Yes, the quality looks really good. I am certainly going to look for the girls' denim backpack for myself to use this fall. As for the AG 18' outfit, it's a yes for me! 👍🏽
I love the new doll outfit! Like you said, it has great mix and match potential and a lot of nostalgia for me as GAP was IT when I was in High School! It’s a little $$$ for me since I don’t have any rewards at the moment but maybe some day.

I have noticed that AG is using a lot of Asian girl models. I hope this means we might be getting an Asian doll. I do like this outfit. Wish it came in larger sizes. I could see high school and college girls wearing the hoodie.

I absolutely love it and ordered one right away with my rewards. I wonder if this really is limited quantities? They said that about Love Shack Fancy and those outfits were around forever. But isn’t it so strange to do a collab and only have ONE doll item available? Has that ever happened before?
I think with LSF they overproduced + the brand isn’t as famous or iconic as GAP. I know Barbie x GAP collab sold within weeks, but i think Barbie has a larger fan base.

This is DEFINITELY the vibe I wish AG would offer from their own line instead of having to do collabs. But I’m very happy to see this. This items feel SO versatile and that plays a big part in what I choose to purchase from them. It is a lot price wise, but the items, to me, are worth it. I will definitely be trying to get my hands on them. But it confuses me as to why AG can’t offer similar items (especially the shoes.)

I'm not even that fond of the GAP logo on everything...but I'll gladly take it over what AG is currently offering. I think you said it best. These items feel classic but casual without feeling too posh.
With the amount of adult collectors they have a neutral or more simple line of clothes would sell so well tbh. Even bundles of plain colored tees, and basics would.

The sweatshirt, socks, and sneakers will work for Boy dolls as well. They should've made the matching Backpack for dolls instead of a Tote Bag. I'd wear the hoodie if they sold it in Adult sizes. And I buy the matching Backpack, also if it were for adults

In my personal opinion I think it is baffling how American Girl still seems resistant to acknowledging its adult fan base, especially when adults are the ones actually making the purchases. It's clear that there is a significant market for adults collectors Yet, instead of embracing this demographic, American Girl appears to be focusing primarily on its younger audience. This is not only a missed opportunity for increased sales, but also a disappointing oversight in recognizing the loyalty and dedication of their adult customers. What annoys me the most is Mattel who owns Barbie has successfully capitalized on nostalgia and grown with their audience by releasing clothing in not only children’s sizes but also women and men sizes. Furthermore, with barbie I can walk into almost any store and buy merch. I just can’t understand why Mattel won't do the same with American girl, it’s like they don’t want our money!
I get the frustration because I'm a bit frustrated too ..but compared to Barbie, AG doesn't have the same adult fan base. This brand is aimed at children and pretty much always has been. I do appreciate that they do events for Berry members and those are more adult collector oriented. However as far as creating items that are aimed at adults (aside from their Amazon store tees and hoodies) I don't see that ever happening. Even their stores are geared for children and giving them a great experience. I'm just happy to ever feel included in any way when it comes to American Girl. Makes my young heart happy.
A lot of 10 plus girls are much bigger than a size 12 so they would just be including larger kids and teens as well as adults with bigger sizes!! I would have bought it

We are going to the NYC store soon, and I don't want to blow my budget if collector dolls are coming soon. Are we getting another Barbie AG doll? AG was heavily hinting at more Disney dolls, and it makes sense for them to be limited edition, just like last year, but we have no new info, so it’s just a guess. Same with their traditional holiday doll. They might release then later in the year because GOTY 2025 gets releases in September, but I feel like we are getting LE dolls as soon as this week? Or at least in August. As for Barbie, the creator from Selena’s Glamours Dolls attended last year’s Barbie convention and she said we are getting another LE Barbie doll and a Barbie themed collection, that’s all I know. Sorry, I couldn’t be of more help.

AG fan base is smaller. I am doing my best here, encouraging other adult AG collectors, so maybe at some point AG will give us more than a T-shirt…
