I just dropped a 64 g2 in my 02 duramax with new 75 over Injectors and manifolds and up pipes with a bigger cp3. This setup is fantastic I feel bad I dodnt get the 67. Lol great job guys this thing rips.
I'm curious of the reliability of the factory IHI shaft between the 2 compressor wheels being much heavier and potentially spinning more rpms? That's the problem I'm running into with all the factory housing builds I've used/seen.
I seriously wish I could just drop my truck off with you guys. Bone stock 2002 lb7 I just got it. But because of budget and I live in California. There's not much I can do to it. Only thing I got going is I don't have to smog in my county
I have an 01 but I put in a lower mileage 04 LB7 just had to reuse my Y bridge, IC piping, front cover for the accessories, harness blah blah anyways stock internals, stock injectors and stock cp3. I only have a liftpump, built trans, intake, and exhaust. I have the Spade king with trans tuning, would I need new tuning to run this? Would it be better to just go for the 64? Would the stock fuel act as a barrier so it wouldn’t get passed maybe the 600ish mark and clean it up a bit (not that it’s too smokey or anything)? Just looking for a fun street truck not interested in building it into a drag build or a sled puller.
It depends on the ECM. If you are using the original ECM, it should be fine. New ECM would require a new license and tune to match the VIN. I would strongly suggest the 64G2 for your build. No tune adjustment required for that. If you start dropping rail pressure the truck will smoke, but if the fuel system is healthy it should run really clean with our tuning (regardless of 500 or 600 RWHP being made).
I really like the idea of this turbo but I don't know if a twin kit would work better for me. I don't sled pull I'm not worried about any class rules or anything. I tow, I race my buddies, and I 4 wheel a lot where low rpm torque is needed more than anything else unless I go mudding. Any info would be greatly appreacitated
You can run this turbo on a stock truck. But if you want more power, a built transmissions, custom tuning, bigger injectors & CP3, intake, lift pump, traction bars, IC pipes, up-pipes, head studs, and a few other upgrades would be needed depending on how much power you want.
It depends on your altitude, but here you can check out the spec sheet. cdn2.hubspot.net/hubfs/1747108/Stealth/LB7%2067G2/LB7%20Stealth%2067G2%20Spec%20Sheet%201.0.pdf
@@mufffarms a Twin kit will always net the lowest EGTs. Again though we would like to stress that 1300 - 1400 degrees for a very short amount of time and under wide open throttle, is totally acceptable.
We dont usually run turbos in parallel. We compound them, so this would stay in the valley and you put an s488 over it. That would be good for 1,000 + HP for sure.

Sharp production gentlemen.
I am going to do this set up on my beautiful 01 GMC Sierra 2500HD and save the twin for the next truck... a dully :) ha
Nick.....great videos/information. Any clue when tuning will be available for 2017/2018 duramax?
Thank you and no ETA at this time.

This is one of our most popular 67G2 RPOs and have not had those issues.

What do you recommend is needed to support this turbo?

How long is the install for this?
Generally 6 hours.
will this lower egts with 2004 lb7 with 65% over injectors
It should, depending on the operation and condition of the truck. How high of EGTs are you seeing now?

Could you run this turbo with stock injectors, stock internals, and stock trans?
Absolutely.
Can I put two of these on my truck and get a reliable 1000hp turbo system? How much lag would there be? Would it still be good for all purposes?

How much does this 67 turbo cost?
Does that turbo work in the LBZ?
We have a VVT version available. The video for it will probably be out in the next week or 2.
Sweet that what I’ll be waiting for
I’m looking to purchase the stealth 67 g2 in a week or two, is this safe or at least mildly safe to run on stock internals?
Yes, we would suggest a tuner that knows how to keep you safe with it though.
Would a edge.aptitude tuner keep it safe
Would the 67g2 be a good turbo for an lb7 thats an everyday driver but hauling heavy loads once or twice a week?
