@@wormway_69 it is overkill for that size reel. I got the 400 size for a 7 foot batallion and it works perfectly. Rod is rated 20-50lb braid and i have 50lb braod on it. For my surf rods I use the Squall 15 and Squall 30 star drags with 50lb and 65lb braid.

Haven't used it yet but soon. I recently bought a more standard size rod for it. I think a 12 foot surf casting is overkill.

I actually thought I would get some information from this video................what a waste of time.
It was off season and brand new at this time. But I can help out with any questions about this product and real life use.
