This is probably the most helpful video I've seen related to vocal chops. You actually explain why you are doing something when you do it. I feel like plenty of people say how but nobody says why, so I really appreciate you. Thanks for posting this!
after going through so many vocal chop tutorials, from slicex to exs24 to manually chopping and pitching. This is by far the best tutorial ever. Very solid and exactly what I wanted. Thanks :)
synthhacker, you are doing a great job on tutorials. I really wish to see more of you! all your tutorials has helped my sound design skills so freaking much so thank you.
Nice tutorial. Good level. I’m one of those who’s still undecided on using drum rack, chop to midi or cutting samples in channel. I love the visual element of seeing it in channel, but agree with you 100% it doesn’t give the same level of sound design.
Help! I keep getting clicks/pops between my vocal chops, even if i fade the samples in/out & theres no external processing yet. The Samples are high quality from splice, does anyone know how to get rid of this? And thank you Synthhacker for these tuts! you have taught me so much.
FL USERS: A super easy way to do it quickly would be just to drag a vocal sample into Fruity slicer and it will be assigned to your keys/piano roll to play.

Just wondering anyone know how to get the vocal slicer? My ableton doesn’t seem to have it.
It should just be called a Drum Rack if you look in your instruments tab!
