I agree with you that Lila's collection is rather lackluster so if I do get her I don't plan on getting anything other than the doll, but I won't be getting her until after Kavi gets her full year! I love to take pics with my dolls, so it’s good to know that Lila might need a bit of restyling with travel. I love the Marie Grace face mold and Kavi is living out little me dreams 🥹❤ plus I love playing with the hair, so leaning a bit more towards Kavi for sure! Like you said Lila will be here next year 🎉
I got both as an adult collector! I just got Lila when you got 4X the points!Score! I will use those dollars to get some of the Christmas items! I love Lila's freckles! I did get all of her collection with the exception of the horse and stable,they don't interest me! I like her collection! I also love Kavi and got all of her clothing!

Hi Kris, I think your video camera is great. You look amazing-- you're glowing-- so nice looking. I am definitely feeling Kavi for a gift to myself. I LOVE Lila's meet, but I generally end up not loving GOTYs very much, so I only get the ones that I think have very special features, and MG mold is one of my favorites. I wanted her hair to be JET BLACK, no part-- so that made me sad at first. But I'm getting her. Great video!

However, you made it clear that there are problems with her wig. Mine has a full inch in the back -- no long hair -- short baby hair only. It looks like the machine missed at least 2 rows of wefts. So come Tuesday, I'm heading to the store and getting a different one. Thank you so much!!!!
Oh no! Just purchased Lila online as my first “ new American Girl doll”. Now you say not a good first choice? Wanted the “year doll” to remember when I started buying them. Lol. She’s actually my second as I just purchased a pre~loved 2014 older dress Samantha on eBay from a local seller 🇨🇦🇨🇦we don’t have any AG stores here ….. I’m a mature collector and don’t plan on messing with her 😮hair, just dress her more stylish in a Parisian look to display in my walk in closet. Great content. Thank you!

But she looks just like me and I love her so much And I really connected with her Kavi I like too I love her hair and her story especially the wicked stuff. I love both of these Kavi and Lila and they are both gorgeous! Now if I had to pick just one it would be Lila! Kavi is definitely more simple. Without the outfit she looks a little more plain. I have a few dolls that look just like her, I mean literally, Dark straight hair and brown eyes. I love everything about Lila!

I don’t think I’ll be getting Kavi as I’m not a huge fan of the Marie-Grace mold. I love Lila because she looks a lot like Evette, who is absolutely stunning and gorgeous 😍 and I love her dimensional hair with the highlights. I don’t like any of the outfits in her collection though, except her meet outfit. Kavi has a much better outfit collection IMO. I bought her meet outfit off of eBay and now it’s Maritza who is wearing it 😂 I also want her performance and yoga outfits! Kavi’s got great taste in clothes.
Yes this!!! Evette has a certain magic to her that made me fall in love with the painted lashes and Lila has that same exact spark in her look she’s soooo gorgeous.
I have both but Kavi is stunning and stands out the most. I love Kavi’s outfits more than Lila’s. There is nothing like Kavi in her Bollywood outfit. Lila is a beautiful doll but her outfits are okay. She’s a lot of pink. I love them both but I love Kavi and her story and collection more.
kris ive been binging all ur videos haha but! im not sure if you have already done a video like this in the past but how did you get your lilas hair like that!!? i wet the hair brush it out and then twist the curls to the left and pin the girls to her head for a couple hours. is there a better way to get her hair like your dolls?
Kavi is definitely more unique. I could be wrong, but I think she’s the only doll with that face mold and exact skin tone combo. My daughter who is three plays with Kavi, and when she’s done with her a quick brush through her hair (her meet style is out) and she’s just about as good as new. She’s great to travel with especially to NYC. Her collection is so unique. After watching the video I’m a little worried about my Lila. I picked her out in person at the NYC store. Took me a little bit to find a good one, but I did. Then I wanted to get her hair braided at the salon because you know her logo is a braid. So I guess when I take the sweetheart braid out I’m going to have some work to do. I was traveling a bit with Lila after I bought her. The employee who did her hair at the salon gave me a hairnet and that helped a lot. So if you are traveling with her, then maybe try a hairnet. I also put my dolls in a pillowcase in my backpack to try to reduce damage to the dolls. When I travel with two dolls, I don’t use the AG doll carrier. To me Lila’s collection is kind of meh. Not worth my money to buy any of it really. I didn’t even get her accessories. But I’m sure kids in the Target ages that do gymnastics or ride horses are aspire to do one or both will enjoy it.
I have 12 American girl dolls and number 12 is miss Lila Monttnelil who is my Christmas present from one of my aunts mind you I am almost 20 years old and she is my second curly haired American girl doll they’re all like my children too me as I have been collecting them since age 7

Kavis meet outfit is not my favorite. I didn’t end up loving her until I saw her with another outfit on. I do like the pants though
