    Well done Dave, I love the way you talk us through how you break down complex parts into simple processes and go about building them with basic tools in limited space. You’re a natural teacher. Thank you.

    Really enjoyed watching how you shaped that gear stick turret. Amazing what you can do with very basic tools without having to spend the earth on expensive equipment.

    You really need the ring for the rubber cover a bit larger so that it is streched a bit.

    impressed with the hole cut with the jigsaw. didn't know that was do-able. I've spent holes drilling holes out and filing

      With a decent 24tpi metal blade, it works a treat.

    Good bit of fabrication as always Dave. I cheated when I did my gearbox tunnel I cut out the gear lever opening section from my old tunnel and used that section as part of my gear lever turret for my new bigger tunnel.

    That looks spot on Dave, worth the time and effort it took 👍.. mx5 hose ... You can get an alloy inline T with a sender take off .. but the bonus is , it will extend that hose slightly and it may well fit then

    Got rid of gasless wire years ago, gas all the way better all round my own personal opinion.

    Fantastic job Dave. Know what you mean about the gasless, you never really see anyone worth their salt using it much, if at all. Please, please, get some sort of kneeling mat, or, I bought some of those gel knee pads from Screwfix and they are fantastic. I am 71 now, and my knees are knackered having not taken any care with them when I was younger. Look after yourself mate.

    Lovely job Dave. I think you could have saved yourself a lot of time though by using a Princes Ham tin instead (& you could have had a nice meal out of the leftovers)

    Seriously excellent fab skills Dave I’m quite amazed at your spanner skills I was impressed when you put the lip around the radiator panel but this was quite brilliantly done especially as your finished piece was really quite a complicated shape and you made it with a hammer and spanner ! This is why I love this channel it’s something I look forward to watching ..nice job mate 👍

    Nice job dave is the mig gas the same they use in the pub and as good as argon

    • @becko1969
      @becko1969 7 місяців тому

      I used to use 'pub' gas , works fine but does cause a few amount of splatter ... I'm on argon mix now .. big bottles , much cleaner weld

      As per comment, I haven't tried argon mix, but happy with co2
