Thank you for getting back to me on the information, I bought the jigging world that is 125mm. It doesn’t look that much longer than the factory but I will take every leverage I can get.
They’re both the same diameter when you look at it from side profile. The 16ii is wider compared to the 12ii, gives close to a 100yard more. Best way to compare their sizes is look at drag specs. 8ii and 10ii are same side profile and smaller versions of the 12ii/16ii. 20ii/25ii are same side profile but much taller than the 12ii/16ii. Hope that helps.
The Lite model for the Talica is good. The full size a bit too large. In 2021, I was on 40lb leader and fighting a 100lb+ BFT on the Tac12 with factory egg knob. It was in deep color before it broke off and my reeling hand was cramped and stuck in the shape of a chicken feet holding that egg knob for so long. The pain lingered and thus began my T-Bar searches 😆
That reel isn’t designed for #100 BFT - but it’s great for #30-40 on flyline - I have become a loyal customer of the Daiwa Saltiga series - just as well made - awesome customer’s service if you need it - and they come with the best handles out there - I wouldn’t put a t-bar handle on a reel that I plan on using to cast distance - but some might…. I would just use a different reel.
@@michaelniemiec5235 agreed. I didn’t expect a 100lb+ to bite, we were getting school sizes all 2 of a 3 day trip. These big ones came at bottom of 9th. 40lb test flyline that got bit for 5 of us when 50/60lb test wouldn’t work. It was all casualties but one memorable moment lol. I like Daiwa. Have the SD saltigas, no LD yet. Hope to try one in the future.
@@Seastheday88 I think you will really like them - I think Daiwa has raised their game over Shimano - and you never know what’s gonna be end the end of your line - but Shimano would be doing itself a service with better handles for sure - nevertheless I own several Shimano reels - the design on the Trinidad is better for me for casting - good talk and appreciate your shares.
Lol trust me. I was tempted on the Talica 50 just for a more factory look. The Lite version looks decent since it’s similar to Makaira. But that large delrin is hideous, I just accepted that it’ll do the job it serves and the longer arm is worth the extra leverage 🤙
Thanks for the close ups adding the shimano Talica 50 handle to my 25 as I think thats a better fit.
Yes! Tac 50 handle will be perfect for the 25, longer handle for a bit more leverage too
Hi, my question is that I saw on Tiburon web that show TB-TAL-L for Talica reel and just want to know that fit with TAC II 20 ? Thank you.
@@PhuongBui-bg8zh they are Talica specific so they fit from 12-25 models. I believe it says it on their website as well in description. Thanks
@@Seastheday88 Thank you.
What larger Tiburon Handle model fits the Talica 25ii?
The larger one. It’s similar size to the Talica 50ii but way lighter overall
Do you happen to know the factory handle length for the talica 20/25? And how long is the handle in the upgraded tiburon you used?
Talica 12/16: 75mm
Talica 20/25: 83mm
Tiburon Lite: 86mm
Tiburon long: 89mm

@@tamalpias sorry for delays. Didn’t have a 20/25 in front of me initially
@@tamalpias the 125mm would be best. The low gear isn’t low enough for me so any longer handles helps so mich
Which model is the bigger talica in the video?

Would you recommend that for the Talica -12 or not?

Got a link for the handles?
I bought my big handle from Mahi Tackle in Huntington Beach, they have an eBay account. Got my Lite later from TheLongFin out of Orange.
Nice upgrade but boy those handles look ugly.
