What I find genuinely interesting - and I'm not criticizing before anyone gets upset! - is that you hate the queen but still watch videos of her. Like there are LOTS of celebrities / public figures that I really don't like (for example, I can't stand Kanye), so the last thing I'd want to do is watch a youtube video of them. If I ever met the Queen I would treat her with the same respect I would have for any elderly lady still in a job. Apart from anything else we all have respect for our mother don't we ? Of course I would enjoy the cudous of meeting one of the most famous ladies in the world but the basic respect I give to all elderly ladies would trump anything else. I remember when my dad lived in the UK for post grad, a patient went to him. She was above 95 but she was so jolly and free it didn't feel like she was. Plus according to dad she had alot of make up on. At the end when she was leaving she asked my dad "Am I old doc? I'm not old" so probably all the Europeans have good genes

I think she's lovely and has a great sense of humour. That line alone shows that she's human and anyone can talk with her.
She looks splendid. Exquisite dress. It is not just joking, at a certain age one is quite aware that one cannot take for granted that there will be a tomorrow.
I am now 75 and since quite some time I awake many mornings and say to myself "Oh, I'm still here" then smile and go on with my day. Somewhere about 70 one realises they have passed their sell by date and what follows is only a gift or sometimes a curse ............
For so many Queen Elizabeth is a grandmotherly figure and only know her as an elderly woman. I sill remember her and see her in my mind as that young, stunning and quite determined woman steering a course through calm and stormy seas.
All the controversies surrounding the UK royals notwithstanding, one fact is unmistakable -Through her reign, QE II has been the bedrock, the strength and the spine of the family, the dynasty and the country itself. She is one iron lady you don't want to mess with. One of the most inspiring persons of our times!

From any perspective The Queen is an extraordinary lady , over 50 years service as head of state carried out with dignity whether Irish or English or anyone it is easy to admire a person who has done a remarkable job and is recognized all over the World instantly recognizable , and has a terrific sense of humor as demonstrated here
