Hello everyone, today I unbox my first ever silver purchase. Feel free to ask questions down below, thanks for watching! Links SD Bullion: sdbullion.com/
Welcome to the PM club Alo. I was born in 1988 as well and got into the club about 2 yrs ago. Most other channels ate veteran stacker so it's refreshing to see a fresh take. GL
Thank you! I'm excited to be a part of the community, looking forward to learning, growing, and spreading our appreciation for precious metals all over. c:
Welcome to the silver stacking community! I’ve been stacking slow and steady for a little over an year now and I’m loving it! Just take your time don’t panic watch different silver stacking channels like myself and others to learn more about precious metals. Ps: I’m still learning myself.
This is GREAT! My first coin was from my grandmother and now I am sitting one over 100 different silver coins from around the world! She gave me a 1923 peace dollar!
Great video! Congratulation on your first silver purchase. I got my first silver coins when my stepdad passed away about 5 years ago. I've been purchasing ever since and even started melting down a lot of the silver I purchase and make my own art out of it. I sell my art here on YT in the coin community and dont do half bad. I'm up to purchasing 10oz bars and kilogram bars. Once you figure it out, you can make quite a bit of money with your silver if you play your cards right. A lot of people here in the coin community buy and resell and do pretty good. If you want to start stacking, let me know. I can introduce you to several channels you can purchase silver on for a lot less then what you paid SD Bullion or any of those other big name companies. You can get the same silver pieces you picked up along with A TON more variety. And like I said, for much less then what you probably paid.
What's up Alo? First off, congratulations on starting your stack of precious metals! Looks like you did well for your first haul....looks like all standard staple pieces; silver eagles, Britannias (my personal favorites), some buffalo rounds and other generics.....a very good start
Nice Congrats! Welcome to the awakening. I'm interested in how your channel turns out. Maybe explain why you started to buy silver and what your goals are with silver.
Hiya Knight! Your video popped up in my feed. Very nice pickups to start your stack. Be patient and stack consistently, the silvers accumulate faster than you might think. Ames one video! 👍🏻😊 Liked & Subbed
Good video. I just started stacking two week ago as well. There's alot to learn and It can get addicting. So far i've mixed it up between bullion and rounds
Congrats......if you get the silver bug the best advise I got was be sure buy what you really like, keep receipts, find a dry area above any possible flood height you can hide your valuables and bolt a safe in there, don't advertise your location on social media or what amount you are keeping that you show/ speak about to avoid thieves. If don't touch it with bare hands then it will look better later and can sell for more...white cotton gloves are best. Save your profit and sell to trusted fellow silver buyer so you don't get the Local Coin Shop buy prices that are always less than they are worth.
Congratulations, I also started my stack with SD Bullion's silver eagle at spot deal about a year and a half ago. I've learned so much since then. Good luck with your new stack!
That milk-spotting is common with Royal Mint coins because they use borax to clean their dies. The buffalos are rounds. Coins are dated and from a sovereign mint. 👍
Try and avoid Britannia coins as their quality isn't great. Perth mint and Germania coins are excellent and probably offer the best quality and design. Enjoy stacking.
That one that you did not know what it is (I forgot what it is called now) but there was only 100,000 minted. I got 3 of them and they have already gone up in value. You did real well on your selection, congrats and welcome to the club, smart fella.
Knowing why one buys is the most important thing. My reasoning is to hedge against inflation especially when stocks and bonds are doing poorly and high inflation with a falling dollar.
Go slow. Don’t buy into the hype and the doom predictors. Before believing what you hear, always, Follow The Money to be sure you’re not being led down a rabbit hole where it’s easy to drop your hard earned cash.
Slow and steady for sure, thanks for pointing that pitfall, I;ve heard of a lot of others going all in too quickly or too heavy too quickly. I'm taking a DCA approach, tried and true!
Welcome Alo Knight to the world of precious metals - my tip is that regardless of where you buy your metals from, ALWAYS TEST THEM, in the end it's your responsibility to know what you have is REAL. Learn how to test your metals, and any time you receive new metal, put them through your tried and true test cases, magnetic, dimatnetic, ping, measurements, weight, electronic... invest in your equipment kit if you plan on doing this long term my friend, and you'll have no regrets!
Always add to your stack… but when the markets are way down, have money ready to buy. And when the markets are good.. don’t be afraid to take a bit of profit. American Eagles sell with a premium they go for 35-60 junk silver is a great way to buy silver as well, I like nickels cause their super easy to get at near spot.
Welcome to the silver family brother.. that's a very nice ASE.. never get rid of it...and some very nice pick-ups as well.... Congrats 🎉. Oh.. and my biggest tip for a beginner is... Do your research on everything you buy .. find out what you like. And get it... Don't worry about what everyone else is getting... Mine is constitutional silver... But that's just what I love..
I love Constitutional silver! Not because of the usual reasons. If you can convince someone to trade for junk silver then they will trade for any silver. But, I can scoop it in my hands and let it pour through my fingers and watch and listen to it ring without worrying about hurting the condition and value. Too bad the premiums are crazy. Glad I got in at 18x. My LCS only takes cash, so now I will get what I came for and use what's left over to pick up however much junk I can.
Greetings, I got a random 5 oz round silver from sd bullion and got sent a 5 oz Trump round which they don't sell on the site not a fan so going to sell it to anyone that gives me a decent price
Highly recommend checking out some your local coin shops they almost always are better deals and its just a more fulfilling experiance buying local imo. Nothing better than walking in with cash and out with metal, not CC fees no tracking ect.
Did you just make this purchase? Or is this a old video that you just posted? Just curious if the offer for getting a silver eagle at spot price for signing up is still a option or not. If so I will definatly be doing that
It's an old video I just posted but I believe there's still a similar offer. Not exactly the same but silver at spot is still in involved. I would definitely hop on it!
i think right now they are selling a 5 oz bar at spot or a 10 gram bar of gold at spot. but i saw that a couple of weeks ago before the spot price for both went up. so, i’m not sure if they still have that deal
@Alo Knight Would buy some junk silver to add. Must not be only us junk silver. Can be canadian junk silver or junk silver from Europe. As the premiums so high for 999 bullions i bought more junk silver. Today i have around 60 percent junk silver vs. 40 percent 999 silver in stock. I buy rarely 999 silver nowadays.
Nice Well done ,You Won"t reget it ,It will always Hold Value as the years go By ,And If the worst Happens its a good Insurance Policy ,Problem Is Every one Is So Used too FIAT Fake Money They think its all about Getting Rich Quick , Witch It Isn"t
bad bad bad Alo, don't start now when prices are high. Wait for prices and premiums are low, then start. Also, premiums are nuts right now. Find out when silver and gold prices go down or up and go from there. When you see those dips in the market then go for it. Now if you are going to waste your money anyways, as in buy a muscle car or something. You may as well just buy the silver. Don't worry about FOMO. Banks are now offering higher interest savings accounts. Find one with no fees and start saving. You get some interest and guess what. No premiums.
I actually started months ago, I haven't bought any more silver in a month or so since it's been really high lately. I recorded that video a while back when silver was in the $20-$21 range, thankfully that's when I started. I have an amount I'm happy with right now so I'm going to wait till the prices go back down again.
Nice choices. That one coin looked like a Queen’s Beasts. Buffalos are made by many different mints. A lot of them have mint marks. SilverTowne pick ax, Cut Saw Mint saw blade. I have fun collecting them from different mints but never buy from eBay. Way too expensive.
That coin you didn’t recognize is the British Royal Arms. Now get some air-tight coin holders to protect your investment, and don’t handle your silver with bare hands; the oil from your skin isn’t good for the silver.
@@aloknight3656 dont over kill the air tights like some people do lol the flips they came in are just fine and throw them in a zip lock bag and youll be good to go
I'd go for generic rounds for sure, they'll have the lowest premiums and in turn are usually the cheapest. Something like buffalos and dealer-exclusive rounds are what I go for when I'm trying to get the most bang for my buck.
