The scenery is amazing! Gives a sense of realism. The rail alongside a highway/interstate is a real world thing too that adds to the overall scheme. Very impressive! If I can do a layout 1/10th as good as this one, I'd be happy.
Fantastic! Every scene is so believable I would forget it's a model. For a while at 8:40 the isle became a river in my mind the lighting and modeling is so good my brain couldn't see it as an isle. Amazing work - thanks for sharing!
This model is amazing!! I've never been to the places this is modeled after but I know what looks realistic and what doesn't. This is one of the most realistic models that I've ever seen. The contemporary buildings and streets look just like their real-world counterparts and I enjoyed this cab ride. Thanks for sharing this with us.
Wow, a real display of just how a skilled model railroad crafts-person can achieve a realistic layout. I can also think of the time and work put towards this top layout. Thank you so much for the enjoyment I had in watching the video.
I could swear I'm riding in the cab of a real extra. The only thing that gives it way is no radio. If he piped in a little radio chatter I wouldn't be able to tell which was which. Beautiful job, one of the best I've ever seen.
I had recently found those big hour long sets being shown on youtube and just started wishing i could see a cam in the cab view on one. LOL living not far from the area i have traveled there on highway. THIS is COOL. EXCELLENT trainwork. This was the first time ever experiencing anything remotely near being in a train after driving truck for about 14 years. Like i say. just awesome.
Omg it was so life like I was so mesmerized by the attention to detail and artistry of the painted walls and landscape I swore there wasn't a wall but real. Super cool. Keep going.
Brilliant, the blurring between actual and virtual horizons is really effective. When finished you will have trouble spotting the joins. One of the best!
Wow! Fantastic! I love your layout...incredible detail. I especially love the view. I felt like I was riding in a real locomotive. Thank you so much for sharing. I look forward to other great videos from you.
Great !!!! Sober, yet fully detailed scenery where it is appropriate, creating space where necessary. That mask eliminates a lot of ceiling and enhances a wide, panoramic look at the scenery without the disturbing effects of the wide angle lens. Isolated towns within wide spaced scenery : It feels like a 50 mile ride !! Superb !
Wow. this guy must have a pole barn back of his house, or rent a warehouse. Beautiful and detailed layout. I'd love to see him do a tutorial or two on landscaping - everything looks so natural.
impeccable - even preternaturally realistic - scenery and detailing. real artistry on display here. looks like photographs of an "idealized" real world - where everything was kept immaculately clean. damn. this beats even the world-famous Miniatur Wunderland in Hamburg Germany. as awesomely detailed as that showcase is - its scenes would never be mistaken for photos of reality.
The "stagings" are the staging yards under the layout where the trains originate and terminate. You can Watch the same video but including the staging yards here: ua-cam.com/video/VtX3Fmf63qg/v-deo.html
I virtually never post a comment. And I virtually never appreciate models of flatland and especially am no fan of the modern era. But this rescind,s or perhaps better said transcends fully all that . . . . this is how it is done, and my supreme compliments to all involved. The "feng shui", minimalism, use of (and transition into) backdrop, and virtually invisible choices as to compression of size (e.g: parking lots, Lowe's, etc.) is truly perfection . . . . . an overall "12" on a scale of ten, for sure. Kudos. (They say in fine carpentry that there is a zen concept of "intentional flaw" to prevent perfection which would offend the gods . . . . or something like that. That said, if I chose to wax cynical, I would mention the evergreens at 12:34 in the video . . . . . but don't get me wrong, this layout truly gives me reason to live and is nothing less than perfection.) ~ ~ ~ Some oldtime RR tunes: A little joke in memory of John Allen's G&D RR ("Nineteenth Nervous Brakeman"): ua-cam.com/video/I1KF6uvP74k/v-deo.html re: Gulf and Ship Island Railroad: ua-cam.com/video/tcLsdsMBacw/v-deo.html Jay Gould's Daughter: ua-cam.com/video/MQmN6mxk0Eg/v-deo.html Namaste
I love your layout! Most layouts are just a rats nest of track, but yours looks like real places that happen to have a railroad running pas them. If not for the ceiling of the room, your layout looks almost photorealistic! Amazing skills you have! I hope you'll make another video when you finish detailing the sections that are still under construction... Oh, and would you be willing to show your track plan?
Thank you for your kind comments. I am working on a coal train cab ride which will include the finished section through La Grange. Coming out in a month or so.
That is awesome. Thank you. I want to do a diorama of Donelson, TN where I grew up. The old L&N used to run on the tracks directly behind my old house. I grew up exploring the railroad tracks and the surrounding woods. Would be nice to have a mock up of the town like it was in mid 70's. I would have replicas of mom & dad's cars in the driveway along with my 69' Firebird. I have an L&N engine and several box and coal cars N-scale to get started with. L&N used to carry coal to the steamplants in Lebanon & Gallatin, TN.
Amazing. Where do I send the money for my ticket? This puts a whole different enjoyment into the hobby with a focus on the set, not the train. Little things like graffiti on bridge abutments added a real feel. The realism of the buildings and layout are exceptional. Although, I noticed is the towns are too clean no litter laying about. Thank you for making this.
Is this wonderful layout screaming “FALLER CAR SYSTEM!” to anybody else? Look at those long stretches of magnificent roadways. Imagine portions of it with moving vehicles that react to each other and to RR crossings. Mind boggling.
The attention to detail is just amazing. I was expecting to see an empty Coke can or abandon spare tire somewhere. In the real world you expect to see more trash and debris along the side of the track, in some of the industrial area.lol
As big as this masterpiece is only one train station???....Would love to see you run a Amtrak or UP heritage excursion train or even BNSF through there...
Great layout and thank you for the post. This is a very realistic layout. Watched your earlier cabride and this is an improvement except for the distracting cab window which is foggy on the sides and has some white glare on the bottom.
Extremely impressive to say the least ....Wonderful detail and there are parts that make you feel it's actually real...G'day from Tasmania , Australia... I'm building (trying to anyway) a transition era depiction of Santa Fe /BN to BNSF ..and having a ball but I will never achieve the mastery of yours...Inspires me greatly though ...Cheers...
The ONLY way this layout could be better would be going to Hamburg's Miniature Wonderland level no doubt out of the question and having moving road traffic ...Otherwise it's phenomenally realistic and an absolute work of art ...Cheers again ...
Here is a Where's Wally question. How many police cruisers are in the video? Good to see they are keeping law & order by being pro active!. Great video & layout.
Absolutely amazing. Layout junkee here, & I've never seen anything as sophisticated and realistic. Can't imagine how many geniuses and $$ were involved. Any specs available? GBU Per.

Looked at your N-scale catalogue. Can one buy the palm trees in a packet? Are they gauge-specific, or does one size do for all? I'm modeling Texas, also; Amarillo area to Brownsville area. Long-time subscriber.
This is the best track work I've ever see. The light is excellent, the signage is terrific, and overall realistic. Great job.
This layout is so sick! This is my first time seeing someone model contemporary buildings! Great work.
The scenery is amazing! Gives a sense of realism. The rail alongside a highway/interstate is a real world thing too that adds to the overall scheme. Very impressive! If I can do a layout 1/10th as good as this one, I'd be happy.

The camera work made me feel like a kid on Christmas morning back in 1983. What a 🎁 gift. To say this layout is incredible would be an understatement.
If there'd be Oscars to model railroading, you'd get at least 2. Terrific lay-out and ride :o)
This model is amazing!! I've never been to the places this is modeled after but I know what looks realistic and what doesn't. This is one of the most realistic models that I've ever seen. And that person STILL hasn’t gotten their taco order. 😁 Great layout!
Amazing! Easily looks like the real thing in so many locations.
*_FANTASTIC!_* The most immersive and realistic scenic-ing I've ever seen.
Brilliant, the blurring between actual and virtual horizons is really effective. When finished you will have trouble spotting the joins. One of the best!
Thanks for the cab ride around your layout,...enjoyed it!! Felt like I was on a real life railroad!
That is the coolest thing I have seen. Never new you could do this with a model. Total awesomeness.
Wow! Fantastic! I love your layout...incredible detail. I especially love the view. I felt like I was riding in a real locomotive. Thank you so much for sharing. I look forward to other great videos from you.

Love the consistent gradient of the track while the roads dip and climb. And the long parallel runs. Very nice!
This is an awsome model railroad! I love the semi's. Especially that Spread axle Reefer/ Pete.
That looks so real I was expecting to see the road traffic move.
Unbelievable scenery,Saw a 71 Lincoln Town Car, a 2006 Chrysler 300 . really enjoyed the ride. one of the most detailed HOLayouts I've ever seen
Don't sweat what you still have left to do; bask in appreciation of the fantastic work already done. Just OuTsTaNdiNg!!

Congratulations on your scenery, especially the greenery. And the random ballast among the ties is a nice touch too.
10 out of 10
Your layout is breathtaking, awe-inspiring, magnificent, wonderful, amazing, stunning, staggering, imposing, stirring, impressive; formidable, fearsome, mind boggling, mind-blowing, jaw-dropping, excellent, marvelous.
Rich P.Wow! A great model railroad, absolutely fun to watch.
Awesome layout. Thanks for sharing the video with the rest of us.
Will
Wonderful! Love Love the buildings. One of the best layouts I've seen.
Great layout! Very detailed, looks like the actual locations
Best cab ride I have seen so far. Great attention to detail, well done!!!
Awesome cab view. Very realistic. And I have experience in cab views (as my picture shows) when I say good job.
Layout looks like a blast to run and well built. Love the CTC. Keep it up. Some "How You Did it" videos might be in order.

excellent video, I saw it 12 times and I love it. Congratulations!
Great idea. Gives a view of the layout that normally would not be seen.
What a awesome layout! So we'll detailed. Glad I found this thanks for sharing your work.
This is a nice video. I like the quality work on the scenery and structures. The cab ride shows a nice scale perspective.
AWESOME!!! Your layout is top notch

A great layout. Clever way to give a cab view perspective. Well done.
Best cab ride in ho scale.... Great work!!!
4:54, what did you hit if the camera was inside the train?
The engine hit the sign at 4:54 and knocked the camera off center slightly
This is the best I have ever seen. For realism I will give you 100%.
Great video. Beautiful modern layout. Love the sounds.
Is this wonderful layout screaming “FALLER CAR SYSTEM!” to anybody else? Look at those long stretches of magnificent roadways. Imagine portions of it with moving vehicles that react to each other and to RR crossings. Mind boggling.
Nice placement and frming with the camera. I've never seen this but I think I like it very much. Nice layout...

Great layout and keep up the good work!
Awesome and realistic layout and cab ride. Thank you so very much for sharing this. Also I found this video so relaxing :-)
That cannot be Texas ! I didn't see one Whataburger on the whole ride. Now I am hungry. Beautiful layout
Very impressive. The girl tied to the tracks was a nice touch.
Dang, I missed the girl... gotta watch it again.
About 300' past the two dogs humping by the tool shack...
I watched it twice and I saw neither two dogs humping by a tool shed, nor a girl tied to the tracks anywhere.
Wow...the layout is awesome..thanks for sharing and keep up the great work.. Lance
Your scenery is quite believable and draws one into world.
Beautiful scenery and track work.
Amazing engineering, and a true work of art!
I need a smoke after watching! Man sooo realistic to the T. Thank you for your Van Gogh model!
Awesome layout. I like all the modern buildings
This layout deserves an A+!
As big as this masterpiece is only one train station???....Would love to see you run a Amtrak or UP heritage excursion train or even BNSF through there...
A wild taco bell appears
Great video. In fact I'm looking forward to more videos like this one and if you can do one at night.
Great layout and thank you for the post. This is a very realistic layout. Watched your earlier cabride and this is an improvement except for the distracting cab window which is foggy on the sides and has some white glare on the bottom.
Very nice planning, nice visual scenery, very realistic!

Cab Ride Through The Layout (Without Stagings) New Improved Version.
Incredible layout and footage....Thank you.
Wow, didn't even realize that was the wall at 1:50 until you crossed the street!
Awesome layout. Super video. Waiting to hear conductor call the signal.
Dollar Tree , CVS, Taco Bell ...wow , just unbelievable realism ! WOW !
Simply Remarkable,Over The Top !!!
I like all of the modern structures.
The ONLY way this layout could be better would be going to Hamburg's Miniature Wonderland level no doubt out of the question and having moving road traffic ...Otherwise it's phenomenally realistic and an absolute work of art ...Cheers again ...
Amazing video. I've seen some layouts where the cars/trucks etc move as well.
Where did you get the crossing signals seen at 1:27?
They were custom built by Tomar Industries.
This was extremely immersive
Here is a Where's Wally question. How many police cruisers are in the video? Good to see they are keeping law & order by being pro active!. Great video & layout.

Excellent!
