Something I have noticed as an English teacher is the grammatical tenses, which shed more light on the meaning. e.g. ....the Lord Jesus in the same night in which He was being betrayed ..... That last clause is past continuous, which means the betrayal was happening at the same time in which he broke bread. In the same moment. That makes a big difference. Another: "for what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world "AND" forfeits his soul. Not "BUT " forfeits his soul. There is no contrast there, but rather, there is a natural consequence . If you gain the whole world, the result is forfeiting your soul. Sorry for the long comment, but I just love this translation. -William
Great video! I'm a long time NASB95 user, but I got to admit I love LSB and I'm a big fan of the translation! It has become my favorite translation. Please 316, keep promoting it and keep producing more layouts of this amazing translation! Please don't take this small critique the wrong way pastors, the verse that was quoted at the end of the video - 2 Timothy 1:13, reads a little different than the NASB95, it's rendered "Hold to the standard of sound words which you have have from me, in the faith and love which are in Christ Jesus." That was one of the very few verses I thought that the translators could have kept. Retaining the word "retain" (pun intended lol) has a nice flow to it. 2 Timothy was one of the books that I have mostly memorized. Anyway, may Yahweh continue to bless your ministry.
Good presentation and interview with Gary Kim. I am always willing to examine different translations of God's Word! Have you brothers ever discussed the KJV Onlyists cult? I think this is critical. Most often, their comments are prideful and obnoxious, sometimes even hateful. Please discuss this cult and how to respond to their lack of love and grace. I hate to call them my enemy, but that's how they behave! I wish they'd grow up! 😔🤷♀️
I applaud the LSB for using YHWH in the English old testament. However - they fall short of my desire. I want them to use Elohim and Adonai in the old testament. I want them to use Kurios in the New Testament. Why not? This would clarify a lot of the generic words "god" and "Lord." Does anyone know why they did not automatically and naturally decide to not only only use YHWH but also use Adonai, El Shadai, Elohim, and in the NT Kurios.

Yes they have! Actually, it was pretty recently. You might like the episode they released just a few weeks ago with Dr. Mark Ward
