    I built my T10+ about 5 days ago and I’ve been riding to work and back (roughly 60 miles total) every day and I’m honestly never going to take the bus again!! Couldn’t ask for a better commuter!

      I just got mine and I feel the exact same way it’s surreal how good this bike feels.

    Got a Medeo T10+ a few weeks ago and I absolutely love it! I’ve had e-bikes before too. I put 10,000 miles on my Bionx 15 years ago. I always wanted a mid drive cause it can really pull you through the hills. Plus the weight of the bike is centered and lowered as opposed to a hub moto where the bike tends to be rear heavy. Also hub motors have a slight magnetic drag which you can avoid with mid drives. The Medeo T10+ has a 52 teeth front chain ring which is great to prevent you from overusing the smaller rear cogs. A couple of minor things I don’t like about the bike is that that my knee would occasionally hit the frame which has a bit of an edge to it. Also the pedals sit a little higher off the ground making it a tough reach for your feet if you like to position the seat so your legs are nearly straight when pedaling. I’m assuming they designed it like that to prevent the motor from hitting the curb.

    One of my top picks so far from my research, happy to see it get the New Wheel review treatment!

    I've been struggling deciding between the Medeo and the Ultimate. It's my understanding that the Ultimate has bit more upright riding position which I am interested in after 3 wrist surgeries and a neck surgery. I also cant decide if I want to upgrade to a class 3 motor. I'm 61 and retired and just use the bike daily for exercise and FUN! Ebikes have definitely been a game changer for me. Even after 2 years, I feel like a kid every time that motor takes me up a big hill cuts through the face of a stiff head wind!

      Hi Paul, have you had the opportunity to test ride both bikes? The Ultimate geometry is more active on the Class 1 models, and more sportive on the Class 3 models, but you can adjust the handlebars to achieve a slightly more active v. sportive posture on all bikes. On the speed bike side, the Medeo T10+ and Ultimate T10+ have a lot of similarities however, the Ultimate has a slightly more premium spec: different suspension fork offering 17 more mm of travel--Suntour Mobie 45 v. Suntour Mobie A32 NLO, Selle Royale v. DDK saddle, aluminum chain guard cover v. plastic chain guard cover, different grips, rims, etc. Both bikes are excellent and have the same motor system and battery, but the Ultimate is our absolute top-end bike with the most luxurious spec. If you're considering a speed bike, I would test ride both and see which you prefer.

    Speed aside, is the motor on the T10 powerful enough to get you up SF and Marin hills with minimal physical exertion? Or is the T10+ significantly more adept at that? Living in Marin, I'm reluctant to buy a Class 3 bike because of all the local laws, but I'm 60 years old and need something that will get me up these crazy paved hills without breaking a sweat.

      The T10 is definitely powerful enough. You can climb pretty much anything with minimal effort if you turn your power up to Turbo. You should definitely come in for a test ride and try it yourself!

    It’s ideal for the UK, too. You’d need to register it as a vehicle to go with the plus, though.

    I prefer this geometry to the Ultimate as I'd like something a little more sporty but the Gates belt and internal hub gears is non-negotiable for me. Derailleurs and chains are an anachronism on eBikes and hopefully tech developments over the next few years (integrated mid mounted motors and gear hubs in particular) will give us better alternatives.

      You can tweak the geometry of the Ultimate to make it more sporty.

      @@rickhorstik6814 Have you taken a test ride yet? Based on your height I'd probably lean towards a 45cm but you should definitely confirm with your dealer.

    How far can you probably go on model t10 flat ground. Before battery goes dead. How this compare to 2022 specialized vado 3.0?

    • @thenewwheel

      There are of course a whole lot of variables - headwind, rider weight etc - but we estimate maximum range at about 70 miles. There is the option to add an additional 500wh battery - dual battery setup - which would effectively double your range. In our experience the range on a Bosch bike is a bit better than Specialized.

    How does a bike like this ride without using the motor? Is it the same as a normal bike then you can have the pedal assist? Thanks! 😀

    • @tinabutler6281
      @tinabutler6281 3 роки тому +5

      Hi Megan, Gazelle bikes feel very natural to ride with a low rolling resistance, even with the motor off, however with the extra weight, you will definitely have to put in more pedal effort on inclines. Having the bike in Eco mode, the lowest support setting, essentially neutralizes the weight of the bike and makes you feel like you're riding a regular bike, in flat conditions. I definitely play around with my level of assist depending on the conditions: terrain, wind, cargo, etc. but I find I mostly use Eco and Tour and pedal happily with no support in flat conditions with a tailwind.
