- This classic song from Arctic Monkeys has been much requested. In this drum video for The View From The Afternoon I break down the beats and fills you need to play the song. There's some quick 16th hi hat patterns and some great fills within those beats so there might be some stuff to practice, but it's definitely a fun one to play. Enjoy!

Matt Helders has been a true inspiring figure in my drumming and this step by step its spot on! Thank u so much!
He has a great and unique flavour of drumming 🤘
Been one of my favourite songs to play along to for ages. Great lesson!
That's spot on man! I would love for you to do more monkeys songs, especially their earlier songs. I like how you've broken the sections down; I also think it would be cool if you could actually build up the parts so its even easier to learn eg. start of with the bass drum pattern and then gradually add in the hi hats and snare ect.
+++++ !!!
Thank you, thank you, thank you ! You can't imagine how glad I am. You've helped me a lot through the years of practicing my drums, thanks for the cotisent you have and to always listen to the audience.
9:01 is the moment I realised I wanted to be a drummer. Before, when I listened to tunes I would always air guitar, but for this song I air drummer and ever since then I’ve loved playing drums. I’ve always been saying I’ll learn it some day in the future but now I got no excuses lol.
Plus the film clip! 🥁🥁🥁
Dude... your taste is on point!! Great song!!! Thanks! ☺️

That was great, your videos are always so helpful! I was wondering if you could do children of the grave from Black Sabbath? We chose this song with my band but now I don’t really know how to play it
Awesome video. Would you ever consider making a tutorial on shake me by cinderella?

Hey there, thanks for all the videos they've really helped me get back into it after a long break! May I ask which Roland model you've got here? I know nothing about e drums but really want to upgrade my tiny kit lol!
This is a Roland TD17-kv. It has all mesh heads but only basic cymbal pads. For a bit extra money they have the TD17-kvx which has upgraded cymbals and an extra pad.
The Roland stuff is generally good, just depends how much you’re using it and how much you are looking to spend. Otherwise Yamaha or Alesis are other options in e-drums too.
@@LearnSomeDrums This is extremely helpful thank you!!
Gday, I saw you’re based in Bris, and tried to contact through website for more info, are you still doing lessons?
Hey man! I was wondering, what website are you using to write the sheet music that you have in your videos? I am trying to do a similar thing, where I can just put a pdf link of my transcriptions in the descriptions of my videos. I have already done a couple transcriptions, but I've just been wondering what website you've been using because it seems to really work for your videos. Btw, can you do Green to Black and More Than Ever by Rebelution, and Find My Own Way, by Arrested Youth? I have been trying to learn those songs note for note for awhile, and something isn't clicking for me, and your videos are a big help. Thank you for all the amazing content, and I hope to memorize some of the more recent vids in the very near future.
I use an open source program called Musescore. Once you get used to it, it’s great for notating drums.
What model of training drum kit is this that you play on?
Roland TD17-KV 🥁
What drum set do you have? I'm interested in getting a set like that.
Roland TD17-KV. All the Roland stuff is pretty good, but I do like the mesh heads for a nicer feel.
Can you do your graduation by modern baseball please?
You should really do some Breaking Benjamin. I really want to learn dance with the devil by them.
I need to get back on acoustic kit and add some more cymbals to handle their stuff. I’ll keep it in mind though!
@@LearnSomeDrums Awesome 👍🏼 you should also do some more System of a Down I’ve been listening to them a bunch recently. Thanks for all the vids man they really help a ton!
