone the permanent "sixth sense" skill a long time ago.
Hard spotting always has priority in the icons though. So if you are hardspotted AND radared at the same time it will look like you're hardspotted. Then you smoke up and the icon changes to the "radared" icon.
But you can see it's a Worcester spotting you, if you smoke up you can be 100% certain he will use his radar.
well i mean youre hard spotted by someone who will definately kill you, so obviously you choose to gamble and smoke up, hoping he doesnt have radar up. What the Z-52 did is the only logical thing to do in that case.
And that is why they should have seperate icons in the UI that can be active at the same time for hard and radar spotting.
And this is why the saving star mechanic needs to go
The way Flambass explained it, the star helps to avoid even worse things, so the star is actually improving it all around...but nothing is perfect.
Before star-saving, entire teams in ranked threw if they thought they were at a big disadvantage. Their thought processes were similar to the GK in this match, to make the best of a losing match. However, instead of trying to farm damage the team would suicide rush so that they could jump into the next game faster.
flashtirade - Yes, Flambass said something exactly like that. Flambass is actually a very cool cat. Yes, he can act out in his saltiness, but then he recovers and is actually a considerate and fair guy. He is always....ok, no, wait....always-eventually willing to consider the other guys point of view hehehe. ;)

The worst thing about PvP games is that you have to play against and sometimes with other people. And hell is other people.

what makes me even more nervous is how someone with so little knowledge and skill can even make it to Tier X and rank 2. if he canmake it to rank 2.. how much worse are the players who do not participate ?

@@mynameiswritinwater Our clan only do the bronze stuff. Not much fun doing more. The format is not rewarding good players. Playing random in divisions is fun. Three people in a division can really change the game. If the enemy also has divisions, it's real fun. We would like to see rated games; where it's ther play level that's deciding - not just grinding a lot of games. The Elo system used in chess modified to multiplayer games would be interesting - and fun :) Take care!

I think the GKF takes the cake here, never mind feexp'ing to T10 and not knowing the ships, how on earth did you get to T10 and not understand Cap mechanics? I didn't need the mod timer to know that they would have won, add to that the entire team shouting at you to run; hide or stop and you just carry on like a blind deaf mute at the controls of a bullet-train!!!!!

Thats a very important lesson many players in WoT should learn.... I came across a lot of players lately that have played like 500 games or less...and yet....They are driving around in a Tier 8 prem tank with a WR of 44%...I have seen players in tier 10's with less than a 1000 games....Nothing strange about that, some people would say but the WR does say it all....because they manage to go down to 43%.....The team is relying on these top tier players but they are just as useless as a bull in a china shop..NOTHING is pissing me off more than these wallet warriors who fuck it up for other players.
I would suspect that GraveDigger is another GREAT example of a wallet warrior.....TOTALLY AND UTTERLY USELESS...

Spaeking as a player with a 46% WR..who has ground pretty much every t8 he owns..I take exception to that remark....btw I've been on 46% since the first week of open beta...before that I had a 65% win rate which shows you how many useless wankers came into the game when it went open.
You do realize if you concentrate on one ship line you can reach tier X in well under 400 games without spending a single cent, less if you don't intentionally steer into torpedoes?

Aren't there several issues here?
1: There's something flawed with ranked if 1 player can personally gain at the expense of their team (I don't play ranked so not sure if this is a valid comment)
2: There's something very wrong when the likes of GraveDigger_BG can fuck things up for other folk by free XPing to T10.
3: There's something wrong if some of the team have access to WoWs official modpack, but other's don't. If it's official, add it to everyone and let them opt out.

Once I shot deep water torpedoes through group of friendly DDs. They were so scared took evasive maneuvers. And plus they accused me to be teamkiller. All I want was to add mayhem to their torps.

To be precise he said "we don't have any caps" -> because A&B were about to be flipped.
At that moment he forgot that you don't need any cap to win IF you have more points at the time end.
Well, I forgot that my Karlsruhe had any guns to shoot with, when I was waiting for my engines to work again to torp someone.
Difference: I had played less than 50 battles in WoWS or so and was also stressed.
This guy has a T10 BS... So has MUCH more experience than me. So he shouldn't really be stressed about that kind of thing, when your team is begging you what to do ^^
In fairness to the Kurfurst, he read the situation at the very end right without knowing it; at the end, the YueYang was coming in from BEHIND him and trying to get back into the cap was the safer thing to do (note how he dodges the surprise torpedo buttsex). However, he should probably have stayed behind the headland after he left A/B (the safest thing to do, to escape the Worcester's HE BBQ) for much longer than he did.
I would understand saving the star when its obvious you are going to lose, but this guy had the ADVANTAGE all the way.
I'm assuming he just cant do the math of how much time is left and how much is the win condition etc so he panics and just try to save a star, but making himself look like a fool in the process.
According to his stats he is actually a pretty decent player, but many players have a habit of "tunneling" and not paying attention to the score, the time, the minimap or the chat and lose games stupidly because of this.

Major problem with WG. you get it in WOT and WOW idiots that just free exp or buy latest tank or ship and have zero clue what they doing. why dont they set a system in game that you need to lvl up to unlock the next tier by being good at last tier and lock the prems to you get to the tier that it in. Simple but wg too lazy to do it as they make more money off of noobs that only want to waste money and never learn how to play.

Say what you want, but if WG wanted to stay afloat and NOT have to charge people for the game, then they can't cut a major portion of their income
Caelo de Vorago really and yet the game is not free to play. As you need premium accounts to even make a profit. So yeh I think wg need to change some things like mm, as it would actually improve game and make it better for player all round. they would not lose income as they would gain more players and actually make a profit. By way they get money from big company's for sponsorship (anime, Warhammer 40k and total war) so how are they making a loss.
Everybody has an opinion about how WG can make money and there is only one opinion that is actually correct, that is WG's opinion. You know of the really weird crazy and stupid things WG will do from time to time? Well, THAT is called "Market Testing". Everything WG does is either a test or the resulting decision of a test. If WG was doing really bad business without learning (as many like to fuss), they would not be in business for long.
That being said, no matter what WG does or no matter how well they do it, there will always be a moron Keyboard Commando or two here and there talking about how wrong they are.

Shows ranked is not really about skill but just grinding, both players rank 4 and 5 but both terrible.
A fair point, in my opinion.
I mean if the YY had the z-52 targeted the torp prediction indicator even changes color to WHITE and tells you the torpedo cannot hit the ship currently targeted, if you check the torpedo info in port it shows that the torpedo is restricted to specific class targets... a child could figure it out. As for the GK, he had one job at the end, a little bit of quick math (quick is relative to your intelligence level of course) would have told him they could not gather points faster than the time runs out, and thus his only job was to run away from said enemy ships and try and put that nice big island between him and them and run down said timer... so simple, so logical, so many less key strokes required, and yet, he decided on the one and only decision that could possibly result in a loss for his 7 person TEAM, what is even more shocking as we all know, this was a rank 5-2 bracket match, lord have mercy.
From my perspective, I don't see the captain of that ship running away anywhere quickly to hide. Needless to say, I agree that this person didn't think this completely through. Due to the fact, that just driving off, and staying unspotted would have not only kept the star he had, it would have most likely gain him a star, just for staying alive, and winning the battle. If my understanding of how ranked battle's works is correct.
Needless to say, it is why, I don't like leaving the victory for any battle, up to someone else.
Although, I will add that it would not surprise me, if at least one other both of these captains, started off playing, or still plays WoW Blitz, which is someplace to pick up some really bad habits. Even though that should not be the case. It is entirely possible.
Moreover, I would suggest before getting into any battle for the first time, it would be advisable to spend the time watching videos, and live streams of other people playing World of Warships. Furthermore, I would also suggest finding a battleship game like I did, that isn't World of Warships, and doesn't have the same setup and learning to play when there isn't anything on the line as you see here. I suggest battle of Warships which I believe can be played on PC, however, I have only played it on my mobile device. It is what I credit for helping me learn how to play warships in a environment that is simple and straight forward. Just you and possibly seven other players against seven other players (hopefully) on the enemy team. Nothing more than victory or defeat. No worrying about capture points, or losing a star in ranked battle's. Nothing more than needs to be for someone first attempting to learn to play battleship games.
Needless to say, one can always simply ignore advise, and go play a higher tier ship, and fail royally and end up in a Jingles video being made fun of or at the very least having your better judgement questioned. LoL!!!
However, from my perspective, I believe that the other team would have had time to track this captain down and sink them , due to the fact that that this ship isn't that quick or stealthy.
Everyone slagging off the guy that Free xp'ed to tier 10 on Pan Asian destroyer line. Almost as bad is the GK at the end. The amount of people who have played hundreds of games who STILL do not know how the points system works and that sometimes you need to kill a ship and other times you just have to stay alive is amazing! Had all kinds of idiots calling me all the name under the sun for running away from ships, only for me to survive against 4 enemies and win it.
YY was an idiot for not learning to play properly before going to Tier 10. But the GK doesn't seem to have the same excuse. Anyone who plays team based games and decides the hell with the team is a total wanker!
I think he can play, given his stats...it's rather just mind boggling how someone can have so many games under his belt with a more than decent WR and PR and still don't know how DWT work...

And some folks wonder why there is so much salt and rage in chat in this game? Its because of these players. Problem is that higher tiers are flooded these day with players that for some reason havent picked up any skills at all thru all the grind. They dont understand the game mode, they dont understand basic mechanics in the game and they dont know how to play their ships.
Why would anyone free XP all the way to T10 YouYang without having any clues about the line? Sorry, but I dont buy that BS, I actually think he grinded the full grind but just as many others at higher tiers these day he is still just clueless. Even if this was true that he free XP:ed all the way, didnt those 2 games in the Chung Mu show him what he can and cannot do with the torps? Even if this was the first line that he ever played in the game (which is impossible) shouldnt he know about the Pan Asian line and deep water torps just by seeing any video, website or anything about this game?!
I dont think IQ will drop after showing this video, I dont think IQ can drop any further. But I like this video because it shines a spotlight on the skill level of some higher tier players and also how far players with these skills can get in Ranked. "Just play enough of games ......... Just throw enough shit at the wall ........."!
There is a reason I given up on ranked 5-6 seasons ago. Atleast if you get 1-2 of these players in random you can usually carry them. Get 1 or 2 or even 3 of them in Ranked? Well good luck!
And to Jingles defence, if you ever tried to put commentary to a clip in a program like Adobe Premiere Pro, you look at a really small screen while doing that so I for one can understand why he misses the deepwater torp icons and "sometimes" ; ) gets the ships wrong.

The funny thing is that the YY player has pretty good stats...10k battles, 56% winrate and a "very good" PR isn't a sign of a bad player. Still mindboogles me how someone with that experience can -regardless of the question if he FXPed the YY or not- not know how DWT works...
Yeah, 10k battles and clueless to DWT?! But as I said, this explains a lot of my anger and rage towards high tier players. If they cant grasp the functions of DWT then why do I expect them to understand game modes, cap circles, smoke screens, angeling etc etc etc.
For me it took about maybe 1000 battles total to understand all these things for all the lines but I guess people learn at different speeds. But if you want to encounter these guys you usually find them in ranked or T8-19 games. Its really hard to not feel like a Elitist when playing higher tiers and im just above average at best.

The whole point of that being put in was for the poor sap who ended up carrying the team to the brink of victory and still losing, so that the "best" player would not lose a star. It is a good idea, I just dunno how this Fat Kurrywurst managed to get more points than Flambadass...
What Andrew Brown said is accurate. I have heard Flambass say similar things and the star actually makes it much better than before.
Gary Anderson II TL:DR; This almost happened in the only Ranked Battle I played last night, in my Derpitz. The idiot even cited this "top player doesn't lose a star" reason. He needn't have worried about that.
Longer: I pushed hard for the A point and kept out a DD thanks to my secondaries and support from rapid-fire teammates dealing with the DD, while I and a fellow BB traded shots at their BBs and a Cleveland.
We capped A and C and sunk their DD, but I died from pushing a bit too strongly and not being able to extricate myself -- rather than show a broadside to 3 BBs and a Cleveland, i just stopped and tried to reverse, but... DPM. So, I died before half the game had been played.
We had a Richelieu in this match who seemed to be very far from the action all the time, circling far away islands at C while the action was A -- and after initially accompanying me to A. So its coming down to the wire, but we're well ahead on points -- powering up from level-pegging -- and its their last ship -- an almost full-health Tirpitz -- vs our Cleveland, Rich, and a DD. Richelieu finally rejoins the battle finishing off their second last , an Edinburgh, then proceeds to steam out at almost full health in front of their Tirpitz -- broadside. The Tirpitz is coming around the island shielding our Cleveland, who is also broadside on, and could snatch victory from the jaws of defeat if he nukes both broadside ships. We're all yelling to not be broadside on, to get moving, but he's shifting into reverse instead of turning and he's got it under control.
Not so the Rich, who takes an absolute mauling broadside-on and refuses to turn or even answer us as he tries to head right for the last cap circle. All of us are yelling at him in chat; I even mention this video. He drops to ~3k health before the points reach 1,000 and we win, after much stress. Had the Tirpitz sunk him, he'd have reset the timer and been able to target the still-slowly reversing Cleveland bereft of his island cover.
And this fool says at the end, "best player on losing team doesn't lose their star."
He finishes in last place.
And despite me dying less than half way in, I am 4th place in the team.
And this is why you should not be allowed to free-XP your way past tier VI. Hey, that's a good suggestion. I'm gonna put it in Jingles' Discord server suggestions!

Linerunner99 - You are probably exactly accurate and correct. I can just imagine those who job it is to see what their customers suggest and as they scroll through reading them....I can imaging one hand on the mouse and one hand on their chin propping up their tired head on the desk and......chuckle at many suggestions. Not that they are all stupid (or maybe some are), but for no other reason than there are so many suggestions that are so different....so so so many different ideas and most of them they have already considered.
Easiest way to fix ranked. Remove rentals and REMOVE SAVE A STAR! The bulk of toxicity (I have found) has come from the number of people who refuse to play as a team and sit at the back sniping HE to farm damage for star saving. Remove save a star and then you HAVE to play as a team. Maybe the Unicums complaining about losing stars, should either carry harder, or give constructive comments rather than berating newer players. Also I do kinda agree that CVs are exponentially more powerful in competitive (7v7).
By removing the Save a Star BS, you take the focus off damage dealing, and back to playing the strengths of each ship and focusing on actual teamwork and winning. If you don't want to work as a team, then you don't get to rank out... deal with it.

Context needed. People say don't lose cap. Then say run. Just don't die. Instead he appears to go on the attack. Then, and only then does the sequence change to "stop" which saved him from the first batch of torps. Which, if he'd have run are unlikely to have been a threat.

i think the GK didnt do anything really wrong. He did like everyone does and played for himself, i think he would have died anyways, seeing as the yueyang could have kept him spotted for the worcester etc. And also like Jingles said the GK didnt most likely have the mod so how was he gonna know he'd win before he did the turn, and after that well he didnt have many options. Not like anyone can see the future.
Just flambass beeing typically salty that is all. So the biggest looser is definately the friendly Yueyang
that is just making excuses for extremely poor play. All he has to do is sail away and use islands to break cover where possible... Sure, the worcester can try to still rain down fire at him.. but becomes much less accurate at range then essentially point blank. He didn't run away and was less than 10 seconds away from winning.. running away would have easily won, not even close.

The most surprising thing is that the player has a 55% winrate and all his other stats look pretty ok. Given that they have played over 10k random battles you would expect him to know how game mechanics work for other ships, not just the one you currently are playing. Really strange.

Jingles! You nooooob! Those _were_ the Yueyang's torpedoes. They had the DWT symbol identifying them. The reason Flambass spotted them was beicause he was running hydro at the time.

Yeah its even worse at tier 8 where you see 4 Tirpitz per game and none of them know how to tank and instead proceed to fire at DDs 17km away missing every shot and when it comes to the last stand they Ram each other resulting in them saving a star and me in my USS Cleveland not getting anywhere due to these idiots despite doing 130k dmg and 2 kills in ranked. :( I hate ranked at least make ranked for non premiums.
I think thats why they made ranked 9 and 10. Also, I did buy a tirpiz early and I was TRASH. My W/R is still messed up because I bought a Tirpiz and played that like a jack ass, thinking it was cool. (what an idiot I was)
But I atleast watched the Flamu and Notser vids and had some idea. Just trash aim and zero battle awareness. I am a DD main now, so you are clear. ;)
@@Sean-xu5ti DDs are my gave class too aslong as there is 2 radar per game or I avoid it all together I sometimes Cruisers and battleships only to understand the game better I'm a free to play player so my dumb days were at tier 4 and 5 and maybe 6 by the time I got to the higher tiers I tank the enemy BB's like a boss.

To be fair, I have used deepwater torps against a DD. I sent one set at point blank range to spook him into turning out at tier 4. Otherwise, he would have had line of sight to reset a cruiser around an island with most of the cap points. That is a vanishingly rare use-case, however.

First, you can buy it for Steel not for iron.
Second. If someone have enough Steel already to buy it, that means they participated in Clan Battles every time.
I know, you can get Steel from supercontainer too. But the chance of a Supercontainer is small and even if you get it, it's just a small chance and you get only 1500 wich means you need at least 10 or more supercontainer only with Steel in it to get enough to buy the Satlingrad with the 25% discount. (I already got one Supercontainer with 1500 Steel, and with the ranked ones I have ~3100). ;)

Well im pretty sure that the G. Kurfürst: he prob. didnt look at the timer(or he didnt think he had enough time) and so his decisions were more logic becouse i doubt that a g. kurfürst can run from a yueyang and he hopped he would finish off the worcester first and then deal with the yueyang.

It would take me longer than the run time of this video to list all the times I've seen people snatch defeat from the jaws of victory this ranked season. And I type 85 words per minute. And I've only played 47 ranked battles so far.

My apologies, I thought the matchmaking engine selecting the players by their already gained ranks, and tries to put those players together, who are more or less on the same level in the ranking. Only for Ranked battles obviously.

Top reason I quit WoWs- window lickers who never learned their ships populate even the T10 ranks to the point I can't carry all of them on my teams. Losing is no fun when getting 0-9 or 0-12 defeats.
Next top reason I left- idiots like that Kurfurst. Manage to carry (with lots of help from 1 or 2 other solid players) the team to a Victory if just run away. Chat blows up to scream RUN AWAY. LIVE AND WIN. WTF ARE YOU DOING, WE HAVE THE WIN, JUST LIVE.
Did I make mistakes? Yes, Terp Torps were quite the embarrassing surprise.
Are there better players? Hell yes! I called them out at the start of any fight. FOCUS ******* he will wreck our world.

Stupid DD drivers that ruin matches? Gee, not like I dont see that EVERY DAMN RANKED BATTLE. Not like the deep water torps werent a massive up thine from WG to all BB drivers, but it also negates the role DDs are supposed to have with the way this game is built - spot and kill DDs. People whine that DDs arent OP enough while ignoring that DDs, when CVs arent around, are by far the most OP class in the game - lose or be down a DD, prettymuch guaranteed a loss. This is also why when sky cancer targets BBs and not DDs or enemy sky cancer, they invariably guarantee their team a loss. Current power structure in this game is CV>DD>CL/CA>BB. Of course, statpadders and WG leeches refuse to own up to this. In this specific match, that KurFurst never had a chance as he would of been permalit by that damn cloaked DD. Also, as usual, Jingles shits on a BB driver doing his/her best while ignoring just how broken the balance of this game is. And as proven by that LuYang comin round the bend he never ever had a chance.

I had written you some comments last week when you asked for questions, then wanted to underline an important point and lost everything. I never got back to rewriting my thoughts.
In yesterdays' Mingles with Jingles, you mentioned that you had submitted some questions/concerns and one was regarding Radar Mechanics. After watching Flambass hide his Worchester behind an island and use his radar, it reinforced my strong belief something has to change with Radar.
I am primarily a DD player at high tiers (IX & X), but take time to play CA & BB at mid tier (VI-VIII) It is very frustrating to get into a game with multiple Radar Cruiser (sometimes even DD & BB Radar ships). I go into a Cap in my stealthy Shimakaze (5.6km with Camo) and hide behind an island. I am detected by a CA hiding behind a different island. It's Radar travel through 2 island and I get pummelled. I'm either sunk or so badly damaged I have to hide the rest of the game. Not enjoyable and it is even harder with the Fletcher.
I have gotten so frustrated with the high tier games in a DD, that I have totally changed my strategy. I now try to spot ships and stay at least 10-12 km away from the other team, at least until late in the game. I don't or rarely CAP early in a game. Once the Radars have been used up or sunk, then I go after BBs with my Type 93 (6.4 km; 81 knot) Torpedoes.
I'm normally not afraid of other DDs, because I have great stealth and good speed to escape when necessary. Also those fast torpedoes work great on DD hiding in smoke screens. 15 bunched together are difficult to avoid, if your sitting still.
An Idea:
One new feature that I'd like to see added is that the Enemy Team is NOT displayed until your Team has actually detected the opposition. If this is added to a NON-Symmetrical Match Maker (i.e. One team BB heavy, while the other DD heavy) this could make for some interesting battles. Frist the need to scout out the opposition before determining how to attack them.

Jingles those torpedoes at around 8:00 we're the Yueyang's. You can tell because the icon for them is COMPLETELY DIFFERENT. ROFL.
But yea, in a situation where all you have to do is NOTHING it is far too common for players to do something entirely brain dead in an effort to throw the game, and it's infuriating every time.
Expect nothing - still be disappointed
Moral of the Story: Don't spend money on things you can't use, whether it's a tier (Whatever) premium, or free XP'ing that shiny new tier 10...
Because if you save up enough Free XP in WoT or WoWS without converting then you *probably* have at least an idea of how to use whatever it is you're going to be free XP'ing simply because of the time required to save up Free XP without boosters/conversion/flags/etc...
That is of course, assuming that the average player has enough intelligence to actually absorb their game play and learn from their mistakes...

I also believe it is a mistake to allow free exping 100%. Only let you free exp 50% or 75%, or perhaps 100% on the parts and 50% on the final large chunk for the next tier. You should be required to actually play all the ships (or vehicles for other game versions) you pass through. This would also make the "forget a line and grind it again" a real accomplishment, not just a 15 minute exercise in button clicking.
I remember one time in my Pan-Asian destroyer, I think it was t4 and I torpedoed an cruiser and a destroyer said “GET DOWN MISTER PRESIDENT!!!” and then the cruiser died as the torpedoes slammed into its hull and blew up he died
Is it just me... Or does something look wrong with flambasses first volly? he's aimed on a Cruiser the other side of the island... A DD appears to the right... He lets fly his shots (Still aiming at the Cruiser, re-aims at the DD, fires his second volly at that.... BUT! His first volly are now travelling towards the DD. He was 100% aimed at the Cruiser when he let fly the first volly... Check his aim point, the angle of his guns, yet they fly towards the DD????

The YuYang, for free XP'ing to t-10 and then going into ranked in a ship he doesn't know how to operate and charging into a cap. He cost his team his ship and totally entirely non contributed to the match.
The GK player.. Yup was he trying to bag a star at the end, but I gotta give props to the guys spidy sense at the end. He guessed correctly where the enemy DD was going to go, he just didn't have any HP left. He should have ran and he didn't. Typical ranked battle even on this side of the Atlantic (NA servers)
This is not a case of momentary sh!t to the brain. IMHO the YY player deserves all the crap he/she gets because to only have 2 PA DD games under your belt and then bring a YY into Rank 2-5 is nothing short of criminal. Also, the GK player has no excuse because he/she was told on many occasions to simply run away. The game was actually lost when the GK turned north and stayed between AB and C.
Definetely Flambass, because when u are at the brink of lvl 1 and u get such glue-sniffing, free-xpeing team m8s in tier 10 ships...idk, really

I've always wondered the purpose of things like level boosts and buying your way to the top. Unless you are a veteran that lost your account/are starting over, there's no reason.
Just remembered something. I had what once was a T6 American cruiser and, during a patch a while ago, turned into a T8. I was not happy. I've played less than 300 battles, probably far less. And now I'm a T8 with nothing down any other line besides my Wyoming and whatever destroyer I have.
The guy in the Grosser Kurfurst is a perfect example of your average tier 10 player and totally oblivious of the game objectives. Don't make the mistake thinking that this is uncommon, as it's not and I see it everytime I play the bloody game. Most ranked games I've lost are due to players not understanding the basic concept of domination mode and therefore throwing games away due to pure ignorance of what constitues a winning scenario !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's not fair !!!!!!!!!!!
