Afaik, according to leaks sub There is no Ether character again till atleast 1.4. That's pretty important cases for Zhu yuan value. In other hand Ellen with Miyabi coming will definetly feel little bit rough. And imo Qingyi will probably the most universal out of every Limited character that have been shown. You always need Stun character for normal setup (dps+Stun+Support). Except you play anomaly setup. Zhu+Qingyi+Nicole should be strongest teams or atleast on par because that is the most expensive teams who work perfectly (2 limited)
Zhu Yuan can be paired with any Support character for her Core Skill as it's "Support or Faction", not "Attribute (Ether) or Faction" like all the other characters. Makes it possible to do things like Lucy + Koleda, Lucy + Ben, Rina + Grace, Rina + Anby or even Rina + Lycaon with her.
@@jacobseil7996yeah ain't no way you can't use her when she is currently the only good ether support atm and a very good one at that especially for crowd control and pretty good damage. She definitely helped me a lot when I still don't even have a proper DPS yet.
True but nicole is the best ether support and faster at giving assist attack than the other support. Rina just feels clunky and slow to play, soukaku’s spin takes too long, lucy without m2 takes too long for the homerun to hit.
I don't know why you didn't mention this given that you're perfectly fine with sharing leaks, but Seth (the A-rank Electric Defender releasing in 1.1) is perfect for Jane Doe. His whole kit has synergy with Anomaly characters, making for an amazing supporting character in Disorder teams. You're likely going to end up picking him up on Jane's banner, so the two best teams for Jane as a DPS would either be Mono-PubSec (Jane, Qingyi, Seth) or Double Anomaly (Jane, Grace, Seth). In regards to Jane as a more supporting role in teams, Seth's value will greatly decrease. But regardless, he's worth considering if you intend to use Jane as a DPS.
this is propably the 1st game that i dont care so much about how much dmg a unit does but i really care about how the unit "plays"!i really love the battle gameplay on this game,even tho its short af,and i kinda like the "tv gimmic" they have except the damn "dark"/lights off parts they have in some missions,i str8 up h8 those parts to the point of thinking of quiting....it ballances out with how dope the battle is tho. zhu yuan seamed similar to grace to me till i played as her in ch2(or 3,idr) in story mode,she s really fun to play with
Now this seems like coping but, I highly suggest Zhu Yuan being the best pick because there's no more ether unit for some time, her dmg output rn maybe not the highest but when qingyi arrives, she will greatly improve due to 60% additional stun dmg, better with signature and/or m1. Then either wait for S rank support or wait for Ether anomaly because Ether anomaly while not huge but has huge total% than other anomalies other than shock(yes it's 10sec that makes it high) but I'm taoking about ether and shock disorder that doesn't need that amount of time but triggering disorder quickly as possible

Since you mentioned QingYi's value crossed path with Anby (Both are Electric-Stunner) Jane Doe being Physical-Anomaly, also crosses path with Piper's being Physical-Anomaly Piper shared the same faction as Lucy (Fire-Support) that could also buff ATK up So if you already have Piper builded up, Jane Doe priority become slightly lower... Because Piper already cover the Physical-Anomaly Except of course if you want her
Jane's value does not become lower even if you have Piper. Assuming her passive remains the same, she'll essentially be the core of almost every single anomaly team moving forward. Ideally you want 2 anomaly characters, one phys and one from other element so you can get the best of both assault and disorder, Jane pairs with every single anomaly character they release in the future, meanwhile Piper only really has one option which is the calydon fire anomaly girl
That happend to me too but reverse I got 3 S ranks that don't work together well at all. You have 1.5/3 of three separate teams there. Jane Doe and Qingyi is what I'm pulling for a Nekomata Team. Qingyi and RIna would be good for a future Electro dps or a dps that wants both stun and disorder. And Lycaon Soukaku are the meta pick for Ellen. If you still have the 300 pull selector I would use that for Lycaon that team sounds busted and will carry you well past end game. I don't think you would ever have to replace that team unless they make a more broken S rank ice support that does Soukaku's job faster.
Based on how they are releasing characters, I think my plan is to save till at least 1.2. This should mean I will have enough Chromes to grab 2 chars and a W-engine when another faction is being fleshed out: Section 6, Sons, or even V Idol or whatever else they come up with.
If your f2p I suggest skipping on getting W engines until you build up your character roster More but it is your currency in the end so you can do what you want

I held out spending my currency from pulling on Ellen's banner until I saw more people play her and give their verdict. Then I got to try out Zhu Yuan on the main story quest and omg I fell in love with her playstyle. She may not have the highest dps potential due to a lack of Ether synergies but, if played right, you could pull off a no hit run with her, even if she's not equipped with anything. Her agility, attack animations, and dodge mechanics make her almost impossible to hit... except maybe for late boss situations where the entire screen gets nuked and you have to be forced to spam your dodge charges.
7:39 As a whale, yes this is possible. More so the role play aspect of having all 4 of them of the same faction just feels good. However I'm not going for them as I have other gacha games at the moment. My priorities are the Sons of Calydon, Virtual Idols, more members of the Victorian House Keeping (vampire guy).
Imo its an action game you can make up for a weak unit with enough skill and it doesnt seem to be so hard that I need to chase meta I will just pull for the characters I like the look and feel of.
i would also expect a bangboo for the pd characters at some point. thats something to keep in mind. I find the bangboo specific to factions hold a bit more value than general ice, electric etc. hold on to your boopons unless theres one you really want because these are fairly difficult to get. i think the stat stick bangboos are kinda lacking. imo
Skipping 1.1 entirely and pulling on Zhu Yuan The 1.1 characters are an electric stunner and a physical anomaly But we already get Anby and Piper as 4 stars who are both amazing already
I think its still possible to get her if you grind, however I dont know if you put in the time already or not. The game offers a lot of rewards at the moment and Im sitting at 44 master tapes right now. I dont know if Ill reach the required amount but Its worth a try. Idk if u know but when you pull a standard S on a limited banner the next S you pull will be the character featured on the banner, so Elllen.
I didn’t get Ellen from her banner 50/50 but honestly Zhu yuan seems awesome to play so I’ll try to get her Not really sure if I need the other two since I’ve got Anby and Piper who can do their roles fine
as of right now miyabi is the only character i want so ill be saving for her which is not hard at all i played genshin since day 1 and didn't summon until ayaka came out

I'm definitely pulling for Zhu Yuan, skipping Qingyi even though I want her too and preparing for Jane Doe. I think I'm 16 wishes away from the guarantee. I'm trying to get Zhu Yuan's engine as well. If I hadn't put so much into Anby and Koleda already, she's an easy skip for now.

I don't know, I feel like you would probably not be skipping Zhu Yuan if you wanted to roll for Qingyi down the line too, they might have great synergy. Jane Doe is probably the better option to save for if you're skipping Zhu Yuan since I think she seems more unique and she'll have her own niche unlike Qingyi, who is probably just gonna be Anby 2.0 and good stunner unit number 4
I honestly do not understand his suggestion of that team. It has terrible synergy. 2/3 team passives and double status build? The only damage you'll be doing with two sub dps's and a support is the disorder procs. For high efficiency you want 3/3 with a dps, their status support and a multiplier support. So for 3/3 either a mono team, a canon team or, half n half 2 canon 2 element. Honestly I'm pulling for Jane doe for Nekomata. they're both physical so that's 2/3 then either another cunning hare or one of the police group. Preferably a stun character. So Nekomata gets increased damage against enemies that have assault proc'd and stunned enemies. So Nekomata, Jane Doe/Piper, Qingyi/Anby. Rina is good on any team but as of right now you really want a mono Grace Rina Anton team. Rina and Grace buff Electric damage and status and penetration by a lot. Anton there is the weak link as an A rank but there are cheese tactics with him that have pushed the highest level content in the game 20 levels below the recommended level.
@@dragonwazI assume it likes party with Grace Lucy/Rina Piper, i usually use this team. Just go for shock proc with grace then got the buff from lucy and last attack with Piper while enemy shocked. Its quite fun and easy to play imo. Jane doe seems like replace for Piper. If u use Rina it easy to proc shock and doing physical anomaly + disorder. cmiiw

Jane and Nekomata are not gonna work together, Jane's additional ability doesnt work based on elements, you either need an anomaly or another pubsec member, not to mention she'll be fighting nekomata for field time. Her actual core passive won’t activate with Nekomata and double Phys has zero synergy as Jane's other passive requires a DoT(Shock for example) to be on the target. Jane is literally all about disorder comps. Maybe read her kit and you'll understand that Grace and Rina/Seth will be her best team. 3/3 passives btw, just say you suck at playing disorder teams.
@Shunazo417 Love how everyone tries to make the point that "they'll be fighting for field time" when Nekomata has a 6 second damage window and aside from that ideally wants to be attacking stunned units for max dps. One of her cons is literally how small of a window she gets high dps compared to characters like Ellen. Really do not understand why you think "double physical has zero synergy" every single team wants to be either mono element, mono faction or double element and double faction. Nekomata's kit herself wants stunned enemies who have assault proc'd. It takes a lot to proc assault without an anomaly character. Let alone proc stun and assault as close together to get a full 6 second damage window on Nekomata. I will say, now that her kit is actually out to see, that yes, Jane Doe's kit is based on anomaly teams. She'd still work with Neko, just not as synergistic on her team as I had hoped a physical anomaly character's kit would have been. Rina still wouldn't fit that team though. Your suggestion of Seth makes more sense. It'd be Seth or Qingyi for that team. I love the look of Seth's kit and that anomaly proficiency on shielded swap in looks good, but the jury is still out on Tank characters in this game and it is really hard to top the %damage multiplier that stun characters give to stunned enemies.

Wanted Nekomata and got Lycaon and Koleda and the Big booby maid. I just want the cat. Lycaon has been a blessing though because I knew I wanted Ellen. So it worked out for him, but the other two I can't say so. Qingyi is almost a must pull but Jane for sure is a must..
I somehow got both grace and rina (lost 50/50 w ellen) so i guess ill be going for Jane, mono electric is decent so far but I just need to make one more team for endgame 😭
For me i will go for Zhu yuan, for shiyu defense, elemental varieties is quite important for a smooth clearing experience. We most likely do not need QingYi because everyone have Anby. If you have Piper, you ptobably don't need Jane Doe. For me personally, I would also want Jane Doe because she is so thicc!
Probably just gonna pull for Zhu Yuan honestly. I waited too long for a character that I liked on Honkai which every youtuber was calling OP but by the time it released I wasn't interested in the game anymore and started playing other stuff lol not gonna make the same mistake again. Its better to get a character that you find fun now rather than not enjoying the current game, saving up for "meta" characters and dropping the game by the time the banner comes out.

Alright in my case this really bad situation, i lost 50/50 on Ellen banner and have dead weight i mean Soldier 11, and i have Grace (so Jane is gonna be skipped) but the problem is, that i don't have normal DPS character (i will not play on soldier 11, don't even try convince me about it, for me she's not) and I only have 1 day and need to get 20 pulls for Ellen, otherwise im fucked)

I humbly say I've been lucky in my pulls so far, I'm currently sitting on a full freeze (Ellen/Lyc/Sou) and a Phys anomaly (Neko/Piper/Lucy) teams with an extra 120 pulls on the waiting and a pity buildup of 20 pulls. Still, I'm seriously considering trying my odds and pulling for her to have more options for team building (specially when you have a guaranteed element res on certain stages of Shiyu defense). She's fun and versatile, and the fact that there won't be any more ether-based dps for a while becomes a big selling point. That being said, I MADLY want Jane Doe lol, and the idea of losing out resources AND losing the pull kinda bugs me Any advice before jumping in the hollow?
Probably either Jane Doe or skip all three. I had very bad gacha luck and only have a single 5 star by now, so I think I'll focus the standart banner for now till I like a character more.

That happend to me too but reverse I got 3 S ranks that don't work together well at all. You have 1.5/3 of three separate teams there. Jane Doe and Qingyi is what I'm pulling for a Nekomata Team. Qingyi and RIna would be good for a future Electro dps or a dps that wants both stun and disorder. And Lycaon Soukaku are the meta pick for Ellen. If you still have the 300 pull selector I would use that for Lycaon that team sounds busted and will carry you well past end game. I don't think you would ever have to replace that team unless they make a more broken S rank ice support that does Soukaku's job faster.

Based on how they are releasing characters, I think my plan is to save till at least 1.2. This should mean I will have enough Chromes to grab 2 chars and a W-engine when another faction is being fleshed out: Section 6, Sons, or even V Idol or whatever else they come up with.
If your f2p I suggest skipping on getting W engines until you build up your character roster More but it is your currency in the end so you can do what you want

I held out spending my currency from pulling on Ellen's banner until I saw more people play her and give their verdict. Then I got to try out Zhu Yuan on the main story quest and omg I fell in love with her playstyle. She may not have the highest dps potential due to a lack of Ether synergies but, if played right, you could pull off a no hit run with her, even if she's not equipped with anything. Her agility, attack animations, and dodge mechanics make her almost impossible to hit... except maybe for late boss situations where the entire screen gets nuked and you have to be forced to spam your dodge charges.
Not me pulling Ellen right before getting to try Zhu Yuan and her Gun Fu.

Imo its an action game you can make up for a weak unit with enough skill and it doesnt seem to be so hard that I need to chase meta I will just pull for the characters I like the look and feel of.
From what we’ve seen, we wont be getting Ether dps in a long time. So I’m gonna get her just to have element coverage, also i like her gameplay
i would also expect a bangboo for the pd characters at some point. thats something to keep in mind. I find the bangboo specific to factions hold a bit more value than general ice, electric etc. hold on to your boopons unless theres one you really want because these are fairly difficult to get. i think the stat stick bangboos are kinda lacking. imo

I think its still possible to get her if you grind, however I dont know if you put in the time already or not. The game offers a lot of rewards at the moment and Im sitting at 44 master tapes right now. I dont know if Ill reach the required amount but Its worth a try. Idk if u know but when you pull a standard S on a limited banner the next S you pull will be the character featured on the banner, so Elllen.

Bit minor, but also worth noting that Resonaboo is insanely strong even on off teams and will only get stronger having a Zhu Yuan / Nicole pairing.

I don't know, I feel like you would probably not be skipping Zhu Yuan if you wanted to roll for Qingyi down the line too, they might have great synergy.
Jane Doe is probably the better option to save for if you're skipping Zhu Yuan since I think she seems more unique and she'll have her own niche unlike Qingyi, who is probably just gonna be Anby 2.0 and good stunner unit number 4

I honestly do not understand his suggestion of that team. It has terrible synergy. 2/3 team passives and double status build? The only damage you'll be doing with two sub dps's and a support is the disorder procs. For high efficiency you want 3/3 with a dps, their status support and a multiplier support. So for 3/3 either a mono team, a canon team or, half n half 2 canon 2 element. Honestly I'm pulling for Jane doe for Nekomata. they're both physical so that's 2/3 then either another cunning hare or one of the police group. Preferably a stun character. So Nekomata gets increased damage against enemies that have assault proc'd and stunned enemies. So Nekomata, Jane Doe/Piper, Qingyi/Anby.
Rina is good on any team but as of right now you really want a mono Grace Rina Anton team. Rina and Grace buff Electric damage and status and penetration by a lot. Anton there is the weak link as an A rank but there are cheese tactics with him that have pushed the highest level content in the game 20 levels below the recommended level.
@@dragonwazI assume it likes party with Grace Lucy/Rina Piper, i usually use this team. Just go for shock proc with grace then got the buff from lucy and last attack with Piper while enemy shocked. Its quite fun and easy to play imo. Jane doe seems like replace for Piper. If u use Rina it easy to proc shock and doing physical anomaly + disorder. cmiiw

Jane and Nekomata are not gonna work together, Jane's additional ability doesnt work based on elements, you either need an anomaly or another pubsec member, not to mention she'll be fighting nekomata for field time.
Her actual core passive won’t activate with Nekomata and double Phys has zero synergy as Jane's other passive requires a DoT(Shock for example) to be on the target.
Jane is literally all about disorder comps. Maybe read her kit and you'll understand that Grace and Rina/Seth will be her best team. 3/3 passives btw, just say you suck at playing disorder teams.
@Shunazo417 Love how everyone tries to make the point that "they'll be fighting for field time" when Nekomata has a 6 second damage window and aside from that ideally wants to be attacking stunned units for max dps. One of her cons is literally how small of a window she gets high dps compared to characters like Ellen.
Really do not understand why you think "double physical has zero synergy" every single team wants to be either mono element, mono faction or double element and double faction. Nekomata's kit herself wants stunned enemies who have assault proc'd. It takes a lot to proc assault without an anomaly character. Let alone proc stun and assault as close together to get a full 6 second damage window on Nekomata.
I will say, now that her kit is actually out to see, that yes, Jane Doe's kit is based on anomaly teams. She'd still work with Neko, just not as synergistic on her team as I had hoped a physical anomaly character's kit would have been.
Rina still wouldn't fit that team though. Your suggestion of Seth makes more sense. It'd be Seth or Qingyi for that team. I love the look of Seth's kit and that anomaly proficiency on shielded swap in looks good, but the jury is still out on Tank characters in this game and it is really hard to top the %damage multiplier that stun characters give to stunned enemies.

Wanted Nekomata and got Lycaon and Koleda and the Big booby maid. I just want the cat. Lycaon has been a blessing though because I knew I wanted Ellen. So it worked out for him, but the other two I can't say so. Qingyi is almost a must pull but Jane for sure is a must..

For me i will go for Zhu yuan, for shiyu defense, elemental varieties is quite important for a smooth clearing experience. We most likely do not need QingYi because everyone have Anby. If you have Piper, you ptobably don't need Jane Doe.

Probably just gonna pull for Zhu Yuan honestly. I waited too long for a character that I liked on Honkai which every youtuber was calling OP but by the time it released I wasn't interested in the game anymore and started playing other stuff lol not gonna make the same mistake again.
Its better to get a character that you find fun now rather than not enjoying the current game, saving up for "meta" characters and dropping the game by the time the banner comes out.

I humbly say I've been lucky in my pulls so far, I'm currently sitting on a full freeze (Ellen/Lyc/Sou) and a Phys anomaly (Neko/Piper/Lucy) teams with an extra 120 pulls on the waiting and a pity buildup of 20 pulls. Still, I'm seriously considering trying my odds and pulling for her to have more options for team building (specially when you have a guaranteed element res on certain stages of Shiyu defense). She's fun and versatile, and the fact that there won't be any more ether-based dps for a while becomes a big selling point. That being said, I MADLY want Jane Doe lol, and the idea of losing out resources AND losing the pull kinda bugs me
