This is an extraordinary reading, one of the best I've ever heard, period; appropriately enough, for this radiating jewel of literature. I'm just 40 minutes in...
This is one of my favorite books.Always wanted a copy for my own collection. I have often looked for someone else who had read it but came- up empty. Never expected it to be in an audio book. Looking forward to listening
The only downside to the introduction is possible spoilers. However, I'm only 30 and I also find the introduction to be genuinely good ode to an otherwise unknown author to *my* generation. I also think whatever possible spoilers are hinted at in the introduction do not take away from the experience as a whole
Okay, so no one is going to just come across this at random. This book was released in 1937, you are likely here because someone sent you or you know exactly why you are here. If the former- get ready, it's a spectacular piece of Science Fiction.
Im listening to chapter 3 where some of the cultural and religous characteristics of the other men are described. Some things remind me remarkably of things currently unfolding here on this 3rd rock from our sun. Foreinstance, experiencing things virtually rather then in physical reality. Really struck me when you said the book was written in 1937.

@@PawnFischer I actually liked the introduction. Since it’s such an old book ahead of its time, I think it’s important for some context.

One of my favorite reads. Never thought of looking for it on audio until a few minutes ago. I'm pleased to find it.

thank you for saving me $15!!! god bless you!
Great narrator.
Andrew Wincott (sp?) does a great job here--just like I imagined the authorial voice. Thanks so much for the upload of this great novel.
